Minda sighed. "I know I will never see him again... But he will always hold a special place..." She trailed off. How could she have told him about this? She had never told anyone. "Galen... just forget it..."

Zant rushed forward to catch her, he wiped the tears from her cheek. She looked so pale and it appeared as if she had lost a lot of weight since he had taken control of the crystal. Her skin was stretched tight over her face, and her eyes looked sunken giving her a more evil appearance. He lifted her, carried her to the bed, and gently laid her down. She started shivering and tossing around as if tormented by some inner battle. A feeling of fear washed over Zant..What have I done to her? She seems to be slowly changing into pure evil even when she is not under my orders.. He turned away from her, and signaled Duo to follow him out of the room. Leading the way, Zant took Duo into the battle planning room and took a map off the shelf next to the door. He rolled it out onto the desk, it was a map of Hyrule Castle. There were notes and lines drawn all over it outlining the plan to take over the castle "Duo, now's the time for the fun part." He grinned evilly as he went over the plan with Duo.
Link jumped back when he saw Mikau's fins start to change. Seeing that they had morphed into something sword like he let out a whistle, "Sorry for underestimating you, Mikau. It would be a pleasure to have you travel with us." He then turned to look at them all, he felt fairly confident that they would all make it through the journey. "Shall we be off?"

Duo glanced back at Cielene she looked... sickly. He followed Zant and listened to him. "Hmm... Seems like you don't like these people. No survivors except for the princess? That is pretty harsh." He crossed his arms remembering the locations. "Should I wait for you or begin now?"
Cielene thrashed back and forth. Her eyes flew open as she stared at the cieling. She turned her head to the door. "So I am to become his puppet.... Jesse... I should have listened to you... I can feel it.. he is going to make me hurt people.." She sobbed to herself. She looked to the balcony. "But the crystal will become powerless if its vessel is destroyed. I can cause great good... or great destruction. I will not let it fall into the wrong hands." She got up off the bed slowly, her bod still weak. She moved toward the balcony and opened the doors. After making her way to the railing, she looked down. She didn't know what it was, but it looked like tar bubbling below. It seemed they were very high off the groud. She climbed on top of the railing, using the wall as support. She closed her eyes. "Jesse forgive me... But... I cannot let innocent people get harmed by the crystal's power. I.... love you... my dear brother." She felt the wind rustle her dress, her blonde hair flying about her. I can do this... It is not for me... but for everyone's sake. She took a deep breathe and began to lean forward slightly.
Jesse simply nodded. "Let us hurry. I cannot stand the thought of her being with him longer than she has to."

(Heh, they didn't actually morph, they just grew larger and became sharp. Sorry for the confusion.)
Mikau nods in acknowledgment to Link's compliment to him. “I thank you.” He says shortly. Then he looks towards the others. He was waiting as well for there answer. He was already set to go.

"Now of course! I would simply die if I had to wait any longer for my plan to be put into action!" Zant brought his fist down onto the desk, "Make haste!" A feeling of desperation flashed through his mind, and for a moment he felt as if he was perched atop some sort of railing about to fall. Before the vision had ended Zant had jumped up and started running to the room in which he had left Cielene. He bust through the door, just as she began to fall "No! Stop!" He yelled, with his hand outstretched as he lunged forward to try and stop her. He was too late she was headed to the shadow holes far below. Angry tears filled his eyes, he could feel the power of the crystal begin to waver. Realizing that he still had time, Zant composed himself and focused all of his energy into stopping Cielene's descent and warping her back into the room.
Link nodded at the group, and lead the way out of the tavern. Opening the door he felt a chilly wind wash over him, as if signaling that something was not quite right. The thought was interrupted when a large, fluffy, white cat run up to him and started purring. He knelt down and patted the cat on the head, scratching its ears, "Nice to see you again, Louise." Telma called out for the cat and she ran off. Link stood up and wiped his pants off, "I'm assuming you all have a way to get around besides walking?"

