Cherie had just been twiddling her cellphone when she heard a voice. A male voice. And it knew her name. The sun had long set, and she was on her way back from Kyle's. He wasn't in, and she had to spend tonight alone. She whirled around, seeing nothing but a mailbox. Narrowing her eyes, she folded her arms and regarded it suspiciously. Who was that? I don't recognize that voice... It wouldn't be Kyle... Maybe I was hallucinating. Sighing, Cherie brushed a hand against her own forehead, and turned to continue on her way.
All of a sudden, she paused again as she heard the voice offer her a cigar. The orange glow of the voice's owner's cigar shone out of the darkness, by the mailbox. "Ah," she murmured, cautiously walking closer. Feeling a shiver run up her spine, her intuition told her something wasn't normal about the person speaking to her; she disregarded it as the cold and rubbed her stiff fingers together briskly.
Cherie could make out a faint silhouette of a man--definitely not a boy--leaning against the mailbox. She did feel like a smoke; she was mad at Kyle. But inside, she wondered. Oh no, he's not another of those creepy horny townsmen who don't get sex from their wives? They pay well, though... I'm short on cash. And Kyle won't know. If it's really a cigar...
Cheered by the prospect of some substantial pocket money, Cherie tossed her hair back and smiled, answering in a flirtatious voice, "Why, sure! I could always use a good smoke..." She stepped closer. "Do I know you from anywhere? What would you like?" Winking, she plucked the cigar out of his fingers and took a long drag, turning her head away before letting out the smoke slowly and luxuriously.
((...I really haven't smoked before, so don't laugh if my description of Cherie smoking the cigar isn't right. xD Just correct me, lol! ))

((Neither have I, so to say the least, I dunno how to describe it either >__<))
"What I would like," Val began, looking towards the starlit sky, "Is for you to trust me here with what I have to say." From there, he paused, careful to stand up slowly. As he moved skyward, his features became more apparent under the moon. He seemed but only slightly taller than Cherie, but much older. The moon seemed to cast a somewhat dark shadow over his face, though his emerald eyes shone forth like stars themselves. "As you take those long drags on that cigar, just know that you've been given a grace from a complete stranger, for you do not know me, though I know you. I may sound like one of the many stalkers that you hear on television and radio, but know that I am not. I am not after you, perse, but rather, I'd like to help you."
Val paused for one more moment, taking in a breath as deep as possible, making it absolute that he recieved every bit of the cool, crisp, night air as it currented to him. He stared directly into Cherie's eyes, careful to note that there seemed to be something missing from them; a certain color and finesse that he had seen in others. This lacking of the shine of the eyes created a sense of sympathy for this person within Val, though his face showed nothing but seriousness.
"Would you like to hear me out now, or would you rather go somewhere else more comfortable to you?"

(( xD We're fine then. *fakes again* By the way, noting Cherie's character, she's going to be very single-minded and difficult. =3 Up to a challenge? ))
Cherie watched the smoke dissipate, listening to the man, head still turned to the side. He must be shy, talking like that. I've met men like this... Always talking eloquent but just really wanting to get down and dirty. Get satisfied. Well, it's fun for me too. She felt a little pang in her heart as she thought those thoughts, but ignored it, figured it was the cold again. She shivered a little, took another long drag, then thrust the cigar back into his hands.
"Grace, hey? And you want to help me? O-kay..." He was looking into her eyes, and they intimidated her; she didn't know why. She averted her gaze, directing it instead to the soft glow of her cellphone keypad. The digital display read "9:00 PM", and the seconds ticked away as she looked. "I'm not after you..." I wonder what he meant. Oh well, I'll just have to play along.
Cherie forced herself to look back up, then gave a sideways smirk. "Sure, mister. I'll 'hear you out'. We can go back to my place, nobody's home but me." Raising her eyebrows suggestively, she spun on her heels and started walking, gesturing for him to follow. If that's what you want, you strange man. I'll hear your discourse before intercourse, and it'll soon be over. She sighed, wrapping her arms around herself, as if to protect from the cold. "Hurry, because it's cold. You wouldn't want me to be...frigid, now would you?"
Her laugh sounded like a peal of little bells, merry and light, as she hurried ahead of him, not even thinking to ask his name. He was just another job for her, another way for her to find solace on a cold, lonely night.

