*Laughing, Kero pulls away from Tes, ignoring the fake pout she puts on*
Save the faking for deceiving the animals, Kechara....now, what did you have to say to us, Ame? Sira?

Tam looks to Amestru. "It your field of expertise, Da. You tell them."
The wolf nods and after thinking for a tiny bit, getting his thoughts in order, he carefully curls his tail about him and eyes them both. "Kero... do you know what happens to those souls that don't make it to your realm for judgment?"

*Kero nods*
Some don't need judgement...they are pulled up or down by their own merits. Some are held by other creatures, used to increase their power. Some simply disintegrate, as they did not believe in an afterlife. Why does that apply to me?

"Aye... to some they are as food to fuel their sordid desires, to others they are to be feared... most, in all honesty, fade into nothingness... but to the kitsune, they are the building blocks of continuity. Kitsune and the other kami do pair with their partners, this is so very true... we enjoy and look forward to those sharings... but these pairings are as sterile as you would have us to believe you, yourself, to be... for although we choose to manifest ourselves as physical beings, we are indeed merely spirits... and yet, we have children... how is this so?" He smiles at Kerobian encouraging him to ask.

Amestru sighs. "Where's your sense of adventure... honestly, mage..." Then he chuckles. "Actually... it's not a state secret, but we don't go bandying it about either. We call a soul to serve as a child... from a very particular segment of lost souls."

*Kero smiles*
Let me guess. Those few souls whom I relegate to Elysium, or those who lived their lives in balance? Or merely those who were creative in their own rights, or who believed in the unseen world.

Amestru sighs and shakes his head. "Nay, Kerobian, we require a young soul, unmarked by any form of physical learning. Children who have died within the womb... children who would never come before you, having lived no life to be judged on."

The unborn. I know of only three destinations for them...and one I work tirelessly to prevent. They either get a free pass to Paradise, or they sink back into nothingness. I had wondered who was helping me in my efforts...and I thank you for it.

Amestru sighs. "In truth, we can only rescue a few of them. Bringing forth one such soul and raising it into adulthood is as tiring for us as it would have been for any living parent... and in the end they never pass before ye. Once we've placed our mark on them, they become as we are. Long living entities who are, sadly, without a soul to save."

I know, but at least you give them a chance at life. What does all this have to do with Me and Tes? *Pulls the aforementioned draconic into a hug*
**That ought to creep some people out on facebook...I said I just got drenched in a solution of NaH(CO3)2 and Hydrogen Hydroxide....let's see how many people get it**

"Well... there is nothing keeping you and Tes from doing much the same." says Tam quietly eying them both. "When two kitsune feel that they wish to start a family they often times just go out and adopt someone... usually someone who is in need of help... uh... like me..."
Amestru nods. "But sometimes, one or the other of the pair gets a longing for a true family... sometimes it hits both of them and well it is good to have something we can call on for that longing... we call it a summoning... though in truth it is more of a calling for a very specific type of soul. Lyssie and I wanted young ones who were adventuresome and honorable in nature. I also wanted gentle souls, as I wanted children who would grow up caring for others more than their selves."

I...I'll think about it....*His ear is suddenly captured by his mate, who speaks into it quite tersely, then shakes him up a bit*...Okay...Okay...you win...you win....*Tears his ear free*...I think we should wait, though, until other things quiet down...in the meantime, beloved, I think it's time for something....*Kisses her...with all his intentions blatantly obvious*

Amestru chuckles wisely and disappears, leaving Tam alone with the couple and both of his cubs. Sighing he tells the two to take it to the forest as he doesn't feel like waking the girls just yet. Then ignoring them, he drops his head to his paws and joins his girls in dream land.

*The two take it to the forest, and Kero emerges the next morning...changed a little for the better....calmer...less troubled....it's so nice to have a mate who happens to be your tamer as well*
