Thankfully there was a fairly large bar and the stools had a little more space between them so people weren't on top of each other. Edin would have to mentally note where the better seats are. The alcohol selection seems to be fairly varied. She continued looking around and she saw a familiar face. Esme? she thought as she began to approach him. "Oh hey! Didn't think I'd see you here. Before long the doors were opened, people began to pile in and the DJ began to spin his craft for the small, early crowd. Esme had served a few people the evening previous under the tutelage of his coworker and was feeling a bit confident now taking orders and serving customers. He was just dropping off a couple of drinks and forcing a laugh at a really terrible joke from a customer when a familiar voice distracted him. Esme turned to see Edin approaching him and his polite work smile softened into something more genuine. ”Oh, hello, Edin! I didn’t think I would run into you again so soon. Yes, I started here yesterday; I think I like it. I was a little nervous at first, being around so many people, but… Everyone is having so much fun that they only really notice me when they want more drinks. Oh! Were you looking for a table?”

Edin smiled at his reaction to seeing her again. She was happy that her presence brought a smile to his face. He seemed like a person who didn't smile that often but needed to. Caught off guard by his question, she had to think to herself a bit. "Ah! Sure. That would be fine with me. I mean. I guess I can't stand around the whole time I'm here. Just needed to unwind a bit from work. There's this one guy who comes in and just won't quit.."

Esme was surprised to see Edin, but he was very happy about it. Familiar faces always made work just a little easier. Esme led her to a table then looked to the woman curiously. ”Won’t quit? What do you mean? Is it someone who comes in to harass you?” Esme’s brows furrowed in some concern. He didn’t like the thought of someone causing his friends trouble and he already considered Edin a friend. He had eaten her food loved on her cat and passed out on her couch; she was definitely a friend in his book.
With two bags filled with hard bound books, Tsukasa leaned against the door and gave it a push to let himself in. It was already late and yet there seem to still be some customers present. Then again, this is a place where usually spend during the night. Nothing unusual about that. Though the books were heavy it cannot be seen in his actions for he gracefully waltz into his backroom and placed them into his locker. If anyone asks he just borrowed some books to read.
Once that was done, the fox made his way back to the bar and see if there were customers that needed to be attended. It seems that the ones he was with before have either finished their shift or are having their day off. Or so he thought, until his eyes landed on the little cutie he enjoyed teasing yesterday. It pleased him to see that he was not that uptight as before with the customer he was entertaining. It seemed that the little attempt he made to boost his confidence worked. It would be hypocritical of him to deny the fact that he's love to have the young man alone but maybe some other time. He was still in the middle of doing his job. As his superior he still needed to act appropriately. So instead, he gave him a quick wave paired with one of his princely smile as a greeting before attending to other customers as well.