((Challenge = fun and interesting in my books x3. I will now turn your character's little misunderstanding into an ingenious way to give your character some bit of relief =3))
Having a perplexed look on his face, Val continued to look at his charge, only standing there where she left him. "A strange woman she is," he thought to himself. "But yet....No! I can't! But then again...this may help her out. If she's suggesting..." he trailed his thought off, having a sudden and unexpected bit of inspiration. "Yes, that'll do..." said Val inadvertently aloud as he began to walk in the direction that Cherie had went in. "I can only hope this will be the right thing to do. I will have to forget that fear of mine if it comes down to worst assumptions, but I guess...well...I'll have to go through with this either way."
"You...might want to put this on," Valiant stated to Cherie, seemingly coming from nowhere to directly next to her. What he had offered to her was his trench coat that he wielded, having no regrets of doing so. "The name's Valiant, by the way. Just call me Val for short..." He allowed his sentence to somewhat drift into the air, making it seem like there was something else to be said.

((Relief? xD Okay~ ))
"Yes, that'll do..." Cherie sniggered as she heard him talk from behind her. She hummed and strode along, wishing it weren't so cold, thinking of what to do when she got back home with this...man. Her mother was out of town with her new boyfriend or on business; she really didn't know or care. All of a sudden, he was beside her, offering her his trench coat. Well, if he doesn't wanna use it... She grabbed it with stiff, shivering hands and wrapped it around herself. It was still warm, and her shivering subsided a little.
"Valiant..." She murmured to herself. A gentleman too. Bah, he will be pretty docile in bed. She sighed. "Cool name. Thanks!" Pausing, she raised herself a little on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek, grinned, then continued walking. "Just a few more blocks. Really, I hate how cold it gets up here... Don't you?" She glanced at Valiant. "Why did you come all the way up here?" she drawled lazily, watching her breath mist.

Seeing Cherie take his coat made Val feel slightly better about doing something for someone else, but he was surely cought unawares whenever Cherie ha given him a slight kiss. He was glad it was night, because he knew that whenever one's face became warmer than usual, it was so called "blushing."
Quicky regaining his composure, he shook his head and cleared whatever was on his mind for that moment. "For me...well..." Valiant paused in his speech to think for a moment, trying to get historical thoughts in his head, not lies, but perhaps half-truths. He knew that he would seem quite radical if he were to come straight out with the whole 'charge' thing, so he figured it best to leave that bit out; for a while at least. Leaning his head down a bit and half-way closing his, eyes, he began again in a somber tone, "...It's a belief of mine, that, because I am a simple man, all I need is a simple, far-out place to keep me happy. I've found that to be the truth now, and I do plan to stick with it. Why here though? It's because it was the first place that the dart hit whenever I threw it at the map, so to speak." He looked into Cherie's curious eyes momentarilly after that, only to quickly glance away. "I-I hope that I can get through this whenever the time comes..." he had a quick thought to himself, though he still remained with the same ghastly visage. "If you ask why I would help you, it is because you seem to need it, at least in my eyes, more than anyone else here. I...don't mean to make it sound like a 'love' thing, if it does, but just know it is not that. I have lead a selfish life before now, only thinking about myself..." "And my safety," he thought in-between, "...I figured that this would be the best way for me to redeem myself. About the chill here; it's never seemed to bother me. I guess that's just because I'm a guy though."
At the end of that speech, Valiant let out a very faint chuckle, just to lighten the mood a bit. He knew that he could probably be seen smirking, but he knew that happiness was a lie. He would only be happy whenever 'That Day' would come, and not until then.

(( 32 gold.. If only we really got gold for how much we type... D: ))
Cherie watched him, knowing her little peck on his cheek had affected him. She twirled a strand of her hair around her finger as she sauntered beside him, listening, watching. Simple, far-out place... Well, he sure as hell found it. Her thoughts turned gloomy, overcast by the dull, drab simple life in Tine. She hungered for so much more; she saw it all on TV, on advertisements, during company parties her father used to take her to. Well, no matter. She would do what she could, save up, and eventually move to the city, where she might be able to live with Kyle... or find someone else who loved her more! Instantly she was cheered by the prospect of a new knight in shining armor.
However, this man whose proposition she had thought to accept was... strange? One part of her kept nagging that something was amiss, that it wasn't just another lonely man. But the other part, lost in normality and routine and drama, insisted nothing was wrong and that he was just another weirdo. Not love? Well, duh. Helping me? Sure, with that money you're going to give me.
"Hun," she chirped, "Don't be so hard on yourself. Everyone's lived a selfish life! We don't need to redeem ourselves; hell will make you more than sorry. Why worry and waste the time on earth?" She smiled, pulling his coat closer around her. They were two blocks away from her house, her nice warm house. The thought of her warm bed immediately spurred her on again, and she began to walk faster.

