Em sighs and rests his great head on his front feet. "It sounds so pretty when you put it that way... but all those years... wasted... literally. I was such a fool. I got myself all wrapped up in something I could not control... ensnared by a lie... and now find out... that not only was I ensnared by a lie, but my life, as it was, was a lie as well. It's a stupid thing to moan about. I'm actually grateful... but it's an odd feeling, Lucy... truly it is. All those times we fought... all that time you were sheltering me... what a sham..."

After Shia died, I wasn't too sure why I was still hanging on, except I had some dues to pay, things to set right. Couldn't much do it right away... Not sure if this is what I was supposed to do, play protector to a pair of conniving little mischief makers, but it's not a bad life. Still I keep feeling like I'm supposed to be doing something more. I just don't know what?"
He smiles warmly at Kero and laughs. "Maybe it was just to give you a home base to come back to. Someone to rag on."

Em chuckles softly then flinches as a bolt does indeed hit home close to his cave. "I might be an electric based beasty. But those things still scare me..." he grumbles shaking his head. "And you said Ari has a touch of weather working... she didn't call this in did she... being all upset and nervous about what has happened?"
