I am in my upper 20's and have been studying Japanese by myself for 2-3 years now. I am using every method possible and have several j-penpals. I also have a Japanese blog to practice writing and to bond with my j-penpals better. I'm a total japan-fanatic and drive everyone I know insane with my talk about Japan. My friends have created a new word to describe any time I go off about Japan... which is... "Japanned."
I hope to visit Japan next year to go shopping, see my penpals and see the sites. I would love to get a job involving Japan, someday.... such as a local guided tour for Japanese visitors, import/export, travelling businessman or translator. I'm also a huge anime fanatic & I love to collect anime toys. I would definitely fit the definition of "otaku" as I am definitely obsessed.
You've been japanned!

Hello everyone, my name is Naomi. I'm 18 and a sophomore in college. When I was young I lived with my Japanese grandmother and according to everyone I was fluent in Japanese, but when we moved I forgot everything. I'm a military brat and my dad was stationed in Japan for 4 years so I started learning the language again there but moved and forgot most of it until high school were I took classes, until we moved again and now I know very little sweatdrop I want to relearn Japanese and hopefully keep it this time. I plan on being a special education teacher working for elementary schools on military bases in Japan when I graduate so I have more reason to learn now. I'm obessed with anime, manga, crafts, and dancing.

hmm... my real name's peg.. but online friends know me as nuriko or nuri for short~
i started learning japanese by myself for about a year. then i went to take a beginner course in my local community center, but it was too slow and i learn like a small percentage MORE than what i was learning by myself.
so when i found a good school, cambridge languages, i signed up for the JLPT 4 course.. haven't been going to lessons for about 2 years.. school's too busy.. and i moved house so it's further from my japanese school. am trying to plan my timetable to allow me to resume my lessons.
oh ya.. i'm gonna be 20 soon.. iyadaa~~ i wanna be young forever~ XD i'm from singapore.. sweatdrop
cant think of more to write.. i guess if i hang around more, you guys will know me more~ ^_^

Hi. I just joined. My name is Ali, I'm 17, I'm sadly too young to learn Japanese officially, and... well, I have an obsession with Japan.