"Hell..." Val paused in place for a moment of thought. "No...nothing's worse than Hell," he decided after no more than a half a second.
Again, Val seemingly sped up without notice and ended up directly abreast of Cherie. "You have sudden inspiration," he commented, quickening his pace as well to keep up with the girl. "But anyhow though, I do not find what I do a waste of my time at all, as long as I can make the lives of those still on this Earth that more enjoyable, then I'm happy as well. It is just because that this is how I am, and I don't plan on changeing," Val seemed to make his voice somewhat harsh at this point, "Hell is truly nothing to joke about. From what I've heard, there's no worse place; alive or dead. The torture that I've-...er...nevermind. I know this is beginning to sound just slightly awkward to you. I'll just say that I'd take the other road if I had a choice, which I may or may not."
Val knew deep within that there would be no salvation for a vampire. There was no such thing as a Nirvana for them; only Hell to look foward to, and in a more-than-literal sense. "I am beyond redemption," he thought aloud, though not realizing it at the time, "beyond the point of any solace from the Almighty God, and across the point of no return for happiness. I am but a mere soul, detached from this realm; destined for nothing but a certain darkness that can be seen ahead of me; all the time; every time I look up."
At this time Valient seemed more than eager to just get the word out, realizing that he had just laid down his thoughts in speech, but he held it in. "The poor girl has already seen enough of the wierdness of me to just forget that I had ever came into existance, and yet she is still here, next to me...but...why?" he couldn't help but think. Any other person would've told him to go away and never look at them again, but this person next to Val at this point seemed quite resilient to that fact.
"Forgive me for that," he began to try to console for his lack of attention to what he was doing, "That part just kinda slipped off of my tongue. I hope I'm not freaking you out or anything now, because that was surely not my intentions. How much farther do we have now?" Val began to look foward, seeing further into the darkness than what any normal human could even thing to do. He could see a few houses here and there, a lot of grass, and only a few oaks that remained upright. The hills across the land seemed to align on one point in the distance, though the taller mountains were scattered about a much larger distance.
((Seems like something inspired me o__o))

((LOL. <3 Inspiration is gooooood. Something that uni classes have been robbing me of. crying *rants and raves at assignments* ))
Cherie grimaced inside, half-listening to Valiant. I've caught myself an odd one tonight. Even the ones in the past weren't this weird... Ugh. Well, just one night. Then... shopping! She forced a grin. "Don't worry, hun... Freaking me out is what people in this town do a lot. You're not the first." Laughing, she stopped outside one of the houses and rummaged in her purse for the keys. "Also, not much further. It's right here! Maybe just the distance to my bedroom..." Finding the keys, she slipped them into the lock, throwing him a suggestive look.
They were greeted by a blast of warm air as they stepped into the entrance. Flicking on the light, Cherie closed the door behind Valiant, then swept his coat off of herself, hanging it on the coat rack nearby. Tugging off her snow-flecked boots, she dumped them unceremoniously in a pile by the door and proceeded ahead of him. Doing a little twirl, she gestured towards the staircase that lay to the right of the entrance. "The way to privacy~"
She curtseyed, still smiling. "It's not a big house, but I make do, since mother's not around most of the time anyways. The basement is very small, we use it for storage. Mother's bedroom is beside mine, upstairs... But we won't be going there." All the while, as she was talking, she scrutinized Valiant more closely. Hmm, he's actually quite attractive and well-built, now that there's actually some light to see him in. At least he's not like squashed-cabbage-face... She shuddered a little, not wanting to remember the unique features of one of the townsmen.
Pushing that out of her mind, she held out her hand to Valiant, waiting, smiling coyly. "The night awaits, hun."
((....I just realized this. I hope you aren't the kind of vampire that shrivels in light? D: I forget. Or is electric light fine? ))

((Since Valiant is a negative vampire, the sun does not affect him. He hates darkness though, but it does not harm him. He's just become used to it or something, so that's why he was able to do what he did earlier >_<. I've got to be quite creative with this part, so sorry if this sounds wierd to you >_>. It'll be over a few posts though; have to let you have your thoughts in as well ^_^.))
"Before we continue, would you mind something?" Valiant mentioned, walking steadily towards the sofa, "Just take a seat for a moment. I can promise to you this will be worth it." He knew, by this time, exactly what Cherie had been implying to him earlier. "Makes this job that much easier," he thought to himself as he moved around the sofa, only stopping whenever he reached a point behind it. He knew there would be only one way to try to console Cherie without inducing any habits needing to be broken, so he'd have no choice in doing what he was going to do.
((Sorry for shortness here, but this'd be Part I xD.))

