*Castle Kyrandia: Hallway*
On his way out, Johnathan ran into Kallak.

Johnathan, what happened? Where's my Grandson Brandon, Dragonkin Brandywine & Brandon's sweetheart Marina?

The King has vanished along with Marina, Brandy, Xion & the purple mermaid that I saw!

Kallak was starting to worry. Oh no! This can't be! There's no way of telling if he'll ever return with Brandy, Marina, Xion & the purple Mermaid! I'll notify Brynn and let her know about this, so can find them with her magic! Before you return home, Johnathan, contact any adventurers who haven't been tainted by evil and send out a search party at once! I won't rest until my grandson is back on his throne where he belongs! Kallak was in a state of panic as his Grandson has disappeared. Without Brandywine & Brandon, Kyrandia was left without a defender & the next attack by the corrupted and evil beings could be Kyrandia's last, all of Kyrandia would fall at this rate just like it did once before when Malcolm the Jester went mad & killed the former king and queen in his attempt to overthrow the land. Worse still, if there was another attack by evil forces, they would see their chance to take over Kyrandia and without Brandon around, no one could stop them.

*Time Card: 1 Hour Later, Timbermist Beach*
Johnathan's search party searched everywhere in Kyrandia but no success. Dejected, Johnathan went to the shores feeling lost without his king. The disappearance of King Brandon was starting to take its toll. Brandon's gone. And so is Marina, Xion, Kitty & the Purple Mermaid. Johnathan got down on his knees and began to cry after the King & his future queen along with his new friends went missing. Without Brandon, Kyrandia was left without a king, the island needed a hero to save the day, but who? If the Dark Storm Continued to spread from Paris all the way to Kyrandia and other parts of the earth, it could destroy the planet. Then Johnathan had an idea, at the Library, he remembered what he read other islands, one of pictures in the Books of Mako island but he would need some help for this Rescue Operation. Johnathan used the purple gem on his amulet after entering the beach water then turned himself into a merman and swam off in search of some help. The Kyrandian Gems were now embedded on his scales.
*exit Johnathan*

Lara didn't know what to do. She was very much confused about everything. She followed everyone that had entered the portal just so she wouldn't be alone in a strange place. she wanted to go home, to check on her family.

"Um... Okay..." she said as Xion helped her. She couldn't walk very fast being she was still new with having legs and feet. "I can... go back home when everything is finished, right? I don't want to be human.... I mean, I like human things, but never really wanted to be human..."


Marina smiled a little at Brandon. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Although she was feeling very exhausted from everything that had happened that day. "I'm tired.... but I don't want to be away from you... things are still very bad out there. I'm worried about not only the island, but my family too."


"Prince Richard!" As the bubble forms, it would unveil a frightening scene. Prine Richard and his guards in a cave on the coast of Timermist beach. "Prince Richard, please wake up! Why isn't the amulet working on him?" Soldiers and servants from the castle were all in the cave as if they were hiding.

"Lord Kallak?" one of the soldiers said, standing and bowing in respect. "Lord Kallak, how is Castle Kyrandia? We were attacked by our own villagers in the middle of the night. Prince Richard got hurt and the amulets aren't working on him. We don't know what to do. How is King Brandon? Is he okay?"

Another person that was next to Richard stands next to the soldier. She had red hair and wore a mystic robe. "Sir, Richard has been placed under a curse... He won't wake up. He's also getting slowly burned by the acid in the rain. It's spreading up his arm. I believe a true love's kiss can break it, but no one here knows if the Prince even has a true love. All we know is that he spends a lot of time on this beach... We came here in hopes of maybe finding someone, but no one has shown up... Most likely due to the rain. If we can't break this curse, I don't know what's going to happen."

“He was fighting back the mob that had stormed the castle,” the redhead mystic said frowning. “They drove him into the rain. As soon as his arm hit it, it burned through and hit his skin. When he was distracted by that, a dark cloud went through him and he’s been passed out ever since. The burning on his arm started on his hand. It’s just passed his elbow. I don’t know how much longer he’ll last!”


“It’s very nice,” Lara said, not sure how to process everything. “The water is warm…” She lifted one leg up, then the other as Xion helped get her washed. “My dreams? I don’t know really... I mean… I like the human world, but I didn’t want to live in it… I don’t think I do… What about you? What are your dreams and wishes?” She looked at the pearls on her ankle. She had them for as long as she could remember. Her mother told her that they were meant to find their one true love. Someone that will love them. She wanted that. “My dream is to live happily with whoever is able to remove those pearls. Whoever can remove them is our ‘True Love.’ Brandon was able to remove Marina’s. They’re meant to be together. I want that too.”


Marina smiled and hid her face in Brandon’s chest as he carried her into his room. She listened to him speak, trying to comfort her and get her mind off the things she was worried about. She hoped the Timbermist Prince can help. “What about you? You haven’t rested either. You should take a nap.” Marina heard her name getting called and she looked up. It was Brandy with a pretty silver rose in her hand. “Xion is helping Lara in the bathroom.”


“I’ll try Lord Kallak,” the red-headed girl said. “Alright, everyone line up beside the prince. We’re moving him to Castle Kyrandia!” The soldiers lined up along Richard’s body and lifted the cot he was laying on. The red head girl used the amulet to open a portal into the castle. “Alright, let's go. Everyone. No one gets left behind.”

“It’s not that simple,” the girl said. “We’ve tried out amulets, different waking potions… We’ve concluded that it’s some kind of curse that was placed on him. We tried all kinds of things on him. Lord Kallak, would you happen to think of ANYONE that might be able to break the curse?” The girl looked around, making sure that the soldiers put the prince down. “Thirty corrupted adventurers? Sir, we were attacked by our own lumbermen…”


“You would have to ask Marina and Brandon,” Lara said. She didn’t know what a Flower girl even was. She didn’t know how human weddings even worked. She wanted to dunk her head under the water, but then Xion started to wash her hair. Sighing, Lara just sat in the tub in silence.


Marina smiled a little when Brandon laid next to her. She snuggled up closed to him before she fell asleep in his arms.

“Oh that’s wonderful news!” the girl said. She then told the soldiers to take the prince to the guest room. “I’m must apologize, my name is Emelia. I’m one of the mystics that was assigned to Prince Brandon. I’m also in training. I do hope I did a good job…”



“It was alright I guess,” Lara said as she ran her hand through her hair. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do now. “Brandy, you can come in, right Xion?”

“That you for that sir,” Emelia said. “If you will excuse me, I should really be watching of Prince Richard. I think that whatever took control of the lumbermen is also trying to take control of Richard. If only we could find the woman he was meeting on the beach, but she’s nowhere to be found… I heard rumors that it was a mermaid, but I don’t know any mermaids… Do you have an idea?”



Lara stood from the bath very carefully. She wrapped the towel around her body and took a step out of the tub. “I would like that very much, Xion.”

“I wish I knew,” Emelia said quietly. “They met quite often… I heard rumors it was one of the mermaid princesses from the underwater kingdom, but that’s absurd. The Underwater king wouldn’t allow that, right?”



“Hello,” Lara said, holding the towel around herself. She wasn’t sure how she felt. “It’s very nice to meet you…”

“Maybe we should ask the Undersea kingdom about it?” Emelia suggested.






“Um… okay,” Lara said. She was feeling cold. She wished that she had more towel. “I’m a little cold…”
