I dislike the item in her left hand, the gold jewel thingy. It adds to the avi but the theme seems red and black not black and gold. Its subtly out of place and i dont like when things dont fit, at all

If you don't want to critique someone, then don't. Just check the thread again later when, hopefully, someone else has posted.
Since your current avatar is incomplete, I'll go ahead and critique the goal, yes? I think that is exceptionally well balanced and put together, but the blue of that Fremere's pose that you've chosen really sticks out. A lot. Also, it would be nice to bring out the purple of your shirt a little. Maybe an accessory or two?

Anyway, as for you, I like it, but something seems off. I really can't place my finger on it, though...Perhaps the leg area/bottom half needs a bit more black? I'm really not sure.
