*Kero downs it, and curls up....and Shar and Hope are knocked to their feet by a blast of nukmbingly cold magical energy...whirling around...coiling...seeking....until it pulls inward, revealing Kero sitting there...the familiar grey in his eyes again*
I'm back...not for long...but for long enough. Where is the patient, Hope?

"In the clinic proper, curled up with his mate, though the way he's been talking they won't be sharing much beyond a bit of space for long... Tam is withdrawing.... emotionally I think from just about everyone...." says Hopian sadly. "I can't say I like Bez, but funny thing is, the more I get to know him, the more balance and noble he truly seems to be.... maybe he's clouding my vision, but no alarms are going off."

"Hopian shakes his head and points with his tail to the tiny red lion curled up at the panther's side. "That's Tam, the other one's Bez, Ai attacked him for threatening Kero... though he claims he wasn't serious.... just wanted to stop something he didn't think should happen."

It is sad, really the things he sees, Tam going through life always in the middle of things but never truly connected. living off the emotions of others yet never truly forming his own, until he takes on the task of raising him into adulthood. Never truly knowing what it was he was missing yet longing it for it with all his heart. Broken and patched, but never truly mended since the war that had separated him from Bezernia.

Then as he examines the latest memories it hits him. Ai's budding emotions, her youthful puppy love, combined with Kero's need was the underlying cause of this last fiasco. Perhaps, being needed, truly needed by someone he loved was what Tam truly needed. Love with no outlet was stiffled at best and suffocating at it's worse.

He needs to be needed. That is his problem. He is love, pure and simple...and love without someone needing you is pointless...

Hpian and Shar both look at the sleeping panther, who is beginning to stir what with all the talking going on around them.
"Bez..." they say in eager unison.
"Huh... huh... what... what's wrong... Ai!...." he gasps looking down at the smaller lion, then sighing with relief. "Dang, don't frighten me like that. What do ye people want anyway. Oh, hi brat.... wait.... ye look like him but ye ain't... who the hell are ye?"
