"I find it strange how humans seem to notice something's wrong, yet all they do is just stand there and let it happen." Alex tightened his hand into a semi-fist, not really looking anywhere but in front of him. "All it takes is one person to actually try and help. Even if it wasn't successful, they at least tried. That's all anyone should actually try to do when they see trouble." He took a deep breath, keeping himself from losing control of his temper and shut his eyes. "After I was abandoned, I wandered around, not really knowing where I was going, or how long I was walking. Probably would have died if Tohru hadn't even come along."
Tohru was standing by the door, just listening, really. He was also smiling a bit to himself. Sure, he could unlock the door pretty easily. But why open it when Alex was finally confiding in someone else for a change. Sasha had gone onto the balcony again and was messing around with her powers, and Tohru decided on heading downstairs and into the living room, where he sat on the couch, hands behind his head, and staring up at the ceiling.

Shin looked at his friend watching him struggle with things, keeping quiet as he let the boy talk "So, tohru came along and saved you...heh..knew I liked the guy for some reason, not just cause hes funny" shin said smiling a little "Me and the other kids..all sorta depended on each other, for basic survival, most of the things we did involved stealing but there were some of the kids, the older ones they worked kept us from being hungry" he said smiling "Thas how I met enzai acctualy..he was another one of the kids there, even though he was young he caried himself well. Ill always hate the guy, but we all sorta depended on him and the others at the time"

"Heh. Somehow, that explains why the brat's so foul, even if just a little bit," Alex said. He opened his eyes a little, still not really looking at anything. "I wish I knew what I did wrong. . .to make my parents hate me like that."

"You didnt do anything wrong lex, it was them who did something wrong. No one should ever throw a kid away, no matter what theyve done, thats just not right." shin said glancing at the window. "Trust me...you didnt do anything to deserve what happend to you..dont ever think that you did because thats self destructive" shin said smiling at his friend "Your parents were just screw ups is all, didnt know a good thing when they had it"

((Wouldn't Enzai be Tohru's age if he lived? oO; ))"They had to have something they hated." Alex sighed and shrugged before getting up of the bed. "Ah, well. What can you do?" He stretched a little bit before heading to the door and opening it. "You could have opened it from the outside, you know that, right?"

Shin laughed "Cant do anything about it lex" shin said smiling as he watched his friend "Yeah I knew about it, I just wanted to be sneaky is all, heh try something fun like going in through your window" he said getting off the bed "It made me feel happy and gave me a chance to use my powers, even if there wasnt any point to it" the boy said sticking his toung out at alex.

"I honestly have to wonder what I like about you," Alex said, shaking his head and walking out of the room towards the balcony. Right now, he honestly didn't feel like staying down. If he had his way, he'd probably be out of the house and exploring.

"Ya like me cause im fun lex" shin said following his friend out to the balcony "Hey, hey, you wanna go out and do something dont you?" the boy asked staring at his friend "Well guess what, im givin you a get out of jail free card...heh...You can take off for awhile, no worries about me following you either" shin said smiling, he wanted to get home for awhile, see if hed goten any more letters from yuki.

"Well, I'm not one to just stay indoors," Alex shrugged as he felt the fresh air. "I think I'll accept your offer. Not that I'm not grateful for a home, but I just really hate staying in one for too long for some reason."

Shin smirked at the boy "Go play lex and go have some fun kay? Weve sorta been mother henning you this whole time, and you must be sick of it. I know how you feel though, when your stuck in some place to long it gets to feel like a cage, so you gotta go do something or youl go nuts" the boy said jumping down from the balcony "If you need me Ill be at my house kay lex" he said smiling as he started off.

Alex waved as he watched Shin leave, glad that he wasn't going to be forced to stay in again. Now all he needed to do was get past Tohru. He grinned as he went back inside and downstairs, heading towards the front door. Sasha was resting on the balcony, and Tohru was sleeping in the living room. Glad for this moment, he walked out of the house and into the sun, relieved that he could be outdoors again, and set off for some freedom.

