"Bah." the guy responded, shaking his head and turning back to face the other soldiers entering.Talbot continued to walk forward, deeper into the kingdom. He kept his head low in case anyone tried to recognize him.

From then on out, Arron would hunker down the best he could to avoid being noticed by anyone. "Th-That's a-a really old j-joke..." he whispered to Talbot.

"The people here seem to be in good spirits, regardless." Talbot responded, enjoying the decently welcoming atmosphere. People seemed to be living relatively happy lives, by outer appearances. The knight looked around, wondering how they would get an audience with the king and queen without raising suspicion. "If you see a heavily guarded door, please alert me." he said quietly to Arron.

Arron used his height to his advantage & looked around for any heavily guarded area. He assumed that the entrance to castle halls would be near the middle of the town, but was not sure.

It was a very busy day in the kingdom, so it would be difficult to choose any one area that had a lot of people. Talbot grabbed Arron's shoulder with his good arm, then stopped walking and stood to the side, near a wall.
"Sorry... could we stop for a second? I'm getting a little dizzy." he said quietly.

He nodded with a concerned expression on his face. "T-Take all the time you need..." he said quietly, "I'll see if I can g-get some w-water if y-you want." Arron knew his friend was putting on a brave face to try & block out any pain.

"My apologies... I hadn't realized how much everything had started to spin before my legs felt they were about to give out." he said quietly, leaning back on a wall a little and take a few calm, deep breaths.

"Hey... N-No need to-to apologize..." he said quietly, "Y-You're hurt & sh-should take it easy... I-I'll go find y-you some water... Wait right here." The mechanic was looking for any place that Arron could purchase or fill up a canteen with potable water.

The sound of running water wasn't far, though barely noticable through the socializing people of the kingdom. A community fountain was just around the corner from where they were, and a few people drank from it with their own cups or bowls.

It took some time, but he eventually found the fountain. Arron quickly made his way to it. dipping his canteen from the trip into the cool water. He quickly filled it up.

From where he was standing, Arron would be able to see that two women in armor had approached Talbot, and were speaking to him briefly before they began to lead him somewhere.

Arron went white as a sheet when he saw Talbot being led away. He hurried back as fast as his long legs could take him. He felt very stupid for leaving his friend behind.
"St-Stop!" he yelled out of fear.

The two ladies stopped, and Talbot smiled awkwardly.
"Ah, it's all right! He's a friend of mine." he said quietly, "I tried to tell them that it was fine, but they insisted on taking me to their infirmary when they saw I was injured." Talbot explained to Arron, hoping he would understand that these people weren't onto the two of them, but just wanted to get him medical help.

"My-My apologies for yelling... I-I was afraid I-I was going to be left behind from my-my companion." he said quietly, "I-I'll accompany y-you to-to the infirmary."

"My-My apologies for yelling... I-I was afraid I-I was going to be left behind from my-my companion." he said quietly, "I-I'll accompany y-you to-to the infirmary."
"We would've waited a little longer if we knew he had a boyfriend. You can carry him yourself, we'll lead the way." she said, while the other looked at her in question."Shouldn't they know where the infirmary is? He can carry him there by himself." she questioned, raising and eyebrow."We had to convert a shop into another infirmary. That last battle hurt a lot of people." the other replied, shoving Talbot at Arron."Ah, sorry..." Talbot mumbled, blushing. He wasn't sure if he should argue against them being a couple, or simply avoid conflict and pretend like he didn't hear it.