Cielene closed her eyes. "It is finished!" She whispered. However right before she should have hit the shadow below, she felt different. She blinked as she fell in Zant's arms. She shook her head, fresh tears streaming down her face. "No! It isn't supposed to go this way! I.. I won't be your slave!" She thrashed her arms trying to push herself away from him.
Duo snickered. "Whatever you say, Zant... But remember. You have total control over her... I am hired.." He slid through the shadows and appeared inside the gate of Hyrule castle. Some guards started running toward him. "Such a waste..." He sighed as he pulled his scythe from the shadows. He easily cut down the soldiers, not even breaking his walking pace. He twirled the scythe above his head then smashed the bottom into the grown. Black magic seeped into the earth. "Rise my friends... and feast on their souls!" Hands poked through the dirt followed by the rest of skeleton warriors. The creatures trotted off destroying every person living in their sight. Dual sighed as he climbed the stairs into the tower. "Princess..... I'm coming to get you..." He laughed, his voice echoing with sounds of screams from the people getting slaughtered below him. He approached the doors and took breath. "Now now.. I don't want to hurt you... So let us make this quick. If you come willing I shall stop the killing... but if you-" He stopped when he saw that the room was completely empty. "Damn it! Where the Hell is she?"
Jesse smiled. "I have a horse right here... though I'm afraid she can't carry more than me and my armor." He walked beside Link and exited through the west gate. He smiled, seeing his horse sitting there. He mounted his stallion and looked to the others.

Zant held on tight to Cielene. "Calm Down!" He growled, tightening his grip on her until he felt her relax. "I have no need of you as a slave! I've already got a henchman that will do whatever I say and not think twice about it! I just need you to sit tight while I simply borrow your crystal. It shall be returned when I am done taking back what is rightfully mine." Zant loosened his grip on Cielene, he looked deep into her teary eyes. The small bit of good left behind from when the light of Cielene flooded from the crystal into his body grew a little when he saw how he had pained her. "Trust me, I would never think of using you to do what your heart is set against." He said softly as he smoothed her tousled hair.

Cielene looked away from him, her grey eyes worried. "I... just don't want to hurt people... The power of the crystal frightens me... I cannot control my actions... I don't want to turn into a heartless person who lives to slaughter innocent people..." She closed her eyes, remembering how she had just done that when she was younger. The King of the Dark Moon, Kurogane, had used her to do that to her own parents and people. She didn't even realize it, but her hand tightened around his cloak. She opened her eyes as fresh tears began falling. "I... don't want to repeat the past..."
Duo cursed as he thrashed about the room looking for signs of the princess. "Damn it.... Princesses are supposed to stay put... I have to find her!" He ran down the steps quickly while searching the shadows of the castle with his mind.

Zelda nodded, following next to Jesse. "Don't worry, we'll find your sister. But Midna should be able to help us more than anybody against Zant." Zelda said, almost cheerfully. Yes, if anyone could help him save his sister, it would be Midna. She remembered when Midna and Link saved her from Ganondorf with the Fused Shadow. She even sacrificed herself for the two. She turned her head away. She didn't want to remember those times. The past was the past, and not only that but Ganondorf is dead. Her land was a peace, for a while. She looked over seeing Jesse mount his horse and smacked her forehead. "I forgot Jem in my stables! I'll be right back! Don't leave without me." She quickly said, before anyone could stop her, she turned rushing off towards the royal stables. She had her hood over her head. But when she approached the castle, gasping and the dead and injured shoulders. She pulled out her bow and sniped the skeleton soldiers, destroying them with one hit of her light arrows. She rushed over helping those who were injured quickly. She didn't have time to help them now. She rushed towards the stables a white horse whinnied happily looking at her. She wore royal saddle but she decided to use a plain on that leaned off to the side. She saddled her and harnessed her and led her outside, avoiding the sight of the civilians heading towards the Castle screaming. "Let's go quickly..." Zelda said, keeping her hood up, Jem nudging her happily.
Riuny just looked at the horses and sighed, shaking her head. She just started into a small white dog with long white ears, and her bushy white tail. "Let's go... I can sense that... it's a good thing Zelda left when she did...." Riuny said, rushing out of the town, seeing Zelda mount Jem and head after her.

