She knew the guy was strong, was powerful, but heck she didn't know he could reverse damage like this. MAN THAT'S A LOTTA DAMAGE! To have reversed of course. She watched from her position above, the three criminals tossed in a pile, awaiting the officers that were on their way up to the Bone Lady. Maeko's eyes quickly fell upon Kaito. With a deep breath and an arm outstretched, she repeated her bone forest technique, but only made two spikes. One tearing up through the ground next to Kaito. Just sitting there. For several minutes. THEN BOOM SHE SHOT THROUGH IT, CLUBBING HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH HER FIST! "HEY YOU LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY AT THE FESTIVAL YOU BAKA!!!" With that she hmphed and turned around, arms crossed, she hadn't hit him as hard as she wanted, and really was making a scene hoping the boy would catch on that she did in fact just want some form of attention from him. But a Woman's mind is fickle and hard for most men to understand. "So who was that you were with." That phrase however came out cold, and covered in razors. She was completely serious. __ The muscles in his shoulders involuntarily tensed as his adrenaline decreased and he had time to reflect on the events. It had been five years since he even needed to activate the Tenseigan at all. It was a sacred gift bestowed on him by Evergreen herself to use only in the preservation of the natural order. The fact that Kenshin felt its usage was necessary in this case on top of being avoidable served to infuriate the Sannin further. Kazuto's celebrating and Avalanche's disappearance caused his jaw to clench. When the captain was addressed by Kaito he turned to face him. Kaito, Kazuto, Maeko, and the pharmaceutical company representative would see his illuminated blue eyes revert to their expressionless base. Kenshin did not know the answer to Kaito's question but the newcomer from the drug's corporate producer seemed to have further context. "Is this what all of you consider a job well done? Hundreds of homes destroyed and mass destruction to almost a quarter of the village. This is what working with a vigilante gets you. Chaos, destruction, disorder. Who knows how many innocent people could've died in the crossfire? You'll all be getting a writeup from me." Kenshin seethed at the dangerous mishandling of the mission. His further actions would have been far more serious if there were civilian deaths and irreversible damage to the village. The only bright side he saw here was that he was available to intervene and the arrests were made because of the restraints the Arashi ninjas made and the squadron of officers he called in. It was becoming even clearer that Kenshin's decision to continue leading the police department and resigning from advising was the only right decision. His sharp eyes then turned to the company rep. "All evidence must be processed even if the case isn't open according to APD procedure. Even though following police protocol seems to be lacking in Arashi these days I'll still abide them." Kenshin then allowed his snide comment towards the shinobi surrounding him to sit in silence for a few short moments before continuing. "I assure you that Nikkyo will have its property returned by the Department within the next fourteen business days." Once the arrested criminals were collected Kenshin left the younger shinobi to walk beside the chain gang and his subordinate officers back to the CORE Compound.

If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Kaito ducked forward when Maeko appeared and tried to hit his head, narrowing his eyes in her direction before drawing his attention back to Captain Kosei. Unfortunately, his local APD hero was not a fan of his work and admonished him in front of the company representative.
"The vigilante wasn't-" He began to defend, then shut his mouth as Kosei continued talking and then assured the company representative that everything would turn out okay. Kaito's heart dropped at being told publicly that he had done a bad job, but the cheerful voice at the back of his head insisted he could do better in the future. He was unsure what to make of the conflicting emotions and distantly was aware it was making him appear to moody to only sometimes be his 'usual' sunshine-y self and other times be brooding.
Still. "Of course," he muttered under his breath as Kosei turned back to go to the CORE compound. He wasn't happy to be written up but they had, overall, done something right, right? "I need to go," he said dismissively, not meeting the representative's eyes or Maeko's as he fled the scene to sort himself out.

Suddenly, unexpectantly, a siren would be let loose across the resedential district grounds. Shinobi would be landing in and evacuating the area in their standard-issue equipment. Families and civilians were being led away. The residential district would suddenly fill with deformed creatures. A massive creature the size of some boss summons would appear set to demolish buildings with an entourage of flying sharks releasing concentrated beams of boiling water from the sky.

