"Heh. Then I guess I'm lucky, huh?" Alex chuckled, watching as Button stepped away from Aiko and hopped up back on the bed next to the man and curling into a ball.

"Lucky for right now. Until you get ambushed. I can see it now. Dakota, Mikarou, maybe Cody. Wow." She tapped her chin. The image looke painful.

"Oh, please no. That'd hurt more than anything," Alex cringed, the thought just enough to make his skin crawl; a literal dogpile would never be fun. "How about we keep them on a leash, please?"

"We couldn't get Mikarou in a collar and leash if our lives depended on it. Unless Yuki could get it on him, but she knows he doesn't like it. Dakota doesn't mind much, but she wouldn't stay in it too long." AIko shook her head. "Poor doggies. Poor you."

"Ha ha. . .yeah, sure," Alex said, shaking his head. Another burning pain ran through his body and he found himself shaking as it did; damn, it hurt. He wished Dairen or Sylvia were still alive. At least that way, he could beat on them to tell him how to fix this. . .curse, was it? "You know, I think I might be getting a little better. . ."

"Tch. I'm trying, at least," Alex sighed, giving up on controlling his shaking. He still hurt a little, but he'd manage; Aiko wasn't someone else to worry.

After a while, Hiroshi got up and looked out the window. Bird? He turned and walked out of the hospital, giving Alex and Aiko a small wave. "At least." Aiko looked at Hiroshi as he walked out of the room and left. When she glanced out the window, she could see him going. "And he walks on his own. Surprise, surprise!"

"Yeah. Heh, it's a miracle!" Alex chuckled. Then he blinked as something felt off, then helped when Ai appeared in front of him in a flash of blue flames. As usual, the little sprite was frantic. It took a while before he finally got the brief idea. "Something's up somewhere. Well! Time to follow!" Without waiting, he pulled back the bed covers and stood up, grabbing his shoes from beside the bed and putting them on. Ai seemed to sigh with relief.

Aiko looked at him. Unbelieveable. "The more you move, the more you'll be forced back here. But that's not my choice. Hiroshi went over to where this 'something' is." Aiko turned around and walked.

"There's a reason Ai came and it's probably important. And what's Hiroshi gonna do if it's something like a fight?" As though this decided it, Alex fixed his shirt and made a mental note to grab a change of clothes while he was out; he felt way too dirty now. "Besides, I'm gonna go store crazy at this rate." With a small grin, he ran after Ai as she led the way out of the hospital.

Alex stayed quiet the whole way, unable to say anything. He took a careful glance at his necklace then at Shin before his gaze returned to the ground below; no way were things going to be easy. Not that he truly wanted to fix up his tool, but it was something he had to do. Otherwise it'd just backfire on him eventually.

"Hey you still alive or am I just boring you lex?" shin asked setting lex down finally, "Look were back at your favorite place! You should be happy" he smiled joking as he started to lead alex in, hoping the guy would snap out of the whole silence thing.

"Hm? Oh, err. . .yeah. Sure. My favourite place to be. Let's go with that," Alex said sarcastically after snapping out of his thoughts; it could wait. Out of instinct, he couldn't help but glance around the room, knowing full well someone would jump out at him.
"Hmm. . .just where could he have gone?" Risa wondered aloud as she came to front of the place behind the welcome desk. Her twin was sick today so she was in a less than cheerful mood. Looking up, though, she placed her gaze on Alex and Shin. "Ah ha!"
Alex jumped at the suuden outburst; damn, that had been quick. But at least it wasn't Sylvia.