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.- Aldous Huxley ╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
As Esme was waiting on Edin, he saw Tsukasa enter the establishment. The man was burdened with two, really heavy looking bags, but he managed to let himself in just fine, all the same. Esme thought to excuse himself and offer his manager some help, but Tsukasa did not seem at all slowed or hampered by the precious bundles of books. He waltzed through past customers and furniture with the grace of a well-read gazelle and disappeared into the backroom. Seeing as the man was obviously perfectly capable, Esme kept his attention on his customer and friend. After all, that was his job and it was his pleasure.
It was much, much easier to stay calm when Tsukasa was a room away and didn’t seem to notice him, Esme thought. Even just walking by, he had a presence that held Esme’s eye, but at least the blue haired waiter wasn’t blushing down to is toes the way he felt that he must have been on the day previous. He was able to keep a calm and casual demeanor. It helped that he had customers to serve; it was always easier for Esme to ignore how awkward he always felt when he was working. Then talking to people just became one more, necessary job skill and he would push himself to excel in it. It was only when it came time to socialize outside of work that he lost any trace of the open and inviting personality his customers were currently being treated to.
After all, he was still a shy creature at heart, which Tsukasa was sure to witness when he waved and Esme immediately blushed even though the man was behind the bar and had said nothing. He didn’t need to; Esme didn’t think he even could forget having Tsukasa leaning in close to him, whispering like a conspirator… Or a lover, his mind supplied very unhelpfully. Also unhelpful was that he could remember just how warm Tsukasa’s larger hand felt around his. That would be a difficult first impression to shake! Esme smiled sheepishly as he waved back, hoping that Tsukasa could not see how red his cheeks were from where he stood. The problem with that was that Edin obviously could. ”Um… Th-that’s Tsukasa: my boss. He’s… he seems really nice.” Esme explained awkwardly, deliberately leaving out the other adjectives he could use to describe Tsukasa like handsome or charming. At least Gideon wasn’t there as well. He wasn’t sure he could even face the two together considering what he could remember of his dream last night.
Tsukasa enjoyed the short time he was able to spend with Esme. Small reactions that imprinted a big impression in his heart. The coy smile of his only made it appear as an invitation to him, tempting him to bring out more of that adorable sheepishness all the more. Meeting his eyes, Tsukasa waved casually in hopes that he was to be treated of some sweets. As he had predicted the waiter gave a timid wave coupled with one of the cutest smiles he have ever seen. His vision may not be a good as Yuki but he was pretty sure that Esme would be blushing by now. That alone satisfied him. Yes, he'd be taking this cutie somewhere for sure. Where and when, only time can tell. With everything that had been going on for him, having some R & R would be loved.
For now he was satisfied by Esme's treat. He came here to check on things and see if the ones they needed for the party are ready for tomorrow. After entertaining some of the customers, Tsukasa excused himself and checked some of the drinks they would be bringing. The assignment on who would be buying what has already been set so this should do it for now. Truth be told, he is really excited about their team building. However, he was still worried about what Ringo told him back at the library. Yukino is looking around for him. The word that bothered him so was that the pink haired girl said he was homeless. After receiving Shiki's call he could not help but think that the two have separated ways. Then again, there was not much time for him to interrogate her so there's still a possibility that she was bluffing.
Tsukasa took out the business card of his where Ringo placed her number. "Maybe I should have talked to her longer." His thumb brushed against her writing before fishing out his phone to enter her contact information. He's still deliberating if he was to send her a message or let it be for the time being. There was still the case of Zara telling Shiki his whereabouts. He still needed to have that clarified. Oh, how he wished that time would fast forward so he can see her once more. A day not seeing her is like a year without rain.

Esme spoke to Edin a little longer and took her order before excusing himself to check on his other tables and greet newly entered guests to the establishment. It certainly kept him busy and on his toes! But he liked being busy. It was good to feel useful. It was really good to see people leave with smiles on their faces. Everyone was having such a good time and he made sure that their glasses were never empty for long. Plates of piping hot chicken and nachos were delivered and emptied almost as quickly as the kitchen could put them out. By the time Esme was relieved for a break, he was pretty exhausted, but still smiling. The waiter moved to the bar to sit and rest his feet and there he once more saw Tsukasa.
Esme bit his lower lip lightly as he looked to the man, his face slightly reddening. It had been pretty embarrassing for Edin to see his reaction to Tsukasa’s wave. He had admitted to being attracted to the man; how could he deny it? His face had been so red that he was certain that Edin had already known even before his confession. Of course that meant that Tsukasa might realize it as well… Oh, he hoped not! How embarrassing would that be? At least if Tsukasa didn’t know then he would never have to worry about being rejected by the handsome man. Or perhaps Tsukasa did notice his attraction but was making it easier on them both by pretending not to? Either way would work. Esme smiled, ignoring the lingering warmth in his face. He had to act naturally, too.
”Hi, Tsukasa… um… it’s a pretty good night so far. I mean, um… I think so, anyway. It’s been pretty busy and everyone looks pretty happy.” Esme was proud of himself for not outright stuttering, though he still looked down shyly with his hands folded in his lap. The man had seemed deep in thought and Esme hoped that he was not interrupting anything.
Tsukasa continued to play with the card in hand. There was this lingering feeling that he had forgotten something. One must understand that it can be quite frustrating when the person is used to remembering things. Call it one of the defect of having a photographic memory. They may have the ability to remember the contents of a book from cover to cover but not always do they retain everything in their head. A person can only use a certain percentage of his brain after all. His was just a little beyond that.
He was pulled out from his thoughts upon hearing a timid voice come near. His gaze went towards the waiter who has the same tempting expression for the fox to tease. "Good evening my little lamb." He said sweetly as he placed the card back to his pant pocket along with his phone. The lighting at the pub was not that bright but it was enough for him to see the tint of pink that was painted across his cheeks. Turning his body to face Esme completely, he kept his silence, listening intently to each word he tried to say with confidence. There were still a few pauses in his sentence though. Nevertheless compare to yesterday he was doing better.
Bringing his gaze up to the dance floor he decided to acknowledge the young man's attempts to start a conversation with him. "Indeed. You have done well, Esme. I have not seen a single frown since I got here." His eyes were brought back to the blue haired male and hoped that he would be able to meet his eyes. Alas, he still seem to feel uncomfortable in his presence. Not that he's complaining. He actually found the gesture pretty cute. "Until now that is." Hopefully, this would capture Esme's attention and lift his head up to meet his golden brown orbs. A soft sigh came out of his lips as he retained a pained smile on his lips. "Tell me. Am I really that scary?" He knew that's not the case but he just couldn't help it.

