I could have sworn there were 3 character requests from URL-Length. Did part of the request post get accidentally edited with some information deleted?

Day: 32 Theme: Monkey Finally when I get time to do art...I don't feel like doing it...not really in an arty mood right now, for some weird reason.. sad (Can't wait to make tomorrow's Goldfish themed art! ^_^ Dad got me new scissors, and if I can, I'll try using them for the goldfish theme! whee Of course I won't be doing that frighteningly amazing art demon blurry eyes does. It'll probably be a simple, cut and paste kind of art. sweatdrop )

II Little China DoLL II That is so beautiful!! I LOVE IT!! <33
How do you make them? Like what do you use aside from red paper xD;; Aww thank you. Well I start by sketching a picture, then I'll outline on top of the sketch to decide how to connect the lines. I'll transfer the sketch to the paper using tracing paper (for the harder ones like the shark I scanned the sketch and printed on to the paper) The first 3 or so I used a mix of scissors and scalpel/craft knife but now I just use a knife to cut it out. That's pretty much it. Here's the sketch of the snake one I did, though I ended up winging the scales when it came to cutting it out because I didn't like the ones I drew in the sketch. Q-Bee! That's pretty awesome. Lady Madelina (Can't wait to make tomorrow's Goldfish themed art! ^_^ Dad got me new scissors, and if I can, I'll try using them for the goldfish theme! whee Of course I won't be doing that frighteningly amazing art demon blurry eyes does. Alec Ikiiki I could have sworn there were 3 character requests from URL-Length. Did part of the request post get accidentally edited with some information deleted? Hmm, I still see 3 requests from URL-Length! Maybe it's something on your end? I totally would believe that I messed something up moving around all that BBC code, but I didn't edit the req post at all last night, so it wasn't me! (this time)

Shestval the-muddy well what matters is keeping it up, and practicing at all, it's always better than giving up and doing nothing razz so you're on the right track haha. I've noticed that the more I try, more frequently, the faster and better things come out, except on those iffy days everyone gets haha. Oh yeah, definitely. It's the same for me -- the more studies you do, the faster you get and the better your overall quality gets. I just don't do digital paintings, which is why it would take me so long. xp I also try to use references a fair amount when I'm drawing more seriously, although I saw something recently that recommended drawing without reference sometimes to avoid using references as a crutch, which is also a good idea. Personally, I saw a jump in my skill once I gave up on drawing digitally. It sounds a little counter-intuitive, but it was just not something I enjoyed and drawing was such a chore. Once I embraced working traditionally I began to love drawing again, and I love the results more, and it's just such a more positive experience. So yes, people definitely need to try new things! Even things that aren't cool, like pencil drawings. Because you never know what you will love, and every medium has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. /ramble I totally agree with not using it as a crutch, and yeah, sometimes certain things can be a chore and simply not one's thing, which is totally fine too xD

Day 32: My worst enemy, expectations. My worst enemy is my own expectations for myself. And hands and feet. I can't draw either without great difficulty. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b369/KilalaBlue/Avi art/2013 art/January/Day32_zps3f11b1ff.png
