The next morning a storm rolls in and Ari is grouchy. Seems she has a slight touch of weather talent, more of a sensitivity than true working ability.
Breakfast is a subdued affair. No sundials being made today, though Bez does tell Mara that they could design one together on the kitchen table, using Kero's diagrams. Putting it together in the garden on a sunny day.

*Kero nods, looking at Ari*
If you want, I think we can dispense with us going off to meditate...you seem in control of your powers now. And I did promise to teach Mara as well. So what say you, Mara...wish you to meditate with me, or to design a Sindial?

"Sindial???" says Mara in confusion. "I thought we were making sundials?"
"We are, Kitten." says Bez with a smile. "Kero merely had a bit of a freudian slip..."
"What's that?" asks Ari, intrigued.
Ai chuckles. "That's when you mean one thing but something else slips out... there was this man once who claimed that when we made those mistakes, it was our subconscious trying to come forward... His name was Freud."

*Kero nods, lost in thought now, playing with an illusory item, a stone, making adjustments to a kind of shifting weave about it*

*Kero seems to ignore her, focused on his work, until*
Creating a Sindial.
*He says, focusing entirely on the spellweave in front of him*

"But I wanted to make one with my own hands...." cries Mara, hurt. She runs form the room and a door can be heard slamming shut in the back of the caves.

Ai sighs. "I think she thought you were making the sundail with your magic... and she wanted to make it the old fashion way, with her own two hands."
Ari nods. "Sheesh, I've not seen her this upset before. What's wrong with her, Mama?"

*Kero sighs*
Sorry...I was working on an invention...the idea of an item that could allow me to judge great amount of sin would help streamline the sorting process.
*Gently goes and knocks on Mara's door*

The door slowly opens to reveal Mara's face, a match for the skies overhead. "What do you want?" she asks defensively.

She starts to shut the door, then thinks better of it. "Because you were showing off again... It made me mad..." she replies tersely. "I wanted to make that sundial and there you were sitting there pulling one from thin air. Daddy says magic is well and good but it really doesn't fill the stomach. Hard work is better, but all you do is throw it around like it's... it's.... the cat's pajamas..." she grumbles coming up with one of the most lamest descriptions she's ever heard of.
"Cat's pajamas.." echoes Kero in confusion.
She giggles slightly. "Sounded stupid, huh... sorry. But I'm serious Kero. Have you ever thought about how having someone rub magic in your face when you don't have any feels?"
