"On the fish or on the copy work?" asked Passura as he puts his papers away. He looks up with a thoughtful expression. "Mes'sirrah... How would ye bind these pages? In a book they are all sewn together, but I don't think we can sew these."

*Kero smiles*

Well, you can use a flexible glue, then attach them to a cover. I'm fairly good at doing that myself. I used to be a prolific author, you know.

Passura's eyes widen. "What kind of books did you write, mes'sirrah... and why kind of glue is flexible?"

**yeah... I'm playing dumb here... I did do repair work when I work as a librarian..."

*So Kero describes for him how he bound the books he wrote, all handwritten*

As I wrote, Passura, I also studied. My books are considered encyclopedias of magical knowledge, highly sought after. I have an old, dear friend, still around, who owns a copy of one of my greatest works. On the Magic of the Twelve Elements and the Energies that Power them, sometimes considered one of the greatest of all magical tomes. I wrote about everything, though...chronicles of knowledge for the next Voidmaster or Mistress. Some leave behind money to their successors, and some items and magic. I leave knowledge, and the ways to use it. Would you like to see a book I wrote?

Passura nods eagerly. "Yes, mes'sirrah... I would like that very much."

*So Kero pulls out a small pair of books....How to Prank, and What to Pull...and a black, leather-bound Tome: On the mind, its various general forms, and the healing thereof...Pasa notices it is incomplete...the last pages are blank*

I never finished this....and I give it to you. Perhaps the son, gifted in ways his father cannot know, can finish what he started. These are both yours now, Pasa. Forever.

Passura holds the books in his hands as though they were the most prescious things he has ever seen, Then he surprises Kero with a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, mes'sirrah... I will treasure them always."

*Kero hugs him close, kissing his cheek lightly back*

I know you will, Pasa...I know you will. Now, how are you doing on those fish?

Passura sighs. "I got lots and lots yesterday, but there wasn't as many in the stream today. Bez says that when the rains come he often goes to the sea to fish... but all that water scares me."

*Kero nods*

Then for now, I release you from your punishment. I will expect you to take up full duties again sometime in the future. Unless you wish me to change your punishment right now to something else. I give you that choice.

Pasa shudders openly, but he is also laughing, so Kero knows he is merely being silly. "I'd rather get it over with, mes'sirrah... be easier that way."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:46 pm

*Kero nods*

Fair enough...are you going to fish with Bez, or do you wish to change it? If the latter, what to?

Passura pales at the thought of going fishing out on the sea and asks Kerobian to change the punishment. "I didn't get very far... only caught enough fish to keep us fed for about a week... so I'll do whatever you say, mes'sirrah."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:54 pm

*Kero sighs*

Passura...I don't like decreeing punishments. Eons as Voidmaster have left me harsh when it comes to that. I want you to help me here. How do you think you should be punished?

The boy sighs and shakes his head. "I don't know, mes'sirrah... I... I could always paint yer room... it wouldn't be so dark in there iffin ye let me paint it nice and bright."
