Tam peels off his wet clothes and shakes his head. "I'll go see Shar. She should be able to help. You have a lesson to teach. Corby should be here soon." He stands up covered with goose bumps, literally. Shivering he pulls out his warmest clothing and puts it on. A pair of leather pants lined with felt and a thick heavy sweater.

Finding a clean pair of socks is harder though.

"Dang... maybe I should just stay home and do the laundry." he moans, sitting down hard on the floor and looking miserable. "Where's my brush?" he asks trying to run his fingers through his hair.

**I don't remember doing that... It wasn't one of the talents he was worried about**

Tam frowns and shakes his head to clear it. "Are you porting?" he asks worriedly.

Tam nods sadly. "Yes... remember, Taro, magic is a tool... not a toy or a game... and like many tools it can harm you if you are not careful. It can make your life easier, but truth is... no good mage uses magic to do those things he can do himself. So unless we're under attack, no porting in the house... Promise? I asked your elder once why he cooked so much when he could just wave a hand and make a meal appear and ye know what he said... ?"

Tam lifts a strand and sighs. "That bad, huh? Man, I really did have a bad night, didn't I? I don't wake up looking this bad unless I've been tossing and turning all night long. I didn't keep you up, did I?" he asks reaching for the brush and trying to tackle the mess on his own.

"That's good." says Tam wincing as he worked out the knots. "I had some really strange dreams. Glad I didn't bother you." he yawns and shudders. "Don't think I slept too good either. I haven't walked in my sleep since forever... "

Tam sighs inwardly with relief. It was bad enough he remembered what the dreams had been about, if he had to share that memory with the lion, he knew he'd never live it down.

"I think I will stay home today and wash some clothes. It seems sunny enough out to dry it outside. You have anything that needs washing? Sheets? blankets? Whatever?" says Tam thoughtfully. Perhaps working hard was what he needed just then... Plain simple manual labor to get the willies out.

Tam laughingly scrubs the sheets in a great wooden tub and hangs them on the fence with Salunia's help. After he does those he starts on his clothes. This is a bit harder. They hadn't done laundry for some time now. Setting up a couple of wooden racks he begins to drape the finish pieces on them, but when it comes to pairing up the socks he finds himself scratching his head.

"Forty two different socks and not a one matches the other." he grumbles putting the last of his share on the rack.

Salunia giggles and she carefully adjusts her last one. Cocking her head to one side she looks at him. "They all gots howles too."

Tam sighs dramatically. "It's the toes... those claws of mine cut right through them."
