I'll probably calmly approach them and ask them if they were okay and if they needed me to call anyone for them.

If it wasn't too badly, like just the outer layer burned I'd carefully slice off the outer layer then crumb coat it and ice it. If it was burned really bad like all the way through I'd start over.
What would you do if you found an old time capsule behind one of your houses walls while renovating?

Be super friendly and hope it came back, if I did not figure it out after a bit, I would politely let them know that somehow their name has slipped my mind and would they tell me again. What would you do, if you were in the darkness, and thought your BF/GF was coming towards you, so you excitedly got up and ran to meet them and just as you were about to throw your arms around them you realized you didn't know them at all!!
