Sinbad felt rather out of shape as a Grimer came in, landing a hit on him before a second fire blast took him out. He supposed after all those years spent waiting for his master, he should have maybe napped less and focused on training more. The lion grunted, watching as Stow fidgeted nearby.
Cyrus followed Apollo, a bit grateful for the lack of comments on his pants size. He wasn't paying much attention to the colors and styles of clothes. Honestly, he didn't care as long as it didn't stand out too much, and felt good. The Egyptian didn't really have any complaints when his friend finally found a pair of pants to go with the cream shirt, thrusting a pair of light blue pants on him. "Nah, they'll fit." Cyrus insisted.

A pokemon the group had yet to see popped its head out from a nearby alley, the sound of battling causing its ears to wiggle curiously before it eventually padded out. The Eevee crept forward quietly, still curious but wary now that it was out in the open. Its 'stealth mode' didn't prove too effective, unfortunately, and no sooner had it taken another step forward was Mona alerted to its presence and acted accordingly, moving in close to deal out an attack that instantly knocked the brown fox back several feet.
Apollo looked from the pants to its future wearer, secretly rather proud of his choice. It was a good material, the right color, and, as a bonus, after a quick check of its price tag it wasn't too pricey. He expected these sort of high prices, boutiques, even small ones such as this one, always had clothes set to these sort of prices. It helped pay for the marble flooring and strategically placed pedestals and vase-filled flowers-- that or because of the 'brand'. It was one of the two. He found himself frowning, however, when Cy decided to be stubborn, assuring him that the the pants would fit. "Nope," he shook his head, the down-turned corner of his lip letting his displeasure be known. "You don't know that for sure, Cy. Go on and try them on." Just because they were his size didn't mean they automatically fit, the length could be wrong or maybe they fit a bit too snugly around his hips. You never knew what kind of problem clothes could have, even when they were 'the right size'.
He turned away from Cy, his frown less prominent, to try and find a changing room, and once he had he turned back to the older male. "There's one over there in the corner, go try on the pants and tell me how they fit. The shirt too."

Sinbad was approached by yet another grimer that refused to just go on it's merry way. Instead, the already roughed up lion was dragged into battle, getting hit once more before it was dispatched with a second fire blast. The rather weakened big cat padded off to lick his wounds, dropping the choice scarf nearby.
Cyrus blinked, looking up at Apollo as he insisted that he tried the clothes on. His cheeks puffed out ever so slightly in frustration. Damn it! He knew his own size! Why couldn't they just get the clothes and leave now? He could tell by the look on his friend's face that he wasn't going to be able to weasel his way out of trying the clothes on. Was Apollo always this stubborn...? "Fine." he responded shortly, a hint of tone as if trying the clothes on was such a big hassle.
After Apollo pointed out the changing room, Cyrus went into it, sort of pouting the whole way, grumbling. Once he was in a booth, he took off the shirt and jeans that he had, then tried on the cream shirt. It fit... well enough. Could be a bit looser, but... any bigger and it might look ridiculous. Then, the pants. He pulled them on, finding that the legs were just a little too long. He was prepared to just deal with it. "They fit. I'm changing back now." Cyrus called out to his friend, not bothering with showing it off.

Eevee rolled several feet before finally coming to a stop only inches away from the alley it'd came from. It popped back up after a second and shook its body out, appearing uninjured, and trotted forward, heading directly for Mona. The Riolu narrowed her eyes and clenched her paw into a fist, preparing herself for another attack. While she prepared to deal with a repeater Eris had to deal with a rather bird-brained Pidove that had initiated their battle by dive-bombing her right on the head. This had angered her, for obvious reasons, and with a irritated huff stomped her foot onto the ground, causing pillars of stone to erupt out of the ground and knock the Pidove away.
Apollo placed one hand onto his hip, the expectant look on his face unfaltering until Cyrus finally conceded. He broke out into an easy grin once he'd gotten his way and even reached out to the other's shoulder, "I'm glad you've come to understand." Honestly, he didn't understand why Cyrus acted as if this was the hardest thing in the world, at most changing in and out of clothes would take five minutes. The reason wasn't important, however, the cream-haired male had agreed, begrudgingly, and was now shuffling off to the changing room.
He followed after him, at a much slower pace, and with his hand still on his hip he waited for Cyrus to announce that he was done. While he waited for him he was joined once more by the sales assistant, and with her around the two carried on a conversation centered solely around the woman's work. A short time later Cyrus' voice sounded from the room, and with a lingering smile he turned to look at the closed door. "Alright, come on out so I can see it." He waited for the door to slowly creak open, and when it was wide enough the trainer shuffled out to present himself. "Do a spin," he instructed, finger twirling through the air to help indicate what he wanted. Once that was accomplished he gave a smile, "it looks good on you. The pants are a bit long, but I'm sure you can get them hemmed." Apollo stretched his hands back, clasping them behind his head in an easy-position. "You're 'free', go on and change I'll meet you at the register."

