but before averus can move ye hear shouting coming from the kitchen... a familiar voice truly irate.... what do ye mean there's no more milk... i had a pail chilling in the depths of the spring house.... go look again... yer blind and i know it...... how can i make the puddings for tomorrow without fresh milk....

averus nods, confused, but he does as he is asked to do, though it is obvious he would rather be anywhere than around his ma when she's angry..... he soon returns with his mother in tow.... she is out of sorts and completely frazzled... this better be important mage... i have to repost an entirely different menu for tomorrow and me staff is at their wits ends ... there's a thief on the grounds... someone's been raiding the springhouse... then she looks at him hard... what the hell happened to ye?

But I can tell you where the milk is...I took it...I did not realize that it was for puddings...it's in my room, still ice cold...there was ice on its surface when last I looked.

champhy shakes her mane angrily... didn't yer ma teach ye manners... had ye come to me i would have given ye milk... all ye had to do was ask... and iffin yer a kitten again... maybe someone ought to turn ye over their knee... to teach ye what others obviously haven't... call me a nag will ye... yer nothing but a spoiled brat who thinks he's entitled... well yer entitled to nothing around here, kitten or no... because ye refuse to respect those who work hard to take care and tend to yer needs...
then she spins about on her heels and stomps back to the kitchen...
hmmm... poor... very poor communication skills ye got there cat.... comes a familiar voice from behind you.... ye turn to see the stablemaster leaning against a tree, munching on an apple....

And as for someone turning me over their knee...I have lived my whole life without a parent...Jor is a great master...but he's not my mama...and never can be...that's why I jumped at the chance...*sniff*...the chance for Luciel to live with Paladine...he'd get a real father...You don't know how much I wish I could do the same...
I'd kill for a chance to have a mother again...that's why I'm crying...and you insult mine...then threaten me with something reserved for one...you don't know how deep that cut runs, Champhy...and you never can...

champhy turns and looks at him... her eyes are no longer angry but she is still quite stern... then i feel for you, sir mage, for yer life has been riddled with hardship, but i maintain that respect is given to those who give it, good day and with that she disappears leaving behind a small damp puddle...
the stable master sighs and gives a stretch... ye know cat, she has a point... ye can't go about demanding what ye don't give... iffin ye need any more milk old betsy's still in the stable... just stop by... but i don't think ye'll be getting any more out of her.... then he turns and walks away as well....

*Kero shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts...then lifts his nose at a familiar scent...he dashes off to find his brother...and try once again to kill him...just outside the orchard, he finds him...and loses him...for he teleports away, laughing, leaving behind one of his scales, and his blade...Kero takes both back to his room, thinking*
