Bez smiles. "Nothing bad, kitten... nothing bad, but no one likes to be controlled, not even animals. And I controlled him for a time, to make certain you and everyone was fine... that's all."

The cat is not exactly comfortable on Bez's lap but he's beginning to give up. Hearing Salunia's voice call his name, he cracks an eye and blinks at her, then slowly let's it close again..

"Bez laughs. "See, he heard ye. This cat is smart, I tell ye... now if only I could teach him to fish..."

Bez chuckles. "I know... but he thinks they look so delicious.... probably because I told him they were. Tam may never forgive me for that one. Now he's determined to get one to see if he's right." He scratches the cat's ears and sighs. Looking up at Hopian and Salunia he shrugs, then freezes mid-move once more. "Ye'd think I'd learn by now.." he grumbles.

"How are ye doing, m'lady Fortuny? He should be back soon. I can feel him getting closer, he must be helping the Healer Shar carry her things."

Salunia sighs and goes back into the kitchen, complaining to kero that her mother has eyes int he back of her head.

Bez smiles. "A common complaint amongst children it seems." he says shaking his head, but he doesn't look too good, causing Hopian to tell him to go back to bed.

"Kero's up now... and it's probably fine to return. His wind may smell foul, but it blows off fairly easy.'

Bez nods. "I... I just might do that... when they get here, could ye ask Shar if she has any pain killers with her. This shoulder is throbbing something terrible. Funny when I was going about on all fours it didn't seem so bad... or is it just that I'm so blasted tired right now."

Bez stares at the puncture wound and blinks in confusion. "What the hell.... did... you... do... that... for...."

Hopian shakes his head. "Ye know... I now see why Tam gets a little testy with you and that stinger. Ye should ask first in situations like this... yer lucky he didn't take yer head off. And I think that's why Tam said to put the Tabasco on the table.... he knew ye were going to pour it on..."

Kerobian shrugs. "He's sedated and out of the way... and if ye had been feeling what I was feeling coming from him, ye'd know why I did it. He's definitely overdid it... probably should not have morphed... that is not always good for injuries ye know.... And I plan to do the same with Tam when he gets back. But only iffin ye think there's time, Fortuny, for him to sleep.... He'll kill me iffin I make him miss the birthings."

The lioness shakes her head. "No... no food for me... not right now, though some hot tea liberally laced with honey might be good. Too much happening in that region to even want anything else taking place right now. I think I'll stick to a clear diet until all this is over." She starts to stretch then stops and frowns.

"Ummm... that was a rather strong one, she says after a few moments. "Really strong..."

Hopian is at her side in a flash. "Here, lean against me, if ye need to get comfortable. Maybe ye should move about a bit... you told me the last time it helped."

Fortuny laughs softly at him. "I was only carrying one that time... right now these little squirmers are fighting it..."