Sinbad looked up as an Audino passed nearby, stopping to show a bit of concern for the lion. The pink pokemon tilted her head, then gave the pyroar a gentle pat on the head before going along her way. The fire type had no interest in fighting the pacifist pokemon. However, a certain rat nearby gathered enough boldness to jump forward and strike out with a Thunder attack. Audino let out a sound of shock and turned to whack the rat in defense. Unfortunately for the Audino, Stow was too tough for that, and took her down with a blizzard. Victory screech! Stow reveled in his win, unaware of the angry lion approaching from behind. Sinbad was not pleased with the rodent's actions. Once more, the rat was grabbed up in Sinbad's mouth, petrified.
Cyrus cringed a bit as Apollo demanded him to show off the outfit. It took him a moment, but he eventually sighed and left the stall to show his friend how the clothes looked. He was definitely not willing to do a 'spin' so he just shuffled around a bit. Why all this for getting clothes... There was even one of those darn associates nearby when he came out! He didn't really have any comments for Apollo, but was quick to go back into the changing room as soon as the 'show' was done. After changing back into his cheap clothes, he joined Apollo at the register, rummaging though his bag for money to make the purchase.

Eevee, whose eyes fell onto Eris for only a moment, begin to creep forward, dropping down onto his belly and using his front-paws to inch itself closer to Mona. The poke-actress raised an eyebrow, confused, and rolled her eyes before turning to look elsewhere. It wasn't as if she didn't see the world's largest, and only, fuzzy Caterpie, she just didn't care enough to give it enough attention. Not when there was a pokemon to deal with, a Buneary who took it upon itself to step up to Mona and challenge her. Odd. She accepted though, and sent it crying back to its mother.
Even with his less than enthusiast attitude, Apollo appreciated the fact that he'd been even been willing to entertain him this long and flashed the male a grin as he trudged away. Once Cyrus retreated back into the changing room Apollo turned his attention back to the sales assistant, wrapping up their conversation and ultimately ending it by procuring her number. "I'll call you once I get off, gorgeous," he said as farewell, waving to the woman before he moved over to the register. It wasn't long before he was joined by Cyrus, who paid for his clothes rather quickly, wallet already out in preparation. Once he'd been given his clothes and a receipt Apollo made for the door, holding it open for his friend and following him outside.
"Wanna head to the Pokecenter?" he suggested once they were outside, his hand moving to hover over his eyes in an attempt to block out the sun. "We'll collect our pokemon first and then head on over, you can change into your new clothes once we get there."

Cyrus was quick to pay for his clothes and leave the store, giving an annoyed look the the sales associates as he left with his friend. "Yeah, might as well." Cyrus replied, glancing up at his friend from the corner of his eyes. It was certainly... odd. Hanging out after a decade... his friend turned out to be like some kind of notorious flirt or something. Pretty sure he got some numbers while he was changing. He grit his teeth a bit in silence at the thought, but continued back to Central Park to pick up his pokemon.
Sinbad padded over to his trainer, a struggling Stow hanging from his mouth by his tail. "Hey Sinbad. How'd it go?" Cy questioned the lion, giving him a pat on the head. There was a rumble in the pyroar's chest. Argo noticed his trainer finally returned, but he was still a bit miffed at him. Instead of flying to Cyrus, the wingull glided his way over to Apollo, landing on his shoulder and giving a friendly squawk. Maybe Apollo had a cracker? The wingull certainly seemed a bit expectant. As soon as Apollo gathered his pokemon, they started to head towards the pokemon center.

