((Actually, yes, I was thinking that was a kind of ending post for that particular event. I guess I'll start this one... lol))
And it was off to Cavern Hole, the agreed meeting place for those members of Redwall who always had a part in what was going on, and would at times meet there unannounced after some exciting event. Turan was standing, quiet.... a more peaceful quiet than others had become used to over the past several day. The easiest way to describe his current mood would probably be... content.
There was a large half-circle of comfortable chairs that had been brought about by the fireplace, which was now alight with crackling flames to ward off the chill of the late hour. Tannia sat in one of the chairs, lazing and glancing around at the others in the room. She didn't appear at all tired yet, just relaxed. Seeing Tannia in a relaxed state had become a refreshing change as well.
Eula was an entirely different story. She sat sideways in one of the large plush armchairs, a leg hanging over the side and her head lolled against the side. She was still awake, only barely. It had still only been just that day that she had returned to Redwall and her whole body was in a complete state of exhaustion. She was fighting to stay conscious, but her eyelids were becoming heavier and heavier. She was among those that would come to these meetings, invited or not; it was generally accepted that it was impossible to keep her out anyway.

Uncharacteristically enough, Donato had come to this meeting as well. He figured he had been involved enough in recent events that he should stick around for the denouement. He seemed to have a foot in both camps. He was peacefully calm - being home was enough to make him happy in spite of anything after a while. That, or he was merely giving off the appearance of calm because he was half-dozing, waiting for the meeting to begin.
((Heehee. Denouement.))

::Asides them; it seemed only Kusaa and Jasmine came; Whisper and Gem had went away upwards into the tower heights; not to be seen coming down until later; for they had much, much to catch up on::
::Kusaa struggled to stay up in her own chair, it seemed her wings weren't built for such positions as this; and she was a right sight, trying to rearrange herself every other second, her monotonous look letting off not a hint of discomfort, but instead making her look even more funny as she'd sit a second, paused, look down curiously and start the cycle all over again::
::Jasmine sighed as she warmed her paws near the fire...::
::They had ANOTHER with them; but Faith didn't count, asleep as she sat there in Ayla's old place... it seemed somewhat fitting to keep her close...::
::Jasmine finally raised her paws, smiling just a little::
So... all our numbers from Salamandastron returned safely... We have been spared the matter of another war with the vermin outside our walls; and we're finally a fox shorter again...
Is there really that much to be discussed?

"Don't think so," Eula replied in a drowzy voice. She might as well have been dead on that chair, sprawled on it as she was. She even spoke now with her eyes closed. "It's just nice and quiet down here. All the Redwallers are so eager to know about everything that they forget we actually need sleep too."
She opened her eyes to glance around at the others, but she squinted, turning her tired eyes away from the fire. "I hope everything just stays the way it is now. For a change."
"So I assume you didn't run into more vermin threats or news on your way back?" Turan asked, more joking than anything.
"No... everything seems to be order. And I get to stay here," she added with a pleased note that belied her fatigue. "As long as my mother doesn't send out a squad of Long Patrol hares to drag me back," she added jokingly. There was a pause from her, then she groaned. "Oh I hope she doesn't do that."
Tannia remained quiet and relaxed. It was probaby a relief to the others that now she and Kusaa could be in the same room without Tannia being on constant edge. True, she never made the effort to speak with the bat, but atleast they could handle being in the same room.
Eula turned and looked over at Jasmine by the fire through slitted eyes, trying to fight off the glow of the flames. "Oh... what did you think of Ather? He was interested in apprenticing you."

::At the mention of Ather's name; Jasmine visibly grimaced as she stood before the fire... trying to stall for a moment or two longer that she could hold it back before she'd have to announce it to all of them there... but found no way she could after that expression on her face for all to see, looking back slowly::
Ather may stay if he so wishes under me... but... he... ::She slowed her words as she backed up to sit down in a chair of her own::
::Sighing, she continued as she fell into one:: ...his wounds from Salamandastron weren't properly treated... probably rushed, mistakenly thought it was a simple wound...
...I spent the best part of the day trying to put it back together... and I don't know whether or not he'll be able to keep the arm... it will be many days if not weeks before he regains his strength and movement in it even if I HAVE been susccessful...

Eula turned, pushing herself to a full sitting position as she looked over at Jasmine, worried. She winced as she recalled how the injury had occurred. No, most certainly not a simple wound.
"Does he know? I mean, is he o-... wait. How's Terra?" She asked hurriedly. Understandably, she'd taken a personal interest in the siblings' relationship. Afterall, she had been the first to know about them both being alive. She still hadn't confessed to Ather her prior knowledge of it, and hoped that Donato would remain quiet on it as well.