SHIONxxxxxMORI A brilliant display of black and blue light streaked downwards from the sky like a falling star, leaving a brief, burning trail in its wake. In an equally brilliant display of violence, the burning streak would rip through the body of the crab-horse as it continued on towards the flock of flying sharks, stopping only once it was close enough to unleash its own hellish barrage. The blur stopped, revealing itself to be Shion, body cloaked in a wreath of roaring, blue flames and an equally as intense flame sparked in her eye. The anbu captain would let loose an inhuman roar, all her anger, wrath, and regret all bottled into one primal scream. A spark of black light flicked in her mouth and gradually built into a constant beam of energy which the pained host would sweep along the the flock of sharks.
She kept it up for as long as she could, but even a demon-host's body has limits. The beam eminating from Shion's mouth began to flicker and fade, eventually ending its destruction in a few flickering fireballs. As the wreckage of her attack crashed to the ground, Shion would stand in the center of the now calmed scene, taking a moment to collect herself before moving on to the next area.

The energy wave is 65 feet wide and can hit anything in the same area or another relatively near location entirely. The beam won't explode or do anything more than steadily barrage the target that it is shot at for a few seconds after it is fired; however, the resulting damage guarantees that virtually any obstacle in the Tailed Beast Ball Wave's path will be obliterated. Utilizing some kind of sensory technique is most beneficial if targeting enemies beyond the user's immediate area. Useable once per transformation.

Takao's vibes were being crushed by the merchant's anxiety. He tried to be understanding but it wasn't often that he himself felt helpless so he couldn't sympathize well. "Listen man," he interrupted the merchant's verbal vomit about how likely they were to die on their way to his home, "I am more than capable of handling five owl bears on my own, and I am more than capable of guarding you on your way home. Come on, man. Trust me."
The merchant's expression was sour, but he shut up for the rest of the trip. Thankfully, there were no more owl bears in the district. In fact, it was weirdly quiet. Takao didn't question his good fortune, leading the merchant to his home with little fuss; his daughter ran out the door to greet her father and the two embraced, warming Takao's heart.
"Daddy! Daddy! There was a lady out there who destroyed the bad monsters!" Takao's brow furrowed at the explanation, as he hadn't seen anyone, but he didn't bother interrogating the kid. The merchant spoke with his daughter and went inside to see the rest of his family without a second glance to Takao. "You're welcome," he muttered under his breath, but didn't feel really bitter about it; instead, he was curious about this lady the girl had spoke of. More than that, he felt a duty to investigate the village because there were apparently a lot more monsters than he thought.