With her narrowed gaze settled on its retreating form, Mona watched as the Buneary literally went crying back to its mother, an angry Lopunny who didn't take to kindly to having her child used as punching bag. After using a certain move she caressed the young rabbit's face, drying the copious amounts of tears that stained its cheeks, before she went off to confront Mona. No use of explaining would convince the protective mother that her child had been the instigator, and in the midst of trying to calm her down the Lopunny even managed to get a quick hit in. Eventually, matters were resolved when Mona quickly defeated the pokemon and sent her packing. She understood where the mother was coming, but it was still annoying. Especially when she was attacked at random.
Apollo slipped his hands behind the back of his head, bridging them together in a relaxed position. The truck back to their pokemon was a rather silent one, and in that silence the trainer used that chance to reflect on the past few hours. He'd been rather productive, as of late, and he was rather proud of it. He'd, finally, gotten around to beating the second gym leader and was now rekindling a decade old relationship he'd figured dead. It was getting late in the evening, however, and as much of a 'night Noctowl' as he claimed to be he needed to get up early the next morning. In the morning he'd be going on a trip.
Once the two returned to the Plaza Apollo was greeted by a few worn-down, but relieved pokemon. "Hey you three." He dropped down to run his fingers through Eris' fur before he switched over to scratch Kahn's ears, Mona was the last to arrive, joined by a slow crawling Eevee who managed to stop just in the bright-haired male's line of sight. He raised an eyebrow, confused at the sight of the uncommon pokemon, but didn't question it. If it wanted a fight, that would have to wait until after he'd healed his pokemon. Apollo straightened to his feet and stretched, his shoulders slumping back down just in time for Argo to alight there. His eyes lit up at the familiar sight.
"Hey there, Argo," he greeted the Wingull with a light scratch on the top of his head, an easy smile rising to his lips. "Sorry bud, I don't have any food on me. Wait until we get to the Pokemon Center, I'll give you something then." Apollo stepped back towards the bench, leaning over it to pick up his sax case, and then turned to begin following after Cyrus, his free hand often lifting up to shower Argo with some form of affection. Even if Cyrus had changed, it was something of a relief to know that Argo hadn't.

Cyrus retrieved Stow from Sinbad's mouth, returning him to his ball. He gave a sideways glance as Argo decided to pay attention to Apollo instead. Damn bird... if he wanted to be pouty, then fine. The Wingull seemed only a little disappointed that his bright haired friend didn't have anything for him. He gave a cheery squawk as Apollo paid him in affections and a promise to give him something once they reached the daycare. "So spoiled..." Cyrus thought, rolling his eyes a bit.
As they walked to the pokemon center, Sinbad lagged behind a bit, his low health starting to get to him. Cyrus didn't really... well, notice. The lion seemed okay with it though - he was happy to see Cyrus and Apollo as friends again, and hoped that everything had gone well. Lucky for the big cat, it wasn't long before he got healed after reaching the pokemon center. "Do you... want to grab something to eat while we are here...? Cyrus eventually managed to break the silence between him and his friend. He was still avoiding direct eye-contact, though, going to the pc and checking on his pokemon. ... there was a treecko there, wasn't there? It seemed to have been... replaced. Odd... At least it was an Eevee. Virus must have gotten bored or something. Even though he could have sold that gecko for a decent price, Eevee were an ever-popular pokemon that was very much sought after.

Even with his attention mainly on Argo, Apollo still managed to divert it onto his own pokemon, making sure that, despite their injuries, they were still able to keep up. He gave that same concern to Cyrus' pokemon too, tilting his head back to try and catch a glimpse of Sinbad to assure that the protective lion wasn't falling behind. He was aware of another presence as well, farther back from the group the Eevee from earlier was.. stalking them? Though it wasn't as if he could consider it much of a threat, it was inching after them at an Arceus-awful pace.
Apollo managed to put the odd antics of the Evolution Pokemon in the back of his mind once they entered the Pokemon Center, sending off their pokemon to be healed. The bright-haired male let his case fall back to the ground with a soft thunk! before he turned to look at Cyrus, eyebrow quirking in light contemplation to his offer. "Yeah, I could eat," he responded, once again noting how he actively evaded making eye contact. He opened his mouth, prepared to finally question him, only to shut it when Nurse Joy returned with his pokemon. He let Kahn back out, and after a bit of thought Sylvia as well. His starter greeted him with a dirty look, no doubt upset that she'd been cooped up for so long, but said nothing more. With that done he trucked over to Cyrus, leaning casually against the PC to watch him check on his pokemon.
"So, is there any particular reason why you're not looking me in the eye?" he asked, casually, arms sliding across his chest. "I can assure you, making eye contact won't turn you to stone. Or are you just afraid that you'll fall in love with me?" He kept his tone light, teasing, but with a low undertone of irritation. It wasn't even the fact that they were friends, it was just common courtesy to meet someone's eye when you were talking to them!

