In our Wind Orchestra (top group) we have 8, which is about five too many. Our Concert Band has nine. In our marching band (taken from both), we had twelve this past season. That's a major improvement from the four that marched my freshman year! I was (and still am) the only one in my grade on flute/piccolo for marching.

My concert and Marching Band has about 18 flutes 3 of wich are seniors and are leaving us. 1 thats a foreign exchange student and 1 that also plays the piccalo that is leaving us. We have maybe 7 joining us though so we will still have about 18.
