Bez sighs. "Tam I've seen ye be friends with baby dragons, tiny lions, and all sorts of foxes and wolves.... but this one, no, I haven't... forgive me, but I just don't remember him. And yes wraith is a good word fer ye, sirrah. But how is what ye are good fer this sort of thing?" he grumbles testily.
Tam stares at him. "Ye've seen me with dragons and lions... before now, I mean?"
Bez nods sadly. "Ye always looked like ye were having a lot of fun, so I stayed away."

I never knew it either, Talesian...and I watched as well, as many lionesses came to my brother, but never to me. But you know what? I'm still deliriously happy wth my one true love...because I know she will always love me. Kero and Tes are deeply in love, and probably always will be...but there is a chance that their love will sour and fade. Mine never will...mine cannot. And neither can yours. That is True Love, Talesian...Love which will never fade, and which is given unconditionally to help another. Perhaps it helps the giver too, but the intention is to help the receiver...

I haven't been the best of partners, always watching from the shadows, never near, always far... but if ye weren't there for me to check on, to assure myself you were whole, I'd go far madder than Veritu.... and I'd fear for any who'd cross my path. Mayhaps the reason I never fell any further than I have is that I had ye to keep me whole.... no matter the distance we had between us." says Bez in a voice barely above a whisper, so charged with emotion, it takes Kerobian back and makes Hopian look away.