Cyrus was... well, admittedly happy that Apollo had seemed interested in getting something to eat while they were at the pokecenter. As much as he'd like to try and convince himself that it wouldn't matter either way. "Alright. That works out well then." he commented.
The Egyptian decided to withdraw the Eevee right as Apollo questioned him about avoiding eye contact. Grabbing the ball and quickly logging out of the pc, he considered it for a moment. Earlier when he made eye contact, the other had said something suggestive. And... well. It kinda made him a bit scared to have prolonged eye contact with his friend. It was a weird thing to describe - he felt like if Apollo looked too long he might change his mind about trying to be friends again. Even though he kept trying to think like it didn't matter, it kinda frightened some part of him deep inside. Not to mention ... other complicated, unresolved feelings. Apollo probably didn't remember, but Cyrus certainly recalled one of the last times they saw each other as kids, he had tried to kiss him, but completely and utterly failed, trying to play it off like he was just making a silly face. Ugh! Cyrus tried to shake off the memory, but it stuck like glue, causing him a bit discomfort.
Apollo sounded like he was kind of irritated by the avoidance of eye contact, though. And it seemed like he wanted an answer for it. Cyrus struggled to come up with anything. Taking a deep breath, he ended up looking up to make eye contact with the other, his golden gaze locking with those blue orbs. His left eye twitched a bit in annoyance, partly due to his comment about falling in love. "S-stop being so conceited... I ... just don't like that i have to look up to you now..." he grumbled. He was starting to feel weird under the other's gaze - were his eyes always so blue? - No! Stop! That's just what Apollo would expect of him! Cyrus broke away from the eye contact, brushing past his friend in a hurry. "I'm going to change now." he stated on his way by, keeping his face low as he rushed off to change his clothes. It wasn't too long before he returned in his new clothes, ready to get something to eat.

Apollo stifled a yawn and ran his hand lightly through his hair, his stomach growling soon after he'd agreed to eat with Cyrus. Huh. Was it the mention of food that had suddenly made him hungry, or had he just slowly been getting to the point where his stomach needed to remind him to fill it? Either way, the Egyptian's offer couldn't have come at a better time; as soon as he finished changing they could head over to the cafeteria.
Before that could happen, however, Apollo needed an answer to his question, and he needed it right then. It had been something that'd bothered him ever since meeting up with Cyrus, he wouldn't leave until he got an answer. He was still leaning against the PC, its smooth edges proving for an excellent arm rest, when Cyrus steeled himself to, begrudgingly, make eye contact. Apollo didn't look away, the corner of his mouth lifting in amusement when he saw Cyrus' eye twitch in response to his joke. His half-smile grew into a grin when the dark-skinned male reprimanded him about being 'conceited', even though in his eyes he was simply asking a logical question, only for that expression to falter at the answer he gave.
It was far from satisfactory, but before he could get a better answer from him the male had already slipped away, in a hurry to change into his clothes and, he imagined, to weasel out of his interrogation. "Well you need to get used to it, I'm not going to shrink anytime soon," he replied, voice forcibly nonchalant. Now alone, Apollo bided his time by drumming his fingers against the PC, his jaw set and lips turned down into a frown, no way was that Cyrus' real reason for avoiding the simple task of making eye contact. He wasn't given a chance to stew for long, Cyrus returning within minutes, donned in his new clothes. Apollo looked him over, from head to toe, but simply grabbed his case and began walking towards the cafeteria in lieu of commenting.
If Cyrus wasn't going to be honest with him, so be it, he wouldn't push it. He would, however, spend several minutes in silence as he tried to multi-task between emitting an air of indifference and deciding on what he wanted to eat.

Apollo was still stewing, his jaw clenching and unclenching, by the time they entered the cafeteria. He made a beeline for the buffet, grabbing a tray to pile food for himself and his pokemon onto, as well as the crackers he'd promised Argo early. By the time they'd arrived to an empty table, however, he'd managed to calm down, or at least push his issues to the side and concentrate on a more optimistic and talkative viewpoint. Their time together was too short to be spent angry at Cy.
The musician sat himself down at a chair adjacent from Cyrus and doled out food to his pokemon before he began to eat himself, nibbling absently on a half of a sandwich. "So," he spoke after he'd swallowed. "What are your plans for after this?" he asked, and with his other hand he unwrapped the plastic around the crackers he'd grabbed to begin feeding Argo. Another pokemon, apparently feeling left out, decided to join their luncheon with a bit of flourish. Ceti popped out of her pokeball, materializing on the floor besides Sylvia. She didn't stay there for long, however, and quickly scrambled up to perch herself onto Apollo's shoulder. Besides giving Argo, a stranger in her eyes, a dirty look she said nothing and rubbed herself against Apollo's cheek with a chirp.
