"Iffin I promise to try and make ye feel special... will ye take me back?" asks Bez softly nuzzling him gently.

"There's more to it that that..." grumbles Tam with a sigh.

"I know... and all I can say to the rest is I'll try... I can't make promises I won't keep... I really am sorry for using ye like I did... and that is one promise I won't ever break to ye again.... I won't let it happen... not with me or anyone else... Never... I'll die ere I let it happen." says Bez defiantly.

Tam turns to face him and touches his chin with his paw. "Hush, dulcha... I'd rather not speak of dying right now. "

Bez looks at him and sighs. "I love ye, Ai.... always have. It mattered not to me we were bound... and matters less even now. It is you I love... no other... "

Tam drops his head and gives a dry harsh laugh. "I know... I've always known... that's why I held out fer so long... hoping ye'd come to yer senses."

"Then someone came along ye didn't have to wait for... someone who loved ye as ye were, faults and all... I know... that's why I was so envious for the longest time... but he can't give ye what ye need and I'm here now, love and I'm not going away... I... I don't care what road ye chose right now. I'm here. For you... always..."

Bez..." whispers Tam through a voice choked with tears. "I'm scared..."

"So am I... care to be scared together?"

So they miss Tam's sudden transformation. There's a flash of bright light and a loud crash, followed by Tam laughing hysterically and Bez swearing a blue streak. When they turn they see this enormous white griffin or what appears to be a griffin, sitting onto of the black panther in the middle of a collapsed bed.

"Off... off... get off me..." grumbles Bez, trying not to laugh. "Damn, yer heavy.... "

Tam steps free of the mess and nudges her mate to his feet. "Sorry... it felt like a dam broke... then suddenly... well..." she looks up at Shar and grins sheepishly, or rather it appears she grins sheepishly. It's hard to tell with her beak. "I expect I owe ye a bed, Dawnmistress."

Shar shakes her head and sits down hard. "Yer huge.... how are we ever going to get ye out of here?" she groans lifting her hands in dismay.

Ai looks down at her feet and shrugs. "Give me a few minutes to get my act together, my dear... I think with Bez's help, I can assume another shape, but not quick as immediately..."

Shar looks up at him and laughs, though she also looks more stressed out and about to cry than amused. "Look at the size of him... her.. whatever... then look at the door?"

She screams and dives for her office and nothing anyone says brings her back out. Tam tries to stick his head through the door only to get a pillow in the face.

"I think she's afraid of snakes..." he quips grinning from ear to ear.

Tam shakes his head. "The size part doesn't seem to matter, Kero... though that probably made it worse..."

She peeks out slowly. "It... it's gone... truly? Ye won't do that again?" she begs in a quivering voice.

"Hey, Kero... think ye can fix this bed?" asks Ai with a thoughtful frown. "Ye were always pretty good at putting back together the stuff we broke as cubs."

"Thank you, old friend. I'm terrible at carpentry..." says Ai with a smile. She reaches into Shar's study and gently pushes Shar into the clinic with her beak. "Dawnmistress. If I understand things as they stand, he's not got much time left... Still, perhaps ye'd like to meet Kerobian, as I've known him f rom time to time and not in the shape of a cub... though truth be told, we were known from causing quite a few gray hairs together as such." He gently urges her to approach Kerobian and follows her across the room. ""How much time do you have left, dulcha... and what did you do with Tes? Surely she hasn't taken off on ye already?"