Where Unki propelled herself off to was no mystery from the start. Unki and her clone had a common interest in making sure one thing on thing was going to happen today. Cook! The truest of Unki's, formerly flying, rolled onto the ground before she could stop. Like a little acrobat, Unki somehow managed to roll herself onto her feet and then jump. Not really "jump" but just stopped, stood, and reached upward like she "nailed it" and wanted the whole world to know. A very small applause from the secondary palace's mail carrier, who was relaxing around at their post, rang out.
Later, the woman turned up back in her kitchen. The second kitchen. The first kitchen was temporarily out of Unki's management back in The Cloud. Ujitoki, the quietly appointed steward overseeing the Imperial Capital's function, was surely putting the kitchen to use (if only he could cook). This kitchen had all of Unki's dearest resources at hand and ready: her pans, spoons, spatulas and other handy-dandy kitchen goodies all nestled away in their respective cabinets.
What else but to do in a kitchen but cook? She knew exactly what she wanted to put together today. A couple of items that would make more than a single meal but Unki was totally ready to haul a bunch of goodies around. A cutting board, spoons, a cooking pot, a frying pan, and a knife were all assembled onto the counter. [Kitchen Prep. 1 - E]
Her counter was typically kept tidy in and even so in between mealtime. Unki was usually the hand who tidied up her kitchen. Yes, there were members of the palace staff who were acquainted with keeping the kitchen tidy in their Lady's absence but Unki preferred tending to her own spaces when she could. Often. Cleaning her own kitchen was also essential in keeping tabs on where things were. The drink ware, for instance, were all in wait for use. Unki collected a couple drinking glasses. The funny kind of glasses that were more like seal-able bottles than anything. She had plans for fancy drinks to haul around with her and maybe even give away. Her supplies were clean, supposedly, presumably. Although nothing like a rinse of water from sink was better for rinsing away the dust. [Kitchen Prep 3 -D] As for the ingredients for the first recipe she desired what was more simple than water, lemons, mint leaves, and a bit of sugar? Lemonade doesn't have to be the sparkly with a huge amount of prep work. Lemonade was simple but still in need of care to avoid overdoing the portions. The reward was ideally very refreshing and with just enough sweet. Unki's next step went into collecting a pitcher of cold water from a shelf in her refrigerator. [Food Preparation 1 - D] She placed the pitcher on the counter and out of the way of her little heap of cooking supplies. This beverage was just step one on her list of wants. Lemons. Did she have lemons? Better yet, are there ENOUGH lemons in the kitchen? The recipe Unki was referencing was found in a book that she kept on a shelf adjacent to a counter. The book calls for two lemons and a approximately two cups of lemon juice and a recommendation of using eight to ten lemons. She wasn't going back out lemon shopping for a plain jane bottle of lemonade! She hissed! [Food Preparation 2 - D]
Unki hissed at her book! "S-subsitution," she said as her fist slammed the counter top. Unki's current preference to cook in a pair of slippers help her slide back over to the refrigerator. A chilled bottle of lemon juice will have to do. The big bottle is excellent for making sure this zesty, citrus juice was available to sate the omnipresent need to drip juice carefully over delicious fish (or for enacting vengeance on one's spouse with dastardly deeds). [Food Preparation 2 - D] Actual lemons were found to be present in a suspended fruit basket under a ceiling mounted cabinet just to the side of the 'fridge. It was best to set those aside for zest and an eventual squeeze into the juice. The recipe instructs its avid chefs to start on the stove, in a saucepan, and follow the first step into combining two cups of water and two cups of sugar. Unki did as the recipe suggests and placed her cooking pot on the stove. The heat turned to a lower setting for her work. [Food Preparation 3 - D]
She divided the water pitcher into a measuring cup and added it to the pot. The sugar was stored in a container and stowed in a select cabinet. Unki shoveled out one cup, two cup with a handy measured scoop into the pot. One of her waiting spoons was used to gently stir. [Food Preparation 4 - D]
What comes of this water and sugar combination is a simple syrup. Unki left the pot as is and adhered to the next step under the recipe's guidance. Lemons. The two lemons from the basket were placed on the cutting board which the woman slid from the waiting array of cooking utensils to a spot front and center in front of her. A zester, as it is known, is a flat, long piece of metal which features tiny perorations that gentle tear away at fruit peels. Life can be lived without a zester and one can zest to their heart's content without one of these miniature grater utensils. . [Food Preparation 5 - D]
Since life doesn't have to be lived without a zester Unki's culinary dreams made certain that she bought one at the start of her life with Shiro in The Cloud. Bits of yellow lemon fell into an additional measuring cup and the next step guided Unki to slice each of her two lemons and then pulverise the citrus flesh into oblivion in her hands. Forget the squeezing tool, Unki had enough strength to squash each lemon into squishy, squashy pieces and all so with her eyes shut. [Food Preparation 6 - D]
At this magical point was Unki able to mix everything together. She wasn't exactly actually cooking but she was putting all the ingredients together. While the recipe was ordinary and the resulting presentation was essentially very ordinary too this cup of lemonade wasn't meant to be ordinary one bit. Did you know she had a tiny herb garden? A tiny herb garden lives in a pot in front of a window in the kitchen. The indoor garden stays pretty far away from the actual kitchen. Nobody wants soil in their food! A snippet of mint was taken. Unki washed off what dirt and dust present from this happily thriving indoor plant and sufficient bits were added the seal-able bottles she wanted to take with. The recipe asks to muddle the plants; Unki muddled away on the mint with a spoon and added a slice of the lemon she squashed with a pinch of sugar to the muddled mix. Avalanche moved with Kaito onto the residential district area of Arashigakure. There was no distractions which impeded the two from arriving at Cherry Tree Lane, which is where Avalanche continued to look over. As the two moved, however, Avalanche was looking at the houses. The intern did not give them a direct address, so it was up to their eyes as to which one was the office. Thankfully a therapist building should look different from a home, but in case the difference was subtle the vigilante continued to look at both sides of the street thoroughly. As they did, however, they wondered which one of these houses was Kaito's mother's home. The boy mentioned that his mother lived on the same street, and Avalanche was admittedly curious about what house the boy grew up in. They wondered if Kaito would introduce them to their mother, since from previous rants about home it was clear that there was tension with home life prior to the two of them living together. They also wondered if the mother had heterochromatic eyes, or if that was unique to Kaito. They actually wondered quite a bit about how Kaito perceived them, which seemed like way too much to think about at the moment. So instead they chose to hyper fixate on the buildings and push out those intrusive thoughts.
Their walk through Cherry Tree Lane was so pleasant despite the pressure to end corruption in the APD that Kaito almost completely forgot about the task at hand. At one point, he stopped even looking for a therapist's office and simply walked with Avalanche with a serene expression.
"Oh, sweet pea! It's been so long!" Suddenly, the duo were face to face with a plump, short older woman with curly brown hair, freckles, and deep brown eyes. Her face scrunched up with joy as she brought her hands up to touch Kaito's cheeks, shaking him side to side as she squealed in joy before taking him into a big embrace. "I've missed you sweet pea!~ My little busy boy, my popular police officer, my absolute angel!" She loved on him some more, leaving a huge kiss on each of his cheeks once she unwrapped her arms around him.
"Hey, Mama. Long time no see, huh? Oh- uh, this is my... partner, Avalanche." He'd almost said friend - which wasn't incorrect by any means - but settled for partner. They were working a 'case' and he didn't want to embarrass Avalanche in front of his mother.
Naturally, she misunderstood. "Oh, how adorable! A partner! I've been telling you it is about time you bring your girlfriend or boyfriend around. Gosh, Kaito, how long have you been hiding this lovely face from me?!" Her tone at the end was stern, but she quickly turned back to gushing as she reached for Avalanche's face to give them the same treatment Kaito received.

