She is skilled in enchanting and in fact that is what she does all day. She tends to be shy about things going wrong and might even snap at others only to go afterwards hide in another room. She is proud of her work and hates to be interrupted.
She really didn’t care who her betrothed was as long as they didn’t stop her from her enchanting. Thankfully she was paired with Cobalt Vanguard. He doesn’t mind her work and in fact will spend hours discussing effectiveness of enchantments and often finds her books and resources she wants.

The Crystalvien family specializing in enchanting and Gormlaith is no exception. She buries herself in her work and learned from the time she was a small foal. She knew she would be paired with another old family latter in life and she never thought about it. She lost herself in the magic and wonder of enchantment. To that end she was always a bit awkward when it came to social meetings. Her family fearing her becoming and embarrassment but not wanting to stifle her innovation simply let her skip such events. To that end she finds social obligations a pain in part and in part also fears them. She has done a number of experiments when it came to enchanting that lead her to keeping her tail and main short in the event of explosions or fire. So those nice pretty social gatherings she feels very out of place.
When she learned she was betrothed to a member of the vanguard family she was curious about him but also fearful. She heard he had studied defensive magic. To impress him on their first meeting she studied defensive enchantments and places one she had learned on a crystal to give to him.