Link pulled out his horse call and blew into it, playing Epona's song. Shortly after Epona was galloping towards him, she stopped short of Link and reared up neighing happily. Link grabbed her reins, pulling on them to make her settle before climbing onto the saddle. Just as he did Zelda flew past him, "Goodness..", he muttered to himself wondering what caused her to be so hasty. "Well let's go, Epona.", he patted her and they took off following close behind Zelda and Ruiny.
"Don't cry Cielene." Zant saw more tears falling down her cheeks. It was odd, many had cried tears of great sorrow just as he was about to kill them and those tears had not fazed him at all, but seeing Cielene cry ripped at his heart. He almost wanted to start crying himself, instead he just hugged her tightly while he whispered soothingly in her ear," You are too perfectly pure and innocent for me to even dream of spoiling you in such a way. Worry not, if I am to do evil then it will be me or someone equally as evil that will carry out the task." He then loosened his grip so that he could look Cielene in the eyes. For a moment he was mesmerized, the deep blue of her eyes swallowed him up like two potent whirlpools. He stammered, "I-I--I", the words were lost to him. In a moment of passion he leaned down and softly kissed her on the lips, pulling away quickly just as he realized what he had done.

Galen sat there, not knowing what to say. Here, Midna had just told him one of her darkest secrets, the reason she was so unhappy lately, and he was speechless. After a few minutes of silence, he finally decided what to say. "Midna, I don't want to force you into anything you don't want to do. You don't have to marry me." With that, he took off the ring on his finger, laid it on the bed, which had just been his room until the marriage, and left the room, starting for the castle's main entrance so he could go back to his house before he moved into the castle. His stuff had stayed at his house, and he just went home.

Minda shook her head and picked up the ring. "Galen...." She whispered as she inspected the ring. She closed her eyes and appeared right before Galen in the middle of the street. "I have already made a decision. I cannot go back on it. And neither can you. The wedding remains as planned. In three days time." She picked up his hand and shoved the ring back on. She held his hand for a moment then dropped it. "Alright?"
Cielene closed her eyes, a new feeling bouncing around in her chest. She blinked more amazed at her reaction. What... was that? I couldn't move... is it the power of the crystal? She tried to say something, but the words disappeared from her mind. "Zant...." She whispered, her deep blue eyes unwavering. Her heart was racing in her chest. She wondered if Zant could hear it. But then another thought stuck her. Was it fear? or something else? She brought her hand to her lips that tingled where he had kissed her. Her cheeks were slightly pink against her pale complexion. She then touched his cheek gently.
Duo cursed as he searched every room by shadows. However he stopped when he felt some of his minions explode with light energy. He appeared where they had once been. Their ash still smoked as he looked at them. "You have served your purpose... rest now." He then turned, looking around. There was a soldier gasping for help. He reached out toward Duo in desperation. The Shadow master just laughed before he broke the man's neck with a kick of his foot. "I wonder who shot those arrows... Could it have been her?"
Jesse smirked as he saw Zelda ride past. He kicked his onward following in persuit. However, his thoughts kept drifting back to his sister. There wasn't much destruction he could tell of, so perhaps she was safe. For now...

Zelda looked back over at the castle, her long pointed ears twitching. Who would have attacked the castle? Was it Zant? She knew like Midna he could walk among the world of light, but why would he attack the castle? She didn't think he would show up himself. So... that meant that whoever attacked the castle, was a minion to Zant... but I didn't see any Shadow beasts... She thought to herself, riding Jem towards the lake. Riuny leapt into her arms when the little dog got tired of running. Zelda held her close. It's a good thing I left my room when I did... whoever attacked the castle... it's a possibility... Zant... he might need me... She thought.

Duo cursed. He checked the stable and saw that one of the horses was missing; it had been there earlier. He looked back out to his minions. "Kill everyone in sight then rest until I need you again." He waved his hand as a black mist appeared over the castle. The mist created an illusion. Whoever looked at the castle would see it completely normal despite the fact that every living soul had been murdered. He walked out of the castle gates and snapped his fingers. His peasant clothes appear on him, his tattoos and chains disappearing. He saw a man running by. "Excuse me sir, but if I could-" However he got cut to by the man's curt reply. "You can not delay justice ONWARD TO MAIL!" Duo just stepped aside and stared. "And people say I am weird..." He shrugged his shoulders.