...He's a healer himself Eula... he couldn't treat himself very well... and he knows what to expect...
Terra... she's watching over him just now... he'll be up and about fine...
::She kept staring into the fire:: We can do nothing but prey the best will help him here... what he has is nothing fatal... but it is certainly not acceptable to let the arm fall off by itself...
::She stopped herself, shuddering inwardly, those words had not came from her mind as they were imagined... she herself was tired from her own hard work, exhausted nearly as she sat back there::
Worst comes to worst, he loses his arm... but... if Fenya showed us one thing at least... one can live a full life even with a limb missing...
...Very much so... ::If only the fox were here to see this... the first; and only compliment Jasmine had gave the one armed swordstress in all the time since she had came to this abbey::

Eula nodded vaguely, falling silent for several moments. Eventually, she pushed herself up at out of her seat, stretching her arms behind her head. "I'm off to bed. Don't be surprised if I'm not up at sunrise," she said with a yawn. She turned and walked blearily up the steps, disappearing up the dark staircase.
"That's us done with all of this then, I suppose? We can start letting everything get back to normal now. What's to be done next?"
Tannia's reply came quickly and unexpectedly. "Well there's still the-" When the eyes of the others had landed on her, she stopped, blinking. "Uh..." she looked down, clearing her throat and suddenly seeming interested in a loose thread on her clothing. "Actually, I think I'm ready to go to sleep, too," she said, changing the subject. "So I'll see everyone in the morning, then." And she stood up out of her chair as well.

::Kusaa remained silent, apparantly waiting anyone who would signal her to go, and most likely she would be the last one left whenever everyone else had decided to go::
::Jasmine however, looked to Turan, smiling halfway:: Well... it seems like it ends on a whimper rather than a bang... but I wouldn't complain... not for a second... ::Up she got with a sigh, seemingly ready to leave herself:: Perhaps now we can get back to normal routines and life... WITHOUT any more interruptions...
Just get up, abbey chores to direct and oversee... lessons for Faith and infirmary to take care of - and all patients within...
A nice, normal routine...
Ya know we needa feast'an'all!
Yes, well- ::Jasmine blinked; and whirled round as she saw Faith stirring, the little cub raising a bandage mitten paw to wipe at her sleepy face, while she also tried to pull the covers round a little::
::Jasmine seemed stunned for a minute at the fact Faith woke up; she hardly ever woke up being a heavy sleeper... had she been listening the whole time?::
::Faith took the opportunity to keep speaking, a wide smile managing against her restricted face, looking to Turan:: We haveta celebreak, right? Alla bad beasts'a gone... needa havva greak big feas' anall!!!
::Faith beamed; when Kusaa spoke up::
I believe our abbess has made her first decision. ::And with Jasmine's decided loss of brain control over her mouth, she looked to Turan:: I think it's a brilliant idea: You?

Turan watched Tannia leave, and turned back to Jasmine as she spoke, giving a little shrug as he did so. He turned to the little fox as she spoke up. A smile tugged on his features, looking over at the small creature. He walked over and set himself on the arm of Faith's chair, reaching down to gently ruffle her headfur. "I think that is a superb idea," he agreed, looking over at the others, amused by Jasmine's sudden loss of speech.
He tilted his head a bit, nodding over at the deserted staircase. "If I may, I believe that's along the lines of what Tannia almost said." Of course, Turan would know exactly what it was she wanted to say. He was surprised it wasn't obvious when she had lowered her eyes so bashfully.
"I believe a celebration would be perfectly in order... bring back up the spirits of the Redwallers."

::If they knew; they really weren't letting on, but Faith giggled away at having her head ruffled; trying to stop him, but her paws not quite reaching or halting anything as she batted helplessly for a moment or two until he was finished... headfur... this had been the first time in so long it had shown...::
::Jasmine had for the longest time kept Faith's entire head bandaged; perhaps it was a good sign, that she indeed was finally starting to heal after all her ordeals::
Yes... well... ::Jasmine repeated herself again, clearing her throat finally, seeming to struggle past those words, until she eventually found something to cling onto::
I agree, it's a great idea... ::Jasmine finally bowed ceremoniously before the little one:: We'll get all abbeybeasts a-working on it...
Only AFTER some dibbun's bed time...
::Faith let out a sad moan:: Whassa poinna bein' abbess iffa ya gorra goa bed...
Well, you may be my Mother Abbess, but I'm still your mother, sunshine...
::She looked to Turan:: We'd best be going to bed ourselves... it seems some naughty dibbun's been pretending to be asleep for a season or so it seems...
::Faith smiled bashfully as she was plucked up easily into Jasmine's arms; the two heading away up and off; back to the infirmary...::

((So, um, I suck?
Why have I been absent? Everytime I tell myself, "HEY IMMA GO POST YAAAY" i get sidetracked and do something else. I'm in my school's production. I have homework. Once again, I suck.
it's about 11 PM, and I really need to get to bed. I still have to read from my science book before I can even turn out my light, so I'm tired just thinking about it.
Will post tomorrow. Just tell me what exactly you need from, or maybe the general idea of what happened during my :COUGH: absence?
K guyz. I'm alive. I promise.
