**the books he's read come from his Daddy's library... do ye really think they would cover that?**

Luciel glares at him. "How the hell would I know? It didn't say anything about that in the books I read. It talked about dragons mating, but it was all rather cut and dry... okay? I've read some romance books which helped me court her a bit, very little actually. But we've been sort of going on instinct, everything we've done so far has been kind of by the seat of our backsides. I'm not going to go peeking in on someone just to see how it's done and she's not shown disappointment in me yet."

By the time he's done, Luciel is glowing a rich coppery red. "No wonder Mama wouldn't tell me... Hlal-son would have though.... she's right. Thanks, Kero. Man, do I feel like a fool... Mama was right about everything... and she didn't even say anything.... How did she do that?"

Kero chuckled as he watched Luciel's eyes. He could almost see the gears turning behind them as the smaller dragon's thoughts turned from embarrassment to consider the possibilities.

"She's a fox and a Lady. Knowing her, she figured ye'd figure things out eventually. And iffin ye didn't she gave ye some good hints to go on... but she wasn't going to go into detail." he says giving himself a stretch. "So... did you really dye the blossoms on Kai's tree pink?"

Luciel grins widely back. "Not just the tree... the entire garden... and hot pink at that. I thought she was going to go through the roof when she saw it. Kev wasn't too happy though... it was their wedding night... figured it would give him something to console her on, but it kind of backfired. She was furious for fdays."

Luciel grins even wider. "So how would ye have done it? How did I mess up... It was a good prank, ye know.... "

"It was just the blossoms... but I did all of them, throughout the entire garden... kind of felt as though I was only going halfway with just the tree. I mean, iffin yer going to do something, do it right.... right?" he asks with a wink.

Twin cries of rage drift up towards the tower.

"I'm going to roast me a dragon." comes a faint snarl, that grows ncreasingly louder as Keva shifts and takes on manticore form.

"Not if he I get first." cries a more feminine voice in a shrill argument.

Luciel cringes. "Damn, no way are they going to believe I didn't do that. I better skeddale it on back home.... Clear this up for me, Kero... I beg of ye, or I might never be allowed to return." With a sigh that dissolves into a giggle, Luciel fades from view, just as an enormous lion's head appears over the side of Kero's balcony. The sound of Keva's claws at they carry him up the wall sends shivers down the spine, like nails across a blackboard.

The manticore follows with a savage growl, leaping into the air, spreading a pair of leathery reptilian wings. This is a new take on the form Keva is so used to taking, that of a greater maticore and he is not used to flying, but he makes it to the ground right on Kero's heels and tries to dig in after him, snarling obscenities as he digs. Well the shape is right, but he's a little frustrated with the coloring right now. Pink doesn't happen to be one of his favorite colors these days.

Well that was one way to fight the insidious pink coloration, but somehow green just doesn't suit him either as coughing and gagging Keva backs out of the tunnel he was digging as fast as he can.

Keveka is the most pitiful sight he has ever seen. Front legs splayed heaving in the grass, his skin mottled green and pink, the manticore looks anything but dangerous, except that darn tail of his which seems to have a life of it's own. I'd avoid it, iffin I were ye. Dripping threatening scorpion tails don't rank high on anyone's list of friendly appendages.