▱▰▱Satoshi's shadow clone weaved through the crowds of people evacuating the area due to the explosion in the slums. He fought against the flow of the stream and eventually found his way home. Toso's house was all too familiar to him as he used his key to unlock the front door. The house was empty as well as dark from curtain coverage. He sighed as he retrieved a piece of paper and a pen before writing a simple letter.
Dear Toso,
As you know, I have been living with a secret that, if known, would put you in great peril. I am tired of living with the fear and shame of that secret. I just cannot take it anymore and I must leave. I am going to take a ship from the Aether Leyline with my friends and go into the great beyond. I believe that the prophecy I was given from Yatagarasu, the crow king and the premier worldly source of destiny, mandates that I do this. Parts of that prophecy have already come true and while I know you believe in free will, I do not believe that I can escape my fate. I have felt the burden that my presence here has placed on you and I hope that my leaving will fix that. Thank you for taking me in and supporting me despite the personal risk. I have loved you as the father I never had and I hope you feel the same. Know that I am only doing this because I am bound to my fate which is quoted below.

I would be a fool to think that I know what all of it means yet, but I believe that the line "The prince will rise but only when he falls" means that I must become a rogue. I never intend to return to Arashigakure, but I will miss you and Kameyo most of all. I do not fear what the future has in store for me and I hope that fate can bring us together once more, father.

