“I think I’ll spare my nose thanks,” Kanti laughed. She noticed how he wrapped his tail around her and she smiled gratefully. “Why don’t you want it to stop?” she asked.

"Because then we wouldn't be trapped here together." He joked lightly, resting his head on her side again.

Kanti chuckled softly. “Good answer,” she teased back, gently laying her head on his paws, her whole body turned towards him.

Sanoskue shivered slightly, not from the cold, but from something that just crossed his mind, "Just thinking of what would have happened if we had never met...no thats not something I want to think about." He shook his head slightly, trying to clear his mind of the thought.

Kanti also shuddered thinking of the numerous bad possibilities and pressed herself closer to Sanoskue, both seeking comfort and offering it. “I’m glad I met you Sanoskue,” she said softly.

Sanoskue rested his head on her side again, "I'm glad I met you, I think we'd both be dead by now if we didn't have each other."

“No, you’d probably be fine. You wouldn’t have been anywhere near the bear if not for me. I’d definitely be dead though,” Kanti said with another shiver.

"I'd be dead today though, without your body heat I would have surley frozen by now." He said, gently licking her cheek.

Kanti sighed softly and licked Sanoskue back. “I guess you’re right,” she conceded. “So it really is good you found me then.”

“Me too,” she said softly. She laid her head down and snuggled against Sanoskue’s side, her tail curled around them.

Sanoskue entwined his tail with hers and snuggled as close to Kanti as possible.

Kanti whimpered softly. She hadn’t felt like this in a long time. She had to admit to herself, she wasn’t pressed this close to Sanoskue just for warmth. She was close to him because she wanted to be. She licked his nose and laid her head on his paws again.

Sanoskue smiled happily, this was probably one of the first times he could say he cared deeply for someone who wasn't a member of his pack...not that he had one now.
