Yarg, I can't believe I missed the woeful moo of Bessie. The shame is all consuming. Blearg.
Anyhow, I've always been a sucker for spicy foods, but I've never had the stomache for 'em. I dun't think I've tried spicy jerky though. To the FoodHut!

Steve, "The Crocodile Hunter" is dead. Damn, I grew up watching his show.. He was killed by a stingray off the coast of Australia...

I gotta say this is hardly a huge surprise. Whether you liked the guy or not.
Did anyone expect a man who PROVOKES dangerous animals for a living to not have an untimely death at the hands of a dangerous animal?
Anyhow, to those who liked him, I'm sure you'll miss him...

I agree Launcher, but it still seems wierd, since I grew up watching his TV shows.

No sympathy here, either, Anuminus. xp As a field biologists (a biologist who works largely out doors in "natural" habitats and with wild animals), we really didn't like the guys who made sport of teasing wild animals for a living. I don't know now a days, but we used to have visitors to one of the Nature Reserves I worked and lived at for several years get killed or maimed about one person a year for trying to pull off a stunt they'd seen on one of those shows.

lol @ Steve Irwin. I don't mean to poke fun at the dead or anything, but with a job like that, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
On a completely different side note, I'm having a heck of a time getting my lisence. I had my first exam scheduled for 11:30 about a week ago, and when I went in and was about to take the test, I discovered that the brake light was out, and they wouldn't let me take the test. So I had it fixed and went back the same day. Then, right before I took the test the second time, the car wouldn't start. We had to wait over two hours before my dad, my mom, and finally a tow truck came gonk . Turns out the battery had to be replaced. So the next day I went in again for a walk-in, and had to wait for a few hours for a test to open up. When it did, I got a total b***h for an instructor scream . She first got mad when I didn't know where the defroster was (it's almost 100 degrees over here), and then for going 20 in a 25.
I took a second test at Escondido today, which is supposedly a nicer DMV. It is nicer, I'll give it that, but I didn't know the roads as well, and ended up failing that test as well sweatdrop . Now I have one chance left to get my lisence before I have to do everything over again.

So I'm back up in college, which is fun, but I'm less than broke until my federal aid check comes in, so I have to get a loan from my parents to buy books. crying
Also, I saw the funniest/stupidest movie the other day. I watched it simply because of the title, "Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter". It looked like it was made in canada in the early 90s. It was done so badly (purposely, I hope), that I just couldn't stop laughing. It almost seemed like a cheap 70s porno half the movie (but don't worry, I don't know the exact rating, but it seemed like PG-13 material to me).

Aye, university begins for Launcher and I this coming monday, and I am at once dreading the massive work-load and thrilled at the prospect of seeing friends and professors once again. In the meantime I've been rearranging my living space as I had to condense all my furniture so that the area could be sprayed fer spiders. Part of me feels ashamed that I need to have another man rid my home of pests, but in my rebuttal some of them buggers were black widows. I am not okay with extreme bodily inconveniences. Like death.

For once in my life I'm actually getting homework done. It's a very slow and painful change in my life, but I think that by the end of this semester, I may finally have decent study habits.

This is my second term at the university, although I am still undeclared. For the most part I'm involved in the sciences so I'll no doubt pick a major like chemistry or the like. This is the busiest I've ever been concerning academia, due mostly to Organic Chemistry with help from World Religion and World Literature. All of my classes are fantastically interesting but they tend to suck the living essence right out of my body. I had the fun task of being conscious for three days with only eight collective hours of sleep, and although some live this way, it kills me. I almost vomited last Thursday before I realized that I was so tired I had forgotten to eat that day. Still, despite all the drawbacks, knowledge is the sweetest of nectars, as I often forget over summer vacation. Praise the weekends, the breaks in which we might study at our own leisure. What're you up to, AniMahler?

Well Ani, I'm at the SOU down here. I'm sure you know the place. Anyhow I'm majoring in video production. It's great.
Anyhow, how's school for you? Fully recovered from your surgery? Hope so.

Wow, you're really interested in languages, eh TeaParty? I never could seem to retain anything when I tried to learn another language... Oh well, I'll try again some time. Good luck with the tests and worksheets.