He wrote the letter with ardent sincerity as he felt his eyes well up with tears. One tear from his left eye dropped onto the page as he rubbed his eyes with frustration. He had no other choice but to do this or at least that was what he kept telling himself. Satoshi wrote the letter in full that he had been planning in his head for many restless nights. Once he was done writing, he stood up and grabbed some keepsakes from his room, but returned to the kitchen table with his latest crow and Kraken drawing. He had drawn for Toso quite a few times before but this new one would be his last. The comic-style drawing featured the Kraken and crow hugging rather than fighting. He continued rubbing his eye before folding the finished letter up and placing it on top of the drawing. He wrote on the folded page with the simple note "For Toso only" and kept it all together on his placemat at the table. As he began collapsing into more tears the clone allowed himself to poof away.

Avalanche readied their hand to their sword when the strange woman came out of nowhere and knocked them out of their daydream. They postponed drawing their weapon when they recognize that it was not a threat, but instead Kaito's mother, who appropriately dotted on her son. Avalanche rustled their hair through their head as the woman was completely enamored with her son. When Kaito introduced Avalanche as their partner, the vigilante did not even get a chance to speak before the overbearing woman was all over them and their relationship to Kaito. "WHA-?!" They said in a gasp with their body leaned away in true shock and surprise as a dodge from the pinch cheek. The faintest hint of red erupted from their cheeks as their arms folded and they tried to compose themselves. "Do not dare to try and label me with your gender identities." They said in a pompous way that they would never have ever spoken if they weren't so completely embarrassed that the words coming out of their mouth didn't even really feel like talking, so much as an overwhelming vomit of words from their mouth. "Sorry, that came out wrong." They said with a sigh. Why did it feel like their insides were more tied up then a hundred headphones in one pocket? "What I meant to say is that your son and I are... just partners. We may share a house, but it's not like we're..." They felt their face burn bright again as they dramatically turned away. This was all a mess! How could anyone assume that Avalanche, a seeker of Justice and the Truth at all cost, would ever dare to think about being in a relationship? And yet, why did the words make them feel so embarrassed? It was a myriad of different things, but one thing that they refused to accept, and perhaps the one thing that was most true, is that it came from the concern of a loving mother.
Kaito's mom was taken aback at Avalanche's outburst, but she quickly smiled and cupped her head in her hand thoughtfully as she examined the vigilante. Yes, there was a chemistry here between Avalanche and Kaito that she couldn't deny. "Why, of course honey. Don't mind me. I've been told the kids keep things 'casual' and don't 'put labels on things.'" She used finger quotes around the hip new terms she was relatively unfamiliar with.
Kaito groaned with embarrassment and covered his face with his hands for a moment. "Mawwwwwm," he whined, "please stop embarrassing me."
She giggled and took another look at Avalanche before relenting. "What, you two don't want to come inside? I have some fresh, handmade strawberry ice cream."
"We're actually on a really important mission. Later?" He cleared his throat as he tried to recover his appearances after the childish groaning. He wasn't sure how to feel about Avalanche's deflection earlier but it wasn't like he knew how to describe their relationship accurately, either. It sort of did transcend labels, but that was a conversation for another time.
"Of course sweet pea. Just remember to bring your hunk with you~" She said, embarrassingly. She left a fat kiss on Kaito's forehead that he couldn't evade before continuing on her walk down the street, leaving a thoroughly embarrassed Kaito to clear his throat once more, though he had nothing to say for himself.
For one who isn't in "any rush" the next meal Unki sought to prepare had something to do with the salmon she requested to be purchased and brought to the kitchen some time before her escapade to the hospital. The request was enough fresh salmon for a couple rice bowls. The task of cleaning up the lemonade mess was a step by step process of rinsing a knife of lemon juices, moving one cutting board aside and into the sink. [Kitchen Prep. 1 - E ] A second cutting board, for meats, came from below in a cabinet near the stove. The board was checked for dust, wiped for good measure, and placed on the counter. The pot used to craft the syrup was put to rinse too. A little sugar in rice wouldn't spell the end of the world, honestly. However, no sane Unki could let herself cook rice in a sticky syrup pot unless she was required to for a literal sticky rice recipe or some jazz. [Kitchen Prep. 2 - E]
The faucet was turned on. Hot. Unki soaked a dry sponge its the running water and gave the sturdy interior of sticky pot a good rub down before she rinsed again. Hot water wasn't usually a huge problem for a fancy little lady like Unki. Granted, hot water wasn't confortable despite her abilities but the faucet water doesn't typically shy her away with pain. Her pink hands, however, tell a different story. [Kitchen Prep. - D]
