I love the orbs but my question is if its possible to have your own custom orb like with your own colors and such? it could be event only or super rare? Its just a small idea i just thought of

usually baby stages are colored like the pet they will be turning into nwn. So I can't really see coloration being limited.....
But as far as accessories, I don't see why that couldn't be done for like an auction smile. Like another shop I have seen *caughcaugh*, a person won an auction that had a pet with three wings and was promiced that no other pet besides ones stemming from its lineage would ever have two or more sets.
So winning, say, a sea slug instead of a hermit crab and promised it would be the only one to have an adorable little sea slug on its orb would be very possible<3
@elf: please make that an official accessory twt! *composes self* but yes, I can see what you mean :3. If the butt has speckled dots on the totem it kind of takesthe mystery out of where those speckles will end up.

Omg this job has tainted me xD! For the past three weeks they play Homeward Bound in the suits for the dogs. I haven't seen it in forever so every time I pass by and it catches my eye I think of when the pit got porcupine needles in its muzzle twt.
I would like to see it kept as horses, but not interested in the native american theme. it never worked for me, and so many soq had tech, and fantasy gear and what not that it just never fit for me. i would like to see if have a more open theme so fantasy, and tech/gadget pets are more believable in cannon.
Agreed ^ My horse can't live in an abandoned church because there were no churches in that time period but . . . That one has a cell phone and head phones (that play music) on. That always confused the hell out of me.

Also my vote is on orbs. Blankets look weird eggs could work but orbs would be the best.

I have a suggestion that is a little off the current topic but I was wondering if it would be possible to give pets that don't have hands a type of energy or power that I allows them to move an object specific to them? Like a bonded object kind of the thing.
Take for example the cleaver family from soq. They could freely levitate the blade they are born with in a small radius around them. Or If your equine came from a family of tinkers. He could use a hammer or maybe a screw driver. Perhaps a soq that crafts thins could manage a needle.
It would be cool because if each one could only use one bonded object it would create a need to form groups/guilds/herds. Not to mention it would would make a soq with an object obviously meant for humans help make a little more sense.
Think the unicorns in MLP but instead of being able to move whatever they would only control one bonded or . . . enchanted object.
Also if we are still taking species suggestions. Naga. More snake love in general. I even have a pretty good idea for them if ya know creative writing positions are open. It is the year of the snake after all.

I love the orb idea c: Because it reminds me of another shop I am in where you get a 'thicket' It's basically a tall shrub of grass and all you see is a small curve of the babies back for colors but! All over the thicket there are scatterings of tiny items to hint at what the baby will have <3 That's what the orbs make me think of. Like say if it's parents had certain items there might be one strung up in the thicket but, not EVERYTHING is shown just little teasers. Like..a piece of lacey fabric..or..a little blue rose.
ROSES I'd love to see an orb with roses / flowers in general around it o Ao the idea seems super cute like omg In breedings if orbs are chosen couldn't people just pick like 'Hey! I don't want orbs I just want babies!' or 'I'd like orbs before getting babies so we can rp a bit more or just cause I like them etc?' xD

As for aquatics and the boundries between them and land bound horses, couldn't they be like the species of fish that can crawl up onto land and breath air for short periods of time?
That would allow them a little more flexibilty in RP but keep them bound to their natural environment as well.

Perhaps the aquatic breeds could have lungs and gills like amphibious fish? Or could breathe through their skin for short periods of time. They could be capable of coming out of the water for X amount of time and have a radius of how far away they could move away from a water source due to risk of drying out etc... They would probably be pretty clumsy and slow out of water just due to how I imagine their body structure would be. While I think levitating and moving water with them sounds interesting, I think the limitations help define a breed as much as the abilities and allow for creativity when thinking around how to beat those limitations. I think if we have aquatic breeds that can traverse the land and land breeds that can breathe in the water it would just blur the lines between them too much. Only my opinion. I do definitely agree that finding ways to increase interaction would increase interest in the aquatic breeds though. I also liked that there were species that acted as bridges between the land and aquatic breeds for breeding purposes. I think of the Naga in Wow, who can breathe water or air, hang out on the shores and can interact with land creatures but are still bound to water.
Also, if they weren't salt or freshwater dependent they could travel all over the place as long as there were rivers deep enough and meet all sorts of interesting characters n_n

I think lanterns is a cool idea too. That way you could have little dangly charms<3.
Not to put more stress on the artists, but maybe each species could have their own baby stage? I can picture the dragons having lanterns<3. Mostly because when I think of lanterns I think of middle east and that is what I think of dragons too lol. That and if their are different types of dragons *fire. water, earth, air* there could be different models of lantern? or not >3>.

I really like this idea. I always found it hard to describe exactly how Julius Monrey used his wrench.
But what if you just wanted a regular horse without any items?
I also like the amphibious mer idea so there could be more interactions between land and water horses.
