Do the doors even know what's behind them? I thought I had this one figured out, but I guess I don't. @_@

I've heard another version of this riddle and the answer is to ask each one which one leads to safety and through some complicated logic that I can't recall at the moment you can figure out which is the liar by their responses

While walking across a bridge I saw a boat full of people. Yet on the boat there wasn't a single person. Why?
Pronounced as one letter, And written with three, Two letters there are, And two only in me. I'm double, I'm single, I'm black, blue, and gray, I'm read from both ends, And the same either way. What am I?
What can you hold without ever touching or using your hands?

The people were in the boat instead of on the boat.
Is it an eye?
And for the last one, it could have many answers. You can hold a job, hold on to hope, hold a party, etc.

As for the "what can you hold without touching or using your hands," could it be "your tongue" (not in the literal sense, but in the sense of not saying anything stupid)? Or maybe a thought (e.g. "Hold that thought!")?

Oh, and in the boat riddle, my guess is "All of the passengers were married." It's probably wrong, but there's my two cents. blaugh