A sashimi dish is usually a reasonably simple dish. Slicing sashimi grade fish is a delicate art, almost. Plainly butchering soft, smooth buttery fish to bits just doesn't cut it. Rice may be the runner-up in a sashimi meal beside the silkiness of a fish. With a cleaner pot than prior, water was filled into the pot again. Tap water. The pitcher with its cool refreshing drink of water was left be. [Food Preparation 1 - D] From sink to stove the pot of water was set to cook. Boil, rather, to be made ready for rice. Maybe she should have poured rice first and then water? No matter! RICE WAS GOING TO BE COOKED. Unki turned a fancy knob on the stove to heat and collected a cup to fetch rice. For convenience sake and to feed a bunch of hungry people the palace was certain to keep an immense bag of rice safe in the pantry. A. Bunch. Of. People. The whole staff, for instance, could be served through this kitchen. Granted, Unki wouldn't be the only one slaving over an oven during times like that. [Food Preparation 2 - D]
Two scoops from the rice bag was more than plenty for one Unki. One Unki-sized meal probably only needed a scoop, maybe. Her obsession with rice bowl dishes seem to have no end. Back at the stove the dry, long white grains of rice were poured into the water. Unki moved the cup, er- scoop out of sight and out of mind. She grabbed salt- for a pinch- and placed a lid on the warming pot. Rice was easily in the works however it was easy to burn or over boil. [Food Preparation 3 - D]
Salmon was really the next and just about the only other big time ingreident. On the cutting board, the soft orange slice of processed fish was prepped for the chop quickly after Unki fetched her fishy friend from a container. The knife was really all she needed then. Careful and steady slices into meat for even bites. The rice was cooking, all the while. Unki wasn't rushing perfection. [Food Preparation 4 - D]
Apparently, Unki had developed a hand for slicing fish. She enjoyed fish plenty well and wanted to make her plates as pretty as some top-knotch chef somewhere might. At this point she discarded her knife into the sink and fetched bowls for the rice. Everything else just fell into place, sort of. She had scooped white, fluffy warm rice coming to a cool in their individual bowls. [Special - Rank B (Actual Cooking!) #1, Salmon Ikura rice bowl] With rice, now far from being a steaming white heap of yumminess, being plated with slices of salmon in a gentle layer Unki was feeling exceptionally proud over. The recipe she was referencing her head suggested a "flower like". Salmon set around and on each other like a strange, orange salmon meat flower all in design to cover the rice. Don't bother asking where they such ingredients were stored. You see, the matter of trying to backtrack and tell you, Dear Reader, about the useless recesses of Unki's kitchen are a can of worms many might not be interested in right now. There are bigger fish to... plate. The sesame leaf. Unki places one per bowl, just off centered, for a delightful splash of green over the orange arrangement. The shredded seaweed was eased onto one half of the large, green leaf. A spoonful of red, squishy wet fish-egg sphears, from a fancy little jar, would top off each bowl for a colorful display. All the other Empresses of the world better be put to shame! Unki is one very happy to prep her own and her lovey's meals. Cooking usually left her feeling fine and dandy since her hand made everything perfect. Until. The kitchen windows rattled. Ceramic seasoning shakers shuddered at the single wave of discord. The celing lights flickered and her basket of handy fruit almost dared to sway. Then one, red spherical fish egg rolled and toppled out of place under Unki's tiny spoon. Oh. Hell. No. The perfect pile of fishy red garnish was ruined. The woman's brow twitched, her eyes opened wider and she set the spoon to the side. She brought herself to stand upright with a collect and calm facade before the beautiful meal she created. Inhale. EXHALE!
The toppling of red fish eggs brought the kitchen to feel Unki's unbridled wrath. Her culinary perfection was dead. A furious whine surged under her breath and with a vigorous rage fueling her hand, the salmon-soaked cutting board was shoved off the counter and flew all the way to the window. This was a long shot she nailed in one firey swing, believe me. Unki was wildly falling to bits. She stamped her feet together in a fit of rage. Snatched the little blue slippers off her feet and chucked them into the a light fixture and began to pull her own hair before landing a dramatic fall to the floor and screeched. Biting on her braid.
Behold, one additional example to further her claim about how Shiro's idea to pack up and move to the Storm was a terribly stupid idea. An unpredictable city makes an unpredictable Unki.
At some point during her perfectionist meltdown Unki stood back up. Still feeling the last trickles of her temperamental tragedy and ended up shoving all the dirtied utensils into the sink on the island counter, save for the bowls of rice and salmon. Her favorite confidante, Momi, came running from the hall in response to Unki's cries. The little Momi, in her best stripped dress, was greeted with Unki throwing herself on Momi's shoulders in a hysterical sob about something that boiled down to pretty much nothing but the hype of a perfectionist going berserk.
This whole kitchen ordeal ended with Momi promptly thwacking her superior with a clipboard and shooing Unki out of the kitchen. Looking more like a guilty dog with her tail between her legs, looking back at Momi in a whimper, Unki hugged her salmon bowls and left. {Exit}

