I can understand that they want me to clean. It's a typcially parent mindset. However, my mom's the one who's a**l about cleaning and yet she's the one who smokes. I mean, I don't clean as often as I used to when I was younger. Now, I just don't care what my room likes until I'm sick of looking at it myself and I do something about it.
And yes, the trashcan was from the bathroom.
Now, for those of you who know what my rooms looks like, I have a bunch of bulky furniture that can easily be moved back from the wall. Overall, doing that every week is such a hassle when I have other things I'd could rather be doing than clean.
It's all very annoying, really, through a teeanger's eyes.
And then, get this! They pull the, "Until you're out on your own and can pay your own bills, you have to abide by our rules." Which is stupid. Once I'm 18, I swear, I'm moving in with either my grandmother or aunt.

I understand that line... but only if they're being REASONABLE. I mean yeah I'll follow your rules but seriously be reasonable about things. Great thing about being 23 though... me and my parents compromise rules a lot more now 3nodding

My mom hardly ever sees my room, so I don't think she'd care whether it was clean or not. It pretty much always is, though. I'm somewhat of a neat-freak.

My house, my rules.
So true. ;D
When you do a lot of the chores though or help out, it becomes our house, our rules.
