Tes pushes his hands back., shaking her head. "No... you need that. You are not going to give up are you?" she demands. "That doesn't sound like you."

Lyssan nods in agreement. "So you used Luciel's seed. Odd, I thought you were the construct and he was in yer old body or what remained of it.... you know... iffin he's fully living enough for you to do that... It may be he's not mature enough yet. He acts older but he is still rather young, for a dragon."

Lyssan frowns at this. "No, that would be a weakness. Ye need to learn how to assimulate and rise above emotions. Only then will you have gone beyond them. The trick, Kero, is not to deny the emotion, but to accept it and move beyond it. Understand?"

Lyssan sighs and sits down beside him. "Emotional stability is important to any mage. But you voidic mages carry it a step too far. True it is vital that you do not let your emotions color your work. But to deny them is to attempt to work in a vacuum and that is one of the downfalls of your school of magic. It makes you inhuman, and that, especially now, is not something you need. You are sad, you need to grieve. Acknowledging your emotions will help you heal. If you shut it away, deny it's existence, someday that grief will come back to haunt you, most likely when you least need it to. Face it now and grow all the more stronger for it. I never saw you as a coward, Kero... You have always shown to me how brave you are, so be brave. Grieve with Tes, Let her know you care enough to accept her own grief, even as she accepts yours."

Lyssan gives him a hug then stands up. "You two stay here... I'll be right back. I want to tell Ame what you just told me, Kero. Is there anything you need? I can fetch it back with me on my return."

Lyssan sighs and looks away. "I cannnot speak for him. You know that. But even he plays by a certain set of rules, Kero. And one of them is the dead do not reproduce. I wish.... I wish it were otherwise... and mayhaps, with all that has been going on, those rules will bend. But I am not an oracle."

There's a cure for hysteria and Lyssan takes it. She steps forward and slaps him hard on the cheek. "Snap out of it. You are scaring Tes. As for rewards... who says having a child is the reward you need... I'm not saying you shouldn't have a child, Kero, but you are not alone in this fate. There are millions upon millions of people who cannot have children. Shall we go out and tell them all to throw a tantrum so they can get their way? Talk about a population boom... And if you are trying to impress your ability to raise a child on him... this isn't the way to do it."

It is a battle of wills, his over hers, as her eyes too begin to glow with a strange malevolent light. As fast as he sucks her energy away, she reabsorbs it, drawing his own force into her in a primal attempt to stay alive. For now it is a stand off, but how long this can go on remains to be seen. Tes edges for the door, then bolts and runs. This does not look good.
