Ai chuckles softly. "This family just abounds with mystery and talent... "
Bez rolls his eyes at Ai's comment and shakes his head. "Someday we'll explain that comment, until then... let's just say yeah, there's a reason we don't go out into the world with you two very often. All of us have attracted the attention of people who'd love to get their hands on you two... to get to us. I'd rather you be capable of defending yourselves first before you go off to see the world."

Mara relaxes a little and smiles. "That's good because I don't have any magic ability and Ari is a... what did you call her... psyonic... no that isn't right... psionist... no..."
Ari giggles. "Daddy says I'm a telekinetic... I can read minds and moves things with my head. But I'm not very good at reading minds unless the person wants me to."
"That's because everyone here has strong natural screens. But you are young. Psychic skills tend to really blossom during puberty. And you're just entering that stage of life." says Bez gently, giving her a hug. "And Mara, just because you don't seem to have any abilities now doesn't mean you won't develop them later. Like I said, you two are beginning to mature physically and it tends to play havoc on physic skills... I'm not sure about the magical..." he looks at Ai and Kero to see what they say.

Ai gives everyone a twisted smile. "It can... especially with the female sex. Just like psychic talents which are based within the body, magical skills can be affected by fluctuating hormones, but for different reasons. Males don't notice it quite so much, except during puberty, but even then it is more of a gradual rise then fall. For females it's a monthly yoyo. That is why some magic works best at certain times of the onth. As for psychic abilities, they react directly to the hormonal flow in the brain. Certain ones seem to trigger it's appearance better than others. But once you gain control over it, it's yours."
"Yes, teacher..." teases Bez.
"Been there, done that..." answers Ai cryptically. He looks at Kero and smiles thinly. "We both have."

In more ways then one, Ari. My magic is exceedingly hard to master, even for me. As well, it comes at a Price. I'm never permanently an adult.
