The Mistborn series is awesome! I would also recommend the Night Angels for anyone that liked Mistborn, and for people who loved Night Angels, the author has a new series and has two books out. It's the Lightbringer series and the first one is The Black Prism the Second book is called The Blinding Knife. Both are excellent reads.

For those who prefer a little bit more romance to the high swords and sorcery but still want Historical with a mystical feel, I would suggest anything by Susanna Kearsley, seriously the woman is amazing.

I got one book by her as a Christmas gift bought another two with giftcards and had to go on and buy all her books that are out. I'm only missing one and then the first two that she's written but she doesn't want people reading the first two so I'm really only missing one.
