averus think for a bit... ummm yeah... out behind the stables... if we ask the stable master i think he'll let us make one there.. and there's wood nearby as well... we won't have to haul it far at all....

apparently the stable master is fond of roasted marshmallows and he also is well acquainted with the tactic of sending in the cute little girl to charm the grumpy old man trick... he looks about sees the boys peeking around the edge of the stable doors and motions them forward.... a small fire is fine.. he says... but i want ye to have an adult with ye... understand... he looks about and sees no adult, then winks... hmmm no adult... guess i'm nominated then...

the stablemaster elps luna build a small compact fire, then rolls several unsplit logs over to it for seats... by the time averus and l. kero return the fire is burning merrily....

the stable master sits back and starts telling the kids tales of the realm... of some of tam's exploits... and keva's pranks and how shia loved animals so much that they once found an elephant in her room.....

the stable master nods wisely... oh she got in trouble alright... but i honestly think that the man eating plant she ordered from africa was a bit more troublesome than that... they had me scouring the countryside for critters to feed it.... and she did that with permission... he shakes his head sadly... wondering where the kids of the day were going with their foolishness.....

well... keva's pranks more often than not involve food... there was this time when the mistress threw this big party see and all sorts of important people were here... of course they all brought their youngsters with them and that was just fine... but around the youngun's bedtimes keva decided he wanted more punch... so he snuck downstairs and hid under the table.. running a straw up and into the bowl... so he could drink it without being caught... only problem was... tam has spiked the punch for the grownups... not sure what he put in it... but everyone was having a really good time when all of a sudden they could hear this voice see... a singing under the table... as drunk as can be... and very off key... let's just say... he didn't feel too good the next day... in fact he felt so bad that the Lady decided to forgo the punsihment whe was going to give him... never seen a green fox before.. but that day,,, keva was very very green

the stable master shakes his head... ye know i really don't know... but i've never seen the lady lift her hand to any of her children.... ever... still they listen to her quite well... and some of her punishments when they don't listen are something to behold... keva and shia both had to scrub the cobblestones in the courtyard once because the thought tripping a servant who was carring a large pail of soapy water was funny... and she made them do it with tooth brushes...
