Ai is laughing, throwing open the window and Bez is trying to crawl off the bed to it, gasping.

"Whatever does he eat?" the panther is moaning, tears flowing from his eyes.

On the bed, completely oblivious to the chaos he's causing, a soundly sleeping Kero stretches out, somehow claiming a good two thirds of the surface.

"Who the heck fed him garlic?" growls Ai testily. Then she does a headsmack. "Myra... that's who. He's been eating up at the temple hasn't he? She got this theory that garlic is good fer yer health and puts it in anything she can get away with."

"Well, that side effect is definitely detrimental." says Bez, giving up trying to get away now that some fresh air is entering in through the open window. "Just don't feed it to him in the winter, unless yer looking for an alternative fuel source. It's already getting rather nippy out."

Hopian shudders. "I agree. Does it get much colder than this, Ai? I'm not so sure Fortuny should stay to give birth here, if it does. It is far warmer back home."

"Temperature wise, probably... but emotionally I think she'll do better here, Hope... and no, this is about as cold as it is going to get for the next few months, though it will get a bit rainy." says Ai with a sad smile.

Both Ai and Hopian advise Bez it would be best to vacate the upper floor for the time being.

Ai shows him where the clothing drawers are and darts downstairs, followed closely by a white shadow. Both of them giggling like school kids.

He finds a pair of pants that fits, but can't seem to put on a shirt with only one arm, so he drapes a spare quilt about his shoulders and heads down stairs, barefooted, to find himself stared at royally by a small tan female cub.

"No socks..." he mutters lamely and she giggles.

"Dats cuz dey awl gots holwes..." she announces and scampers off to the kitchen.

The floor is chilly and he's feeling light headed, so Bez sinks down into Tam's favorite chair and puts his feet up to the fire to keep them warm.

"Bezernia... I am a friend of yer Uncle Tam. Who are you?" he asks, though he already knows her name. "Careful now.... I've only got one good arm right now, don't want to fall, I might not be able to catch ye."

"That is a very pretty name for a very pretty lady...." says Bez with a smile. "What does it mean, do you know?"

"Then maybe he knows... but it is a beautiful name, none the less, no matter the meaning and if it was your grandmother's name... tha makes it special. Where's Ai and your parents anyway? I know I didn't take that long to come down."

Bez sighs. "Could you do me a great big favor, little one. Could you go tell Tam I'm down now, but that I feel a bit dizzy and would like a glass of water. I would really appreciate it if you would."

Salunia hops down immediately and darts to the kitchen, returning a few moments later with Tam in tow. And yes, it is Tam, not Ai, who carries in the glass, with a worried look on his thin lined face.

"Here... where's yer shirt.... and shoes..." grumbles the bard helping Bez to sit more comfortably and handing him the glass.

"Couldn't put it on and where are yer socks... this lovely young lady says they are all full of holes." laughs Bez weakly.

Tam does a headsmack and laughs ruefully. "I've a pair in the darning basket, let me get them fer ye.... and I think ye might be able to wear some of those shirts we modified fer my wings. They wrap about ye and ye don't have to pull them over yer head."

Bez smiles at him and shakes his head. "It's really not too bad down here by the fire and the quilt is warm. I'm fine, dulcha. What are ye up to?"

"We makkin dinna...." pipes up Salunia with an ear splitting grin. "We havin fishies.... Daddy say so."