Edin nodded as she sat down in a booth,"He keeps giving me his number. Feel like I'm gonna see him outside my house, creepin. But I'll have to take out the trash if I do see him" she joked as she watched his attention being drawn elsewhere. She followed to where he was looking and saw a familiar face. It was the face on the photograph she was shown a few days back. She tried to remember the name that went with the face. Those guys she didn't have to wait long.
Esme said the man's name was Tsukasa. She waited and watched as they talked. She noticed Esme's face became red again, but chose to not point it out. As they talked, she ordered herself a drink and sipped it. The drink was very sweet and fruity. She would have to order it more often. Her eyes went around as she watched young couples dancing, eating and laughing. Oh how she missed that feeling..
╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.- Aldous Huxley ╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
Esme momentarily lifted his hands to cover his cheeks which grew even warmer once Tsukasa spoke. His little lamb? Esme wasn’t even sure what that meant, but it made his heart beat a little faster. If Tsukasa hadn’t noticed his blush before, the man was certain to now, Esme lamented though there was nothing that he could do about it. All that he could do was continue pretending that everything was normal and speak to Tsukasa as casually as he could muster. Which… was not very casually. But at least he was trying!
When Tsukasa said he had done well, Esme smiled brightly though he didn’t look up. It really was good to feel useful and he was very happy to hear such praise. Tsukasa had not seen a single frown and that meant he was doing a good job keeping people smiling. Oh, but what did the man mean by ‘until now?’ Esme lifted his head curiously, meeting Tsukasa’s gaze. He was shocked to see that the man’s smile seemed somewhat strained when he asked if he really was that scary. ”Oh, no! No, no; you really aren’t scary at all! It’s just… I’m just… you’re” The flustered waiter flailed his hands a little as he stumbled over his words then covered his red face with his hands, giving a flustered squeak.
”I’m sorry… It’s… it’s not that you’re scary, I promise.”Esme managed after a moment, slowly dropping his hands from his face to his lap. He smiled up at Tsukasa, forcing himself to meet the man’s eyes even though it was still difficult. ”Talking to people is hard for me sometimes… Especially, um… Never mind.” No, he definitely could not tell Tsukasa that it was partially because he was so handsome and kind. That was not something people just went around saying so freely. Or, at least he wouldn’t think so.
The little praise Tsukasa had given seemed to have pleased the Esme. Although that was not enough to have him look up to meet his eyes. Feeling eyes on him, Tsukasa briefly removed his gaze from the waiter and locked eyes with the woman he had been serving awhile ago. Like a gentleman that he aspired to become, Tsukasa offered a welcoming smiling to the guest with a gentle nod of acknowledgement. Her company seem to have boosted Esme's confidence a little so he'd took note to treat her to some drink later on. It would be nice if she was to come here more often. More customers means more money. More money means a possibility of a raise. Though he may not be here that long, he could really use as much cash as he could.
As if the communication between the customer did not happen, Tsukasa continued on to his play and brought his gaze back to his little lamb. This time his words seem to have taken effect was treated to another cute flustered Esme. Behind the mask was a very amused fox. Tsukasa maintained his pained expression, tilting his head slightly to the side like a curious dog trying to understand what he kind of explanation he would be able to come up with.
His fingers began to drum against the counter top as he awaited for Esme to calm down a little. He was really enjoying what the young man was doing before him. There was no reason for him to do anything to put a halt to it just yet. However, the moment Esme's hands pried themselves to show his flushed face Tsukasa's switch turned on. his fingers stopped from drumming as he slid them over the countertop walking closer the young man. "Especially........." He repeated his words leaving it open for him to continue. Whether he was to finish his sentence or not, Tsukasa would continue to come near the waiter until he was a feet away from him. For a minute he would continue to stare at him as if trying to entrance him in his spell.
"What the hell are you doing Tsukasa?! get a hold of yourself. You're supposed to be the respectful manager, a true gentleman. Snap out of it!" Being slapped by his rationalism, Tsukasa leaned back on the bar switching it back off. His expression returned to the normal one as he brought back that signature princely smile of his. "I'm pleased to hear that my presence does not scare you. It would hurt deeply if my little lamb would be weary of me."