▱▰▱Kenshin ran along the rooftops beside Kojiro. "Here's the status update. Antioch was waiting for me in the warehouse. The inside was designed like a talk show set and the audience was about fifty civilian hostages with explosive tags under their seats. He detonated a couple of seats and murdered them but I managed to trick him and release most of the audience. After that, he revealed Rio-Kyuri and Rosewater as hostages but they were decoys. That piece of paper was what the decoys left behind." Kenshin spoke in a clinical tone while using his training to subdue his fear and shock from the earlier encounter. "We need to secure Rosewater and capture Antioch. We'll report to the precinct after this and plan a sting." Despite having the feeling that he was about to be derailed, the highly administrative part of him desperately needed to have some semblance of a plan to hold onto. Once they arrived to the apartment complex he entered and searched for her unit's door before loudly knocking and bracing himself for any outcome.

Nuibari Attributes • Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.
Discipline & Cross Class Attributes • Expert: Rapier | The user has achieved a sense of mastery and focus unlike others and are known as an Expert, a dedicated focus over a weapon they use to near perfection. The shinobi can pick a single weapon, or two if dual wielding, to apply this focus toward with examples such as Katana, Spear, Bows or even Dual Daggers. They acquire a Keystone technique that is unique to them with an additional 2 Custom Techniques derived of this special ability. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information. They gain a [+1] boost to both speed and agility & techniques cost [5] less Chakra and/or Stamina per rank of the technique when wielding attacks with their specialized weapon in attack or defense. • Mystic Hero | The user has become adept at blending their ninjutsu and bukijutsu. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by making any flourish or deliberate movement to cast the technique in the direction the weapon is commanded. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu together with varying cool downs for a single activation. Limiting themselves to three of their class's styles, granting overwhelming in all three styles up to S Rank. Any additional slots that would be awarded for their class's styles are converted into a 2 point increase in any stats of their choosing. In addition, these masters of their arts are able to have a 1 point increase in their stats cap of 8 making it 9. Styles granted from rewards may be learned but do not carry the overwhelming property and the user is capped out at 5 styles.

