I wore a white hat made of paper, tape, and staples for Halloween this year.
I wasn't suppose to be anything, but I pretended I was a reference that others didn't understand.
Ani, your Beetlejuice (or Beetlegeuse) sig is awesome.

You still haven't told me what you're studying in college - like what courses, I mean. 3nodding

Course? Meh. I'm in a studio and field production course as well as visual journalism class. Cool stuff.

Thanks ani! If only other people thought that way... sweatdrop
Sounds like an awsome costume, Launcher, whatever it is. domokun
I'm getting very angry at my college. I think I've ultimately decided I want to major in music (over business), but if I am to do so, they won't offer the classes I need to start out with for another year. Plus, I'm already done with my lower-division GE, so I have no classes to take. Bah, crazy college with their crazy scheduling....

Hee hee! I remember the white paper hat, in fact, there it is sitting in my garbage! Hi, paper hat!
I don't know if I should find this ironic or not, but just two days ago I finally got up the nerve to declare a major for myself, and with the help of the Prof. Chapman, I up and became a Chemistry major. So here I am, at three in the morning, toiling away at a pile of work that is due tomorrow-- but wait! This isn't chemistry, this isn't chemistry at all! I'm sitting here writing three religion essays. What the hell is that? Eh, ah well.
Talk gossip, Buddha! Touch a weapon, Brahma! Eat some pork, Moses! Forget to pray, Muhammad! Go to hell, Jesus!
Oh, why do my eyes burn so badly?

surprised A fine lot of students the three of you are! Launcher and Baughb's majors don't surprise me, but I don't know SaferSaturnX quite as well. (Baughb, I know a bit about you from your friends.) SaferSaturnX, I have a girlfriend who did a very successful job being a musician & running a music school out of her house while raising an autistic child by herself. She was my neighbor for six years. Being a good business person can help a musician a lot! You can manage as well as play in a band. If you're a purist you'll know how to budget to make things work while you're doing your "apprenticeship" in a small symphony/orchestra. Eh, that's just some thoughts I had. I decided not to go proffessional as a musician because all my teachers taught and played in less than good assembles and squeaked by and I studied conservatory piano with the pupil of a pupil of Chopin's.

Well, basically, I know I don't want to do performance because I'm simply not that great at it. I actually really only got back into the piano a little less than a year ago, after having not played it for years. But I'd like to do some composition. Maybe. I don't even know anymore. I'd double major, but that take forever. All I know is that no matter what it takes, I'm going to work in the video game industry. I guess I'll just figure it out from there.
eek Nice claim to fame though, like tracing lineage to Chopin, except with teaching.

It is kind of cool that lineage to Chopin. My prof was at the conservatory and had fled Eastern Europe in WW II. Sounds like you have plenty going for you and you'll have many options, SaferSaturnX. 3nodding
One of my best friend's son's at Julliard right now in composition. His parents and we were all assistant profs together. The bummer is that he was diagnosed with MS a year or so before graduating high school. I've learned a lot about how early detection and treatment have come since I was college aged. He gets regular Interfuron to take special delivered in dry ice to his dorm. He will have three pieces in the final recital for composition this year at Julliard, his first year there.

The Wii is coming out in a week! And I have a not-so-shady (almost foolproof) plan to get a free* one!
*may not necessarily be free
I'm planning on buying a PS3 and selling it on ebay. I've hyperanalyzed almost every detail of my plan, and it looks like it might actually work. I'm going to go to either Target or Circuit City (I think Circuit City may have more units in stock, but Target has a voucher system) wednsday night, meaning I'm going to be waiting over 24 hours gonk . But it'll be worth it if I sell it for even $1000 (I'm hoping I can get over $1500 though). Once I do that, I'll rush immediately over to the Wii line, and do the same thing. I'll probably sell the PS3 around the first week of December, so that I might get more money from christmas shoppers twisted .
But I'm keeping my Wii. I still feel sorry to Nintendo for never having owned a gamecube. As VG Cats would put it, I'm probably in a state of Battered Gamer's Syndrome. Even if Nintendo hurts me sometimes, I'll stay with it. Why? Because they're Nintendo.

And I offended an alien and am therefore awesome.