Day 17. . .wowie! We're gonna need a recap, soon. Tohru stretched before settling back into the couch he was lying on; today, he was wearing simple jeans and a blue shirt, not feeling the need to dress up that much right now. Right now, he was worried, very worried. It had been a week, yes. But he hadn't the faintest idea of what to do. Alex hadn't returned, and he was worried, very worried. Though he knew the boy could take care of himself, he couldn't help but worry, especially since he was still a bit ill.
Tohru stood up and headed out the back door of the kitchen, standing in the garden and leaning on the house and looking up at the sky, singing a little to himself. "Mayottara me o toji tomatte shimatta jikan no naka de
Mau wane tsukamae tsuyoku mikitte iyou. . ." Maybe he worried too much? After all, Alex was an adult already. And even if he was in trouble, he would manage. If he didn't, then he had friends to help.
"You sing really nice, you know that?" Sasha asked as she floated in front of Tohru in her transformed state, standing on a little floating amount of water in the air.
"Don't do that," Tohru said shakily; he had jumped a little violently after realizing the girl was standing there.
"Then don't space out. Simple as that." Sasha landed gently on the ground and stood in front of Tohru, looking up at him curiously. "So what's wrong? You seem a little troubled."
"Oh, nothing, really. Just worrying about the usual." Tohru sighed and sat down on the ground. "And I can't decide if I should go after him or not."
Sasha tilted her head, understanding what he meant by 'him.' "I could find him easily if you're that worried. It wouldn't be a huge deal."
"And how, exactly, can you do that?"
"Se-cr-et!" Sasha answered in a happy way. She smiled happily and innocently, making Tohru as confused as ever. "I'll just go into my room and find him, then." With that said, she changed back to normal and walked into the house, not sparing another glance to Tohru as she went straight up into her room. Once there, she pretyt much collapsed onto the bed, but reluctantly sat up as she created a small, mirror-like thing in the air. "Alright then. time to locate a brother."
Tohru continued his singing, keeping the beat of the song in mind; it wasn't something he had made up, but he felt fine just being able to sing, especially since he was starting to stress himself out. Sometimes, Sasha was a lot like Alex. Though that was probably only because the two had lived together for a while. He still wasn't 100% used to the idea what they could use certain elements at will, but he didn't mind so much; at least they were using them for the right reasons, much unlike a certain bat-winged demon.
As she concentrated, she felt a small pang of guilt. It was, after all, her fault that Alex even had powers in the first place. She had just realized this a while ago, yet she still felt responsible. Yet in the end, he managed quite well. Sasha's mirror glowed brightly and she looked at it before smiling, pleased with herself as she made it disappear and walked out of her room, down the stairs, and out of the house, only calling through the house, "I'll be back later."
Tohru listened as Sasha left the house, staying still for another minute before getting up and walking inside to get a cup of water, deciding he'd stop worrying for now and just relax for today.

Sasha arrived at the house, opening the front door and glad that it was unlocked. As she walked in, nobody was there at first. "I'm back!" she called, taking off her shoes and heading into the house, going upstairs and finding Tohru on the balcony. "Hi!"
Tohru smiled warmly. "Welcome back. So what did you go out and do?" he asked; he had immediately stopped singing once the girl arrived, still not really comfortable about the idea of singing in front of anyone.
"I went out and found Alex! He's alright, by the way. Tried to get him back, but he refused. Then Shin came, and we talked for a little. Then finally, I left so that the two could be alone. 'Cause I'm sure they missed each other." She said all this in one breath, and took a minute to catch her breath again before walking over to Tohru and giving the man a big hug.
"Well, that's good. And what're you so happy ab--" Tohru cut off his sentence when he felt something wet on his shirt front, looking down at Sasha and noting she was crying. "Hey, hey! What's wrong?"
Sasha hiccuped and looked up at Tohru with tears still streaming. "I think I did something really bad. And I'm not sure how to fix it," she said before burying her face in Tohru's chest and crying harder still. She knew exactly why Alex was suffering, and she couldn't do a thing about it. And this hurt. It hurt a lot.
Tohru sighed, leading Sasha over to one of the chairs that was nearby and sitting down on it so that he was at eye-level with Sasha. "Do you wanna tell me what happened?"
Sasha shook her head instantly before sitting on the ground, trying to wipe away the flowing tears.
Tohru sighed before patting Sasha on the head. "Well, whatever it is, I'm sure you can find a way to fix it. No problem in this world is unsolvable. Everything has its solutions. You get what I'm saying?" When the girl nodded, he gave her a smile. "Alright then. Go and wash your face, and I'll make dinner in a few."
Sasha nodded, wiping away a final tear before heading back into the house and into the bathroom, turning on the water and washing her face. She dried it with her towel, looking at herself in the mirror before smiling. "Yeah. I'm sure he'll be fine! I mean, Alex has pretty much gotten out of anything!" She remembered how he'd been near death, how the sudden awakening of his powers had saved him. She laughed a little, setting her towel down on the counter again then walking out and heading to her room.
Tohru had to laugh as he watched Sasha leave, staying there for a moment before getting up and heading inside himself, passing the two bedrooms and heading downstairs into the kitchen, getting out dried spaghetti and a pot filled with water, which he immediately began to heat up.

Shin kept up with alex wishing the boy would speak, say something anything..he didn like it when the boy was dead silent like this, he knew alex had to be hurting, very deeply, yuri was his everything, the only one who knew how to keep alex togeather, for enzai to go after her...that was beyond cruel.

Alex walked up to the front door, opening it up and walking inside, leading the way to his room. It was taking everything he had not to break down right now; he knew that Yuri probably wouldn't have liked it.
Tohru had set the table and was ready to call Sasha when he glanced Alex walking past. He was going to say welcome back, but something told him that just wasn't the best thing right now, feeling the sudden tension. "Do I even want to know?" he asked himself, shrugging as he leaned on the door frame.
