Standing up again, Verde looked back to where he had just ran from. He thought about Jeff. What a fool he was, being happy with slavery and adored Scarlet.

Scarlet sighed and went upstairs. Jeff was gone from where he had been knocked out. Scarlet looked around for him. She walked into his room and saw him laying down. She got him some asprin and a pack of ice.

Looking around, Verde saw that he was nearing his home village once more. The terrain was familiar. "At last..." he said, starting to pick up speed.

Crossing the river that his village used to get drinking water, Verde felt happiness that he would soon be seeing his friends and family again.

((I think we should start over. This RP hasn't really been the best, now it's straining on it's last legs. The idea is good, we just need to play with it differently. For example, more interactions between Scarlet and Verde.))
Seeing smoke in the distance, he knew it was his village. Smiling widely, he started to dash as fast as he could towards the smoke. However, something was wrong, that smoke was far too black to be wood burning. Feeling a knot in his gut, he slowed down.

Verde was sitting on the cold stone floor. He was shivering, for he wore only thin rags that had been given to him by the slave traders. Sighing, he looked up to see a girl looking in on him.