When the rusted blade was awarded by the locals to Kenshin Kosei he discovered that it had the unique ability to merge with and empower one other weapon. When the katana was reworked to its fullest potential it had the abilities of his own weapon in addition to incredible lightning abilities. ▰ Ability Summary: Righteous Sword of the Sentinel [ Senchineru no Seigi no Ken ] | Rank E | Bloodline | Spiritual All forms of Hyuuga techniques including the gentle fist can be used through the sword for the 10 posts that this technique is active. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

• Way of the Hatake | Rank E | Passive The clan member can convert simple Formless Taijutsu and Bukijutsu to complex techniques, this adds the lightning element to all the user's techniques. In addition, Formless complex and spiritual techniques gain this lightning affinity as well if specified when utilizing the technique. • Fluid Movement | Rank E | Training Techniques used for a blocking, countering or evasive action have their cost reduced by 5 stamina per rank of the technique and must pay no less than 5 stamina. • Whirlpool Walking | Rank C | Training The user is now more adept at using circular footwork and can use it against multiple attackers, usually weaving between them, keeping them bumping into each other or simply getting in each others way, taking away any numerical advantage. In the deflecting stance, the user can deflect a technique of their body rank or lower once every three posts for no activation, still requiring the stamina/chakra cost paid. • Move as Water | Rank A | Training Description: The user has dealt with so many situations being outnumbered that their ability to move in tight and confined spaces is greatly increased. The user’s blade work is tighter, relying on their body and footwork to generate force. The user’s footwork is so fluid that they are able to turn on a dime, making a combination of strikes go into multiple directions without interrupting the combination. Techniques that target multiple opponents may now have additional reserves paid in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the individual attack to the next highest rank.These can be paid individually, not requiring chakra or stamina to be paid for every split technique. • Illusion Dancing | Rank E | Training After countless hours of practicing skills that utilize chakra pathways, the user is capable of leaving after images of themselves at the turning points of each pathway for an E rank amount of chakra during the execution of the technique. • May Wind, October Rain | Rank E | Training Focusing on their opponent's breathing, the user is able to detect abnormalities in their breathing patterns, indicating an offensive movement. Once every three posts, the user is able to defend against an offensive activation without utilizing an activation. This skill requires no chakra or activation. • Blessed Rain | Rank C | Training The user's informed of the incoming costs of what is to come, and as such, must practice their chakra control through controlled bursts from various parts of their body. Chakra cost for complex and spiritual bukijutsu techniques reduced by five. • Insight Rain | Rank B | Training The user will practice extending themselves into the atmosphere, in a sense. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent within the topic they are in. Those of Sensory Class are able to detect the specific source and the extent of the hostility. • Heavy Punch | Rank E | Training The basis of the style, punch hard, punch first. The user is able to spend stamina in order to increase the strength of their punches for no activation. For each rank applied, a slight increase to strength is conferred. • Combination Training | Rank S | Training Once every three posts, the user is able to deliver a choking or locking technique for no activation when following a successful throwing technique. • Minimum Effort; Maximum Efficiency | Rank S | Training The user's throwing techniques require 5 less stamina per rank of the technique with a minimum cost of 5 stamina.

Personal Attributes • Chidori Specialist | Grants [3] custom techniques to be used as variants of Chidori, these custom jutsu are considered a Chidori Variant. The user may also apply clan Augment techniques to Chidori, Chidori Variant and Raikiri Jutsu. In addition, the user's chidori techniques bypass all armor entirely. Raikiri is considered a Chidori Variant technique. Only techniques with the name [Chidori] or [Raikiri] are effected by this PA. • Hatake Fury | Bloodline and Raiton techniques have their chakra cost reduced by five per rank of the technique and gain an additional 4 Ninjutsu slots for raiton techniques. Additionally, the Hatake can now use their Raiton based techniques with single handed seals. • Sonic Boom | Lightning based techniques used by the Hatake are granted a concussive blast in the form of a sonic boom upon impact. This concussive blast has a range of five feet per rank of the parent technique. Those within the area of the blast have a knock-back effect applied if their body rank is lower than the parent technique. In addition, deafness is applied upon impact for two posts. • Elected Official | Kojiro gains 1.5 ryo for missions and jobs completed.

Your ninjutsu are not mirrored per element, but you gain an additional 3 Ninjutsu per rank up. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by simply pointing the tip or blade in the direction desired to launch the technique. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu at their body rank and below for a single activation every 3 posts. The user also gains an additional 3 ninjutsu slots each body rank. • Ninjutsu-Bukijutsu | Allows the user to gain +2 ninjutsu per rank.