Esme wished he could just stop being so embarrassed and behave like a normal person. It would be wonderful if he could just smile at Tsukasa and say Don’t be silly! Of course you aren’t scary!” Maybe he even could have been one of those flirtatious people who would say… Oh, he wasn’t even sure what he would say! He could barely speak at all; how could he hope to ever be flirtatious? Unfortunately, in his stumbling for words, he had said a little too much. He had not meant to say especially; even saying that much would surely make anyone curious about the rest! And Tsukasa was no exception; he had his head tilted curiously as he repeated the word. Then he started coming closer!
Especially when you move in so close! Esme wanted to exclaim, but he just couldn’t. His eyes widened and his mouth opened and closed as though to speak, but no words came out. Maybe that was for the best, he thought. He really didn’t want to upset Tsukasa or make him look hurt again. And, a tiny little voice interjected, he really didn’t want Tsukasa to avoid being close to him either. It made him feel terribly abashed and his face was hot and red, but he still didn’t want it to stop. His heart was thumping so hard that he could hear the blood rushing in his ears and his breath caught in his chest. His hands shot up to cover his gaping mouth and the waiter was completely still, unsure of how even to react to this close proximity. It was different from before, as well. Esme couldn’t put his finger on it, but… Tsukasa was just so intense right then. He wasn’t even as close as he had come to Esme yesterday, but it was like his sheer force of personality had wrapped itself intimately around the waiter and held him entranced.
And then it was gone, releasing Esme with a gentle caress that finally allowed him to release his breath. Tsukasa’s expression softened, became less intense. Had he just imagined that it was different? No… no, his imagination was not that good. Esme leaned onto the counter, folding his arms under his chin, and took a deep breath to calm himself. He was starting to feel a little light-headed. He really needed to get a grip! Tsukasa was just a man… a handsome, charming, and sometimes intense man, but just a man. He shouldn’t be so out of sorts. But he was and Esme knew that just scolding himself wasn’t going to help. Because even after reminding himself that Tsukasa was just a man, it only took a glance up at that man’s face to make him feel shy and nervous again. He chewed his lower lip thoughtfully. He really had to say something, didn’t he? If he didn’t, then Tsukasa would think he was scared after all!
”I just… like you, is all…” Esme murmured so quietly it was almost as though he did not want Tsukasa to hear. And it was horribly embarrassing to say; he sounded like a preteen girl talking to her first crush! And, like all such confessions, it was vague and open to misinterpretation, but it was the best that Esme could manage. He just didn’t want Tsukasa to have the wrong idea any more. Especially not if it hurt him to think it.
There was seriously something wrong with him. Good thing he had mastered the art of deception so he ended up fooling Esme that there was nothing but a simple friendly conversation that just happened between them. First it was Zara and now it was Esme. He's starting to think that he had this fetish on hitting on innocent creatures. Although the former seem to have another side to her that surely attracted the man he was not sure what exactly triggered his actions towards his subordinate. And him acting all cute surely isn't helping.
Only one way to go with this. Pulling a stool, Tsukasa would take a sit right beside the waiter, resting his chin on his palm. His eyes still fixated on the shy young man. "You really are adorable, aren't you?" A vague answer deserves another. Pretending that he was on top of things was the best route he could take for now. There was an inkling that this was some kind of love confession but he didn't want for him to put his hopes up. Even he was still confused of his actions. Thus halting himself from saying nor doing anything that would put the both of the in a bad position. "Tell me, have you heard of the famous legend of the island of Soleil?" Its best to change the subject for now. He was getting to distracted by the exquisite creatures that the island has to offer that he easily gets side tracked from his original mission, to learn everything that there is to know about the island's treasure. Who knows, maybe Esme would be the key for him to discover the truth about the mysterious Nanoa fruit?

Edin continued to sip her drink as the two conversed. She was glad to see Esme happy. He could be like a younger brother to her if they got close enough. The music began pumping and the dancing crowd grew bigger. These two seemed occupied in each other's company. Perhaps she would go and dance for a bit.
She finished off her drink, nodded to Esme and walked to where the crowd was. The music began to move through her as she danced. People in the crowd were bumping and grinding. Some were doing things Edin didn't want to see. Until she felt hands reach around from the back grope her chest. She spun around to slap them, but they were already making their way through the crowd. She raised a hand but quickly dropped it. This isn't exactly the perfect place to use her ability if she wanted a normal life.
She closed her eyes and drowned out all the noise. She then opened her eyes and narrowed down the culprit. It was the guy from the restaurant. "You've got to be kidding me..." she said to herself before one of her favorite songs began to play. She couldn't resist the urge to dance..
