The mechanic turned a deep shade of red, but made no comment. He gently scooped the knight into his arms.
"Th-Thank you..." he said quietly & would follow the two women.

"Ah, I can walk just fine! I'm merely a little light-headed, is all. You don't need to carry me..." Talbot said, flustered as his face grew a darker shade of red."Better to be safe." the older of the two ladies responded to Talbot as she followed her younger companion.

"It-It's okay..." he said quietly to Talbot. He continued to follow the pair to their destination quietly. Arron was afraid of saying something that would be considered suspicious.

The group eventually got to the infirmary. It was a small shoe-store that had been cleared for the use of treating the injured, and there were quite a lot of people inside on make-shift beds. The two of them were led to an open spot on the floor, and a man dressed in black doctor's clothes approached them.
"What seems to be the issue?" he asked. There wasn't a spot of visible blood on him anywhere, nor anywhere on the patients. It seemed that mages were in charge of healing the injured here, just as it was back in the white kingdom.

Arron knelt & so he could set his friend in the open area. He looked up at the mage.
"His sh-shoulder was h-hurt fairly b-badly..." he replied.

The doctor simply nodded, then was careful to begin removing some of Talbot's clothes carefully to get a better look at the injury.Talbot frowned, trying to ignore his uneasy feelings as the doctor looked him over. He tried to keep in mind that he was being looked over for medical reasons and nothing else."I had my doubts about you both, but this wound is definitely from a White Kingdom blade, so I don't see a reason to mistrust you. Though you'll definitely be competition for the affection of the ladies." the doctor noted with a sigh before getting to work on healing the wound. Talbot was a little thrown off by this, but kept his thoughts to himself. It truly seemed like there was a general humour among this kingdom, compared to his own.

What the healer said about his friend being competition for the affection of women of the kingdom made him crack a small smile. Arron was starting to like the people of the kingdom. They seemed more at ease. "Th-Thank you Sir." he said quietly.

"You're all done. Be easy on it though. I resealed it, but there's a limit to how deep my power can seal an injury. Rest until at least a day has passed before going back to battle." the man stated before changing his gloves and tossing away the old ones."Thank you very much, sir." Talbot said quietly, feeling much better. He stood and replaced his clothes back to their proper places, taking note of the slightly damp parts that had soaked in his blood. He then turned his attention to Arron when the doctor had made his way to a new patient before softly saying,
"I'm sorry for the detour... but I feel well enough to continue walking. I caught a glimpse of the main palace, and a possible entrance. We can speak to our king and queen there." he added the last part just in case anyone was listening in.

"H-Hey, it's alright..." Arron replied to the knight, "Let's g-get going before wh-what the doctor said about th-the wo-women here comes tr-true though..." He would follow Talbot more closely.

"Ah, so long as we're together, it seems we're assumed to be a couple, so I doubt that will pose much of a problem..." Talbot muttered, red in the cheeks yet again as he made his way over to the way they'd come in. It wasn't long before they'd made it to the entrance the knight mentioned. It was tall and imposing, and two guards stood outside of it. Their bright golden eyes stared daggers at Arron and Talbot as the two approached, and Talbot cleared his throat.
"We'd... like to request an audience with the king and queen..." he spoke, trying to force himself to speak more loudly than he was used to."What business do you have to discuss?" the guard on the left inquired, hands both tightly grasping her axe."I believe that would be better left between the king and queen and the two of us." Talbot responded. He was unsure of what to tell her otherwise.

Arron glanced at Talbot. "We have... a report on the whereabouts of the-the crystal cr-creature that was on the b-battlefield." lied the mechanic, hoping that would be enough to let them pass.

Talbot tried not to look surprised when Arron said that, but it completely threw him off. He worried if his friend truly meant to out himself, or if this was the bluff he was using to get them through.The guard looked unimpressed, then looked to the other guard who shrugged.
"We haven't heard anything about a crystal creature. When did this so called creature appear?" she questioned. She was treating the two of them like pranksters, and merely humouring them.

Upon hearing that the guards had not heard about the battle. "It-It was during the previous b-battle with the White Kingdom... It-It attacked a lot of soldiers Ma'am." he explained. Arron was not planning on outing himself, but was hoping the news would be enough to let them have a safe passage to the king & queen."

"And what kind of crystal was it? Was it sparkly?" the woman asked, snickering. Her smile vanished when another soldier that was nearby approached and handed her a letter, which she quickly read over. She nodded to the soldier, then nodded to her fellow guard, and the two of them opened the door without another word."Ah... thank you..." Talbot said quietly, then made his way inside and into a long, dark hallway.

Arron followed Talbot quietly after muttering, "Shut it."
