"Then I'll certainly let you in. I believe it's polite to be kind to the elderly.... no that isn't right." Talbot had to think about it a second more. "Ah! Who's there?"

The young man laughed & said, "I-I didn't know y-you could yodel!" he said. Arron hoped that Talbot would understand the joke/

"...um...hm..." Talbot shook his head again, until he realized what he was actually supposed to say. "Oh! Because I was meant to say 'little old lady who'! Aha! I get it!" he smiled.

He chuckled. Once the wound was dressed again, Arron sat down & leaned back in the grass, staring at the sky. He had a small frown on his face. The mechanic was thinking of home.

"Ah, I'm sorry I ruined your joke, Arron. You can tell it again, if you like. I'll be sure to respond correctly this time." Talbot misconstrued Arron's frown when he noticed it. "Or I could tell a joke to make up for it, though I don't know many..."

He blinked. "Oh-Oh, I-I'm not up-upset about that..." he said, "I-I was a-a little homesick." The young man smiled at his friend.

"Oh. I understand. Is there anything I can do to help?" Talbot frowned, wanting to make his friend feel less homesick, though he was unsure how to do so. There weren't times when he felt that way, as he'd not had a memory of his home for the longest time.

Arron reached into his pocket & pulled out what appeared to be two pieces of wrapped hard candy. He offered one to the knight. "Th-This helps me wh-when I' feeling homesick..." he said quietly, "W-Watch out the c-candy makes y-your mouth sm-smoke." He demonstrated by unwrapping his piece & popping it into his mouth. His mouth & nostrils began to emit a white vapor.

Talbot chuckled, not expecting to see such a sight. "You might confuse someone if you ate these in town. Or they would assume someone has made you mad enough to cause smoke to come from your nostrils." he tried the piece he was given with a gracious bow of his head, then chuckled again when vapour escaped him as well.Atticus let out a groan, finding his companions rather childish before rolling onto his side.

The groan from the lion made Arron pout. "H-Hey, we're allowed to-to have some f-fun to relax!" he said throwing the wrapper at the beast. It did not get very far from the young man's hand.

Atticus rolled onto his back and pawed at the sky, grumbling and imitating the two of them a little.Talbot chuckled and started to rub Atticus's belly. "You're particularly sassy today, sir Atticus."

Arron just laughed as he relaxed. It felt good to do so after their trying time in the knight's home kingdom. "I-I hope we get there soon..." he said, "I-I want to see wh-what the Black K-Kingdom is l-like..."

"I'd like to see that as well. I've only seen soldiers in battle, never in their home kingdom. It may be strange at first, but I don't see them as enemies." he nodded, "I've only ever thought of the black kingdom as fellow warriors I've been forced to fight due to unfortunate circumstances."

He nodded, understanding. "S-Soldiers are p-people. Th-They have families fr-friends... l-loved ones... Th-The only difference is wh-where they are from." he said quietly.

"And that's why it's important to end this war. And we will..." he nodded, determined. "One way or another, I'm certain we'll be able to bring this blood-shed to its end. We can not be the only ones that feel this way about it."
