The man did not let go, and instead went for the man's head with his blade, determined to bring him down no matter what.

The rook would find something surprising when the blade sunk into the counterpart's head. It stuck, but did not bleed. "Did you... really think that was going to work?" he said flatly. He made the blade heat up & start to warp.

The rook took this as a good time to retreat, and he kicked off from Arron, landing just beyond the excrement. He glared at Arron. "It's probably too late now. How your friend was fighting, it's probably already over. You'll have no one to save." he said.

Lyth pulled the sword from his head, the "wound" healing quickly. "We'll see about that." he said throwing the sword in the ground, "You're lucky I don't melt your face." With that statement the counterpart disintegrated back to the arena, allowing Arron to take back control. He made sure to be near Cherise.
The mechanic stumbled back to her, glaring. That incident had made him very distrustful of her. He was even more exhausted than he was before.

Cherise was not sitting however, but she was standing. Her, and the rest of the arena. They were all standing and cheering. "Yeah!! Go Talbot!!" Cherise cheered, then spotted Arron, "where have you been?! Talbot just got a few hits in on the King, and he's been hit so much himself, but he just won't stay down!"In the arena, then King and Talbot were both standing face to face. Talbot was quite bloody, but he was still standing, with his eyes trained on the King. The King was grinning widely. He had a small cut on his cheek, and his crown was a distance away on the arena ground. He was preparing for another attack.

At that moment, anger swelled up in the mechanic. "If-If you hadn't had been SO glued to the match you would have seen me get kidnapped at knife point & nearly killed by a rook & two pawns!" he snapped at the knight, "You said you'd help, but some help you are!" The young man was angry, exhausted & wanted a place to get clean. His anger made his stammer drop suddenly.

"Wow, my apologies for taking you out here in the first place instead of letting you stay in the dungeon." Cherise said back sarcastically, "Talbot's too good for you after all. I don't know why I ever shipped you." she added, focusing back on the match again. The King laughed as he ran at Talbot, grin still wide even as his attack was blocked. With each attack, his opponent got weaker, yet never gave up! It was amazing to him, and he couldn't help but laugh at how much fun he was having. After one last powerful blow not going through, the King noticed something, stabbed his weapon into the ground, and raised both hands to the crowd. "I said the winner would be the man left standing, but that's no longer necessary! I've never fought someone so utterly desrtoyed that's lasted so long even after they should have fallen. Look!" he motioned towards Talbot, "He's passed out on his feet, and still opposes me!"Sure enough, it was obvious, looking at Talbot now, that he wasn't conscious. His eyes were open, and his sword was still firmly in his hand, but he was completely knocked out.

Rolling his eyes & grumbling, Arron turned back to the match. He frowned before saying, "...D-Does this mean T-Talbot lost the match..?" He was hoping the technicality would help them, & was very worried.

Cherise just watched, ignoring Arron."Well everyone! What do you think? Would this powerful fighter be useful as a slave?" the King asked the crowd with a grin. The crowd boo'd, obviously against the idea. "What about a warrior? Shall I ask him to serve me as a fighter for the black kingdom?!" He asked next, this time meeting with a roar of applause and cheers. He laughed in response, then put both hands up to silence the audience. "My people! I've decided that this war has gone on long enough. We've clashed our blades with the blades of the white kingdom for far too long, and it's time we point our swords in other directions!" he announced. The crowd went silent to listen. "I've seen enough of the same battle fields. There are other causes our kingdoms can be fighting for. Other conquests we can reach. If the white kingdom agrees to this treaty,we will no longer be enemies. We will be rivals in victory!!" the crowd that was mumbling amongst themselves started to quietly converse, then clap, and finally, cheer.

The mechanic grinned & tried to make is way down to the knight. He ended up leaving Cherise behind.

The crowd was difficult to get through, and by the time it started to clear out, the King had already left the arena, and Talbot was being carried out by two soldiers, back to the room he'd first come from.

Seeing his friend being taken away, Arron went back the way he came. He was hoping to find his way back to the knight.

The path was fairly easy to manoeuvre through, but the door into the room they were in before was locked.

The mechanic knocked heavily on the door, hoping to be let in. He wondered why they had locked the door.

A knight answered the door, and it was one Arron had no met before. He raised an eyebrow at him, taking note of his eye colour. "What business do you have here?" he asked.
