Eric and lawrence arrived at professor otashis room. Eric knocked on the door. "You've met him before. I swear we've all been in the same place at once." He said to lawrence. Lawrence shrugged.

Kiru opened the door, sticking his head out while spotting the two boys. "Can I help you two?" Peppermint barked and came running to the door, smelling Eric and wagging his small tail. "Is that Eric, honey?" Lerana yelled from the kitchen. "Your dog missed you! Him and Yuki were probably in seperable!"

Eric beamed when peppermint ran to him. He picked the dog up and immediately began codling him. "Awww, I miss you peppermint. Was mr otashi nice to you since I left you here? We have some fetch to catch up on," he said while walking away from the main conversation. Lawrence looked confused. He looked back to Kiru. " well that just happened. Bloody weird one that guy. Anyway, I... Well, we haven't seen your daughter around lately. Any idea where she is or what she's been up to? "

Peppermint barked, giving Eric's face a good licking. Kiru opened the door fully for the both of them. "Please, come in." His face has his trademark permanent scowl on, though Lerana seemed to be quite the opposite. "There you two are!" Lerana said, hugging both boys before inviting them in. "If you're hungry, dinner's almost ready. You two look like you could use a meal or three." She said, poking Eric and Lawrence's arms. Yuki was busy napping on the couch.

Lawrence tugged at his collar when kiru scowled at him. He lightened up when Lerana's radiant happiness. Eric perked up at the mention of food. "well i have been sleeping a lot today, haven't eaten much," he said happily walking in. Lawrence rubbed the back of his head. " Thank you for your generosity miss. I'm sure you made something great," Eric chuckled. "Relax man, they won't hurt you. They're wonderful people," Eric said setting the dog down and washing his hands.

Upon entering, Yuki woke up and then waved at Lawrence, smiling widely. He was beginning to get rather tall. "Not at all! I hope you boys like soup." Lerana said while heading back to the kitchen. "Namine's sick, so I decided we all should have some." "So what have you two been doing?" Kiru asked while crossing his arms. He sat down next to Yuki and crossed his legs.

Lawrence smiled and sat down next to Eric after washing his hands. it had been so long since he had seen someone so happy as a child. He looked to Kiru. " Since the last attack I've been mainly looking over the books for classes. The schedules here are kind of relaxed, no offense to the faculty, so I have plenty of time to just sit in my dorm with bugger all to do,' he said. Eric shrugged. "I've been nursing a couple wounds I got in the original invasion, not the ballroom invasion, mostly by sleeping like a log. I feel terrible for not doing anything for long, but it can't be helped i suppose." he said.

"True. I haven't been to class in a while or so. Jaster's out doing things." Kiru leaned back while Yuki climbed onto his lap, beginning to pull on his long hair. Peppermint was playing in Erc's hands. Lerana brought out the soup to everyone, leaving a bowl in the kitchen. "It's owonderful to see you two again!"

Eric smiled at Peppermint. "Silly puppy, now i'll have to wash my hands again. Excuse me, Mister and Misses Otashi," He said getting up from his seat. Lawrence nodded to Kiru." The kid probably keeps you busy enough. Peacetime is great for families. No fear, only fun to be had. At least for some people," he said taking a spoonful of soup.

"The bathroom is down the hall, second door on the right." Kiru said while looking to Lawrence. "It is. Shame when you're made for battle. You fight for peace by destroying the one thing you thrive on most." He said before taking a spoonful of soup. Namine groaned, waking up as she walked out to the front room in a zombie like lurch. Her hair was in a mess, her eyes red, having been sick for a while. She took her soup and sat in the kitchen, eating alone. "How're you feeling, Nami?" Lerana caled and went to her daughter. "Okay." Namine answered in a whisper like tone. "Still sick..." Yuki made his way to Lawrence, recognizing him. He seemed very shy, only really staring at him.

"Thank you sir," Eric said walking toward the bathroom. Lawrence shrugged. " I agree with you. Unfortunately, it is a necessary evil so long as evil still lingers anywhere," he looked to yuki and smiled.

"He's a bit shy, but I think he remembers you." Kiru said before going to down more of his soup. "So true. Never a peaceful moment." Yuki blushed and then sat down next to Lawrence, looking into the kitchen.

Eric returned and began eating his soup. Lawrence nodded. " i remember him as a baby. It's nice to see how he's grown," he said. He resisted his sudden urge to ask if Kiru was going to train the child. I don't want him going through what we did. besides, this place doesn't have civilians in need of protection. Everyone here is more than capable of defending this place. he thought. Eric looked at Namine in his peripheral vision as he ate. Must be some sickness. I hope it doesn't spread easily. I may be taking a huge risk here, but whatever. If I to be cooped up sick away from home, i'd be fine being stuck here, he thought.

"Hi Lah." Yuki said. "Yuki! Eat your dinner, dear!" Lerana said as the child went back beside his father and began eating. Namine finished her soup and walked back to her room before coming across the group, finally noticing Eric as she smiled weakly. "H-Hey." She said weakly before going on her way. "It's odd. Ever since the invasion, she's been quite ill. I'm surprised she's been able to keep this meal down." Kiru said as Namine took a detour into the bathroom and made quite disgusting noises into the toilet. "We've tried everything, and nobody's really been able to help."

Lawrence raised an eyebrow. " She's been sick for months and you haven't taken her to a hospital? Or am I just really bad at keeping time? Either way, if her body isn't taking care of this on its own, we'll probably have to intervene with some sort of medicine," Eric looked up from his soup. "You're calling in Yogtz aren't you?" Lawrence looked down and sighed. " No, i was going to check the alchemy books to see if anything could help and THEN call Yogtz," "He can read those things twice as well as either of us can. You might as well save yourself some time and call him in now. Time is of the essence now," Eric said. Lawrence growled. " Ye of little faith, we shall not hinder our dear friend Yogtz until completely necessary," Eric shrugged and went back to his soup.
