Oh, they did that for my grandpa, too. Only someone warned me to cover my ears. It was still really loud, though.

I've never experienced the gun salute before but I've seen it on the telly. What does it look like IRL?

I can't remember specifically, from when I saw it. It was five years ago.
I know that there was a lot of guys in uniforms shooting guns, and they folded a big flag and gave it to us in a pretty case.
I know my grandpa got a brick with his name on it, at the Memorial we have in our city.
It has his name and rank, and then some other information that I can't remember.

Thanks x3 Kitty pretty much said what the salute is. There were some guys in uniform. Then there were five guys that shot of the guns. Then these two girls wrapped up the big Amercan Flag really nice, and then they gave it to my aunt and said some stuff that I didn't hear cus' they were talking so quiet. I suppose they gave their condolences and said what a great person he was or something like that, I'm not sure.
I don't remember what war he served in. I think someone said Veitnam but i'm not sure.. Anyway it was all pretty sad and i'm glad it's over. On a happier note I just finished the 7th Harry Potter book. =]

I think that was the one that my Grandpa participated in. I'm not sure either, though.
As for the Harry Potter book, awesome! Was it as good as everyone is saying?
My dad is reading our copy right now, so I have to wait. ;-;

Yey, I was bought! And the book was very good. I cried through out the whole thing. It was really great :] I got it at midnight but my parents made me wait until I woke up the next moring to read it it. I believe it took me 9 hours to finish it. I didn't stop for anything .__.

About: Well I'm a Language Arts and English Education Major in college, I'm moving into my first apartment next week (yay) too bad one of my roommates isn't very responsible with money or her relationship...but she's fun to watch!! lol I love learning and trying to knew things, like sky diving and bungee jumping, those were fun. I love to travel, went to Vegas and Australia this summer but I really, really want to see the grand canyon one day. I'm originally from Jamaica and went to an all girls school there which was fun, I miss it. Things I like include: biking, my turn-tables, My first tattoo, books, books, books, books, and more books! XD, video games, My fish, and I absolutely love my first car (I'm still tired from working to pay for her XD). I think that's about it.

Awww thanks. Somebody hit my car the other day and the window on the driver's side wouldn't go all the way down. sad Fixing it cost me 850 crying
