Minty looked up from her book, unsure why the obviously terrible student was being asked these questions."I think DJ M0NST3R is due for a break to hydrate and enjoy himself. We can play a few songs ourselves in the meantime, I think." She grinned back at him, "Besides, I've had enough talking and am ready to dance."
(That is a completely perfect song.)

Giving her a nod and a chuckle as well, Tobias lead them in as near a bee line towards where the music could be played as a few steps and twirls would allow.
"Then so shall I play the song, and a dance you will have. However, it seems after you have some reading to do. That is an impressive amount of books you seemed to have amassed."
Once they were close enough, he paused their movements and turned his attention to getting the song he had in mind to start. With his usual luck for finding a song he wanted, the opening of the song could soon be heard.
"Shall we?"

"Summer reading list. I can't believe how much I've procrastinated." With the opening bars, Minty was glad to leave her books behind for a few minutes to dance with Tobias, "I'm all yours for the next four minutes and forty seconds. Then I'm afraid I'll have to leave you for Homer."
(Minty is going to be so angry when someone reminds her she's not in school anymore.)

Chuckling, he drew her in a little closer than their previous dance.
"Then we should really make this count. Setting out the exact time makes one realize how short the dance will really be."

"Very sneaky. I like it.""Uh...I think like...four or five hours left to go." Minty said sheepishly as she pointedly did not check her watch, intent on focusing on the dance with Tobias. Who would be think about The Odyssey at a time like this anyhow, not anyone who'd seen Tobias with his shirt unbuttoned. That's for sure. "I'm glad you didn't pick a shorter song then." She smiled up at him.
(I don't know where she gets these things. Lies. I totally do. She just gets an idea in her head and somehow makes it reality.)

Minty Andee Minty could not get a read on the Malina. First she seemed so scared, then despondent...and now...what was she doing? She followed Malina to see what she was up to, and maybe keep her out of trouble. Malina's eyes continued to scan the ground on the outskirts of the party. She circled each tent from a few meters away, oblivious to Minty following her. Finally, her eyes seemed to land on something just behind the DJ booth, out of Minty's line of vision. Malina's eyes grew wide and she dashed towards it, stumbling over a pair of discarded heels in her haste.

"That is all I ask!"Minty resisted the urge to rush in and check on Malina when she stumbled. Somehow, the blonde felt that unless Malina was actually in danger it might be better just to watch the woman.

Malina regained her balance, but didn't bother to check if anyone had noticed her stumble, she was too focussed on what lay in front of her.
She had come across a Malina-sized crater in the earth on the fringe of the partying group. The breeze had blown a handful of discarded punch cups into the hole, which she immediately leaned in and tossed out, wrinkling her nose at them. Without anymore hesitation, Malina then jumped into the hole.

Minty arched a brow, seeing Malina's antics. Holes between worlds were seldom so simple. Usually there's a whole story's worth of adventure, romance and usually some type of evil sorcerer. But maybe she'd get lucky? The blonde crossed her fingers for the other woman.

One of the great things about dancing with Minty was that an entire conversation could be going on and not cause either to falter in their dance. They moved about the floor, no real direction, a spin here, twirl there. Then a slow dip where he let her go back at his left, guided her in this dip in a half circle, then brought her back up on his right.
"A promised dance with you would only be fitting to last long enough to fully enjoy. Perhaps there can be another dance when your reading is finished and you have the time."
((Heh, is that how it works? Sounds like quite the impressive power to have. ))
