"When ye keep rubbing them together like that, all twisty and turny... how am I supposed to count them." retorts Tam merrily. "And you haven't answered me. I feel like yer avoiding something here...." he grumbles testily. "So how's Luna like the realm?"

He smiles and leans back on his hands, flaring his wings slightly, then absorbing them, so he can lay on his back and see the sky. "Good... not so much kids anymore, I'm afriad, more like a pair of trouble makers, iffin ye ask me. Their ages are hard to determine... what with that extended time they had stuck as cubs... but they're definitely teenagers with all that description implies... emotional yoyos, rebellions and all. Bez has a harder time dealing with it than I, I'm afraid... you kind of broke me in, ye know."

Tam shrugs. "Your problem, not mine. I don't mind the teasing because I know it is exactly that." He studies the sky for a bit then sighs. "Ye really okay now? Ye really kind of scared me back there? If Luna hadn't come when I sent for her..." his voice trails off hesitantly.

"Sorry... I shouldn't push ye like that. It's just ye have things ye need to do... and people who'd have great gaping holes in their lives iffin ye disappeared... starting with me... Ye gave my life meaning, Kero... far more than ye can ever imagine. I'm no longer just going through the motions... and it hurts deep inside to see you flailing like that... When I shared my life with you through the gift of my heart, I didn't mean fer ye to be overwhelmed by the things ye felt... I was kind of hoping a lifetime of emotion as a cub in my care would help gloss over the multitude of lives ye had lived before... Didn't happen, huh?"

Tam shrugs without looking at him. "I know... but face it, Kero... yer part of the weave... " He turns his head sideways and grimaces. "We all are... just some of us have more say in the matter than others."

A voice, soft and still somewhat far off calls out. "Mama... mama... where are ye..."

Tam laughs. "Well, got to run... Bez and I are teaching the kids how to track auras... seems they have found me... sort of... I need to keep them guessing for a little bit more." He hands Kerobian two small pieces of ribbon. "If they stop here, give them each a piece, okay. I've got to take off though and plant a few more before they catch up to me... See you around, Kero... and for heavens sake... behave, will ye?" With that he disappears in a shower of glittering lights.

Mara giggles and gives him a hug, while Ari claims their ribbons.

"Daddy didn't say we couldn't work together on it." she explains repeating Mara's actions while her sister ties her own ribbon to a string about her wrist.

The older twin nods with a grin. "I got the better nose for local stuff, Ari seems to be able to get us there with a jump, so she does the long distance zeroing in and I get us to where we're supposed to be afterward. Teamwork!" she cries and Ari nods vigorously in agreement.

Taking her sister's hand, she closes her eyes for a bit then chuckles. "Mama's back at home, but not quite... I think he's on a beach... ye ready?" she asks her sister with a lifted brow.

Mara nods and winks at Kero. "We're going to catch him yet, ye'll see." And then they're gone.

Kero smiles as he watches their journey with a mental eye. Tam had better get a move on or they will do just that. Those two were pretty darn quick.

The girls have come out one one of the island's more isolated beaches, more rock than sand here and quite a few tidal pools.

Lifting her head to the breeze, Mara tries to take a scenting, then with a frown shifts to a rather lithe cat form, an act that surprises Kero. Not quite panther, not quite lion, she seems to be a shape unto herself, night dark like her father and powerfully muscled. Immediately she casts about for some hint of Tam's scent, while Ari perches on a nearby bit of driftwood, waiting.

"Isn't she pretty?" laughs the younger twin as she watches her sister work the beach. "Mama had us find our intrinsic shapes.... her's was that... mine's too big for here." she adds with a tiny frown as Mara strays further and further away.

She grins at him. "Bigger than Em, but he says I won't get any bigger for a long time while he's still growing. Ye should have seen his face."

"A rather large shiny reptile...." she teases with a wink. "Em says I'm pretty, but Daddy says I take up far too much room in the house, so I don't use it often..."
