Afterward, Ai has Hopian inject a tiny bit of his venom as well, not enough to fully wake her, but enough to make her gradually awaken, as though she's been taking a nap by the fire.
"I really hate all of ye having to do this." grumbles Ai softly before she begins to stir.
"Necessity makes odd bedfellows... Meaning one does what one needs to do, Salunia. We trust Estelle. She seems to be a nice lady, but there are people out there we do not trust... and we do not know who will listen to her when she speaks." sighs Hopian going to his daughter and carrying her back to Fortuny and the newly born cubs, so she can greet her brothers.
"So, what are their names to be?" asks Bez urging Ai to lie down and stop pacing fretfully.

The Opal headed one's name shall be Gemfire, after the great elemental of the Air. The Midnight one shall be named Noctus, after his Uncle.

The Midnight one shall be named Noctus, after his Uncle. **okay, I"m confused... I thought he had his daddy's coloring... wouldn't he be white then with midnight blue tips?** "Gem and Night... not bad names over all...." says Bez thoughtfully. "Though I don't quite get the night part... he looks more like a star than anything to me."

"A dark star.... his coloration is unique to be sure... as for Gem's opal... with so many brilliant colors swimming in it, do you have any idea what his element will be? It seems to be a toss up." laughs Ai shaking her head and resting against Bez's flank.

Ai nods thoughtfully. "Aye... that would be the common way of things, but nothing about his coloration seems common to me."
"He's a healer... of the mind.... as well as of the flesh..." says Shar without thinking. Then she blushes and looks down at her hands. "Sorry... but I can feel it and that opal will magnify him beyond all healer strengths I have ever seen... He blinds me to look at him."
Bez nods. "Opals magnify the traits of their users... either for the good or the bad... we all know that. But how can ye be so sure of the other?"
Shar shrugs. "Healing magic is different from other forms of magic. It comes from withint, can't you people feel him, even now...?"

Holy Vashintran Hellfire! And I thought my empathy was powerful, boosted by magic as it is! I'm to this kid what a candle is to a campfire...he's a Spirit Healer...able to heal mind and body with his magic!

Ai sighs with a shaky grin. "Thank heavens then, that his talent should fade to the background then in a few days.... you do not want to take him home to that mess until he's shielded from it. And I pity ye, Fortuny, he's going to be dragging home every injured animal he finds... to raise and heal... make sure yer dinner is fully dead er ye serve it to him. Or he's liable to have it cavorting about the dining room."

Bez sighs. "Take it outside boys, we have a new mother in here and she needs peace and quiet."