((Meh, it's alright. Go ahead and do what you have to do. xD As for Cherie, you can circumvent her misunderstanding or time warp. =3 Or do what you were planning.))
Cherie watched in disbelief as Valiant walked right past her towards the sofa. She withdrew her hand, watching his back and scowling a little. Now what? I don't need to get to know you to do this... Or anything. Sighing, she followed him. She watched him move around to the back of the sofa; she plonked herself down on the left seat, leaning against the armrest, looking at him. "Anything you want, hun. Howevermuch worth it has really doesn't matter to me. It's your call." A teasing smile played across her face as she waited.

((No time warp or circumvention needed. You'll see what I mean later, just play along for now ^_^))
"Now please, just relax for a moment." Val said as he smoothly placed both of his hands across Cherie's shoulders, encompassing them in his firm grip. He began to run his thumbs across the edges of her shoulder blades; digging deep into Cherie's pressure points along her back. "Quite tense," he thought to himself as he wondered exactly what Cherie had been through these past days. Her muscles were very tight and seemed almost like they didn't want to move. "Sorry if this hurts a bit, but you were quite tense. This should help you relax a little better, after the muscle decides to release that is," he came, making his voice as calm and as fluid as he could muster it.
After another moment of messaging her shoulders, Val began to kneel on the floor, making his head level with Cherie's. Continuing after the muscles decided to finally release, he crawled his fingers closer to her neck, delicately rubbing out each muscle; ironing the tention to an absolute zero. "Do you mind this?" asked Val, jutting his head foward to softly whisper into Cherie's ear. He knew that he'd have to get the mood a bit more dreamy in order to make this seem as such, and it looked like it was working for the most part. Val luckily had this planned out for a while now, and knew how the human psyche worked well enough to achieve this goal that he would tonight. He would at least not have to worry about the affects of vampirism, since him being a negative one cancelled out the affects of others turning into one.
((Figured it out yet?))

"Wow, that long?" Amber asked curiously, watching him. "I wonder how many other mystical beings there are around here." She said more to herself than to him. Then she noticed he'd said he'd been ill and she wrinkled her brow slightly, actually looking concerned. It suprised her a little, seeing as she barely knew him, but she mentally shrugged it off as nothing. "You were sick? With what?"
In responce to his next statement, Amber sighed, hanging her head slightly. "Sorry," She mumbled under her breath. "It just seems wierd. I'm not exactly a 'believe-everything-I-hear kind of person. Anyway, I'm dropping that particular subject." She put her hands up in resignation and smiled awkwardly.
"So! Will you tell me a bit about yourself? I'm probably going to be seeing a lot of you, after all, so I may as well know who I'm talking to. Right?"

~*OOC*~ No problem, Ari-chan. ^-^ ~*OOC*~
Victor head snapped up, his eyes sharp and cold for a moment. Immediately, he softened his visage, trying to make himself look less defensive. "Nothing, really. It just didn't leave me in good health, is all." Nor did it leave me in a good state of mind. Victor thought.
"Tell you... about myself?" Victor asked. "Hmmm... there's not really much to tell, really." Because almost all of my past was being a madman. "Well, I was born and bred a full-blood vampire, therefore inheriting all their abilities... and weaknesses. After I was taught to fend for myself by my parents, they abandoned me. That was when I was six." Victor said, pausing for her reaction. "I didn't mind. It's what my line of family did. They did this in hopes of raising a stronger, more independant vampire." Victor explained. "A few years after that, when I was around twelve years old, was when I became sick. I don't remember much between that time and now. The illness affected my memory." Victor said, hoping she wouldn't see past the lie. Then again, he had learned to become a very good liar throughout his years. "And here I am now, cursed to babysit you until the day you die. Why have they foresaken me?" Victor said, his tone sounding angry and frustrated, although he was actually being sarcastic.

((Ho's**t. You make me want a massage. DDD: How I've missed them. I have a faint inkling of what you're about to do to Cherie.))
Shivers coursed through her body, and Cherie felt like she had DIED and gone to heaven. She adored massages, but never before had anyone given her such an amazing, focused, relaxed experience. Most of the guys who gave her massages tended to do so for a minute, then get distracted by their hormonal urges. Oh wow... I don't care how long he takes now... She closed her eyes and began to enjoy it.
All of a sudden, his voice whispered into her ear and she jumped a little, not expecting him to be so close. "N-no, not at all," she managed, breaking out of her gradually relaxing state to answer him. In fact, she was loving it more and more. His fingers were so strong and determined, and her muscles just seemed to give way to them; they burned as they relaxed, and she her eyes just stayed shut as he continued to work her muscles.
