As he ran with his comrades, he smiled, it felt great to be fighting as a team. His head cocked back to Obei, then to Selina, then to that curly haired Kaito. "Ehheheeh!" He chuckled to himself. But soon enough they found themself within the very chamber their target was in an-s**t! He was caught in that trap! He had no way of dodging it, at least, not without exhausting all his energy. He growled out, "HEY LET ME OUTTA HERE SO I CAN KICK YOUR-" Haji' cut himself off, eye flicking to Kaito, he was able to slip past that trap, his eyes going wide. The kid was rushing to save his friend. It was admirable but a pit grew in his stomach. "KID WAIT! USE YOUR HEAD!!!" The redhead was stuck in place, but he was yelling his head off like no tomorrow. "HE'S GONNA KILL HIM IF YOU DON'T BACK OFF!!!"

The group was in agreement about going in as one whole, one after the other. Obei took place at the rear as always, waiting for Selina to give the go ahead inside. She shuffled awkwardly and tried her best to not give their location away too badly. A pale, seven foot oni was already incredibly hard to miss. On the third count the group was off, shuffling inside of the temple in a single line. Being the final person inside, Obei ducked under the door but failed to get out of the way of the technique used by the puppets surrounding the entrance, Her and Hajime became trapped within the confines of their bubble, Obei having to crouch in order to fit inside. "Grrrrrrr..." She let out a growl, going to smash her hand against the shield. A great jolt of pain flooded through her system while she yelped and kept a red eye on Selina and Kenshin. Avalanche sat above them with a blade stuck to his neck by another man. The two leaders would hesitate approaching but not the one known as Kaito. He rocketed towards the duo with fire in his eyes, Obei simply looking at Hajime while he screamed at the younger ninja to not test the man's patience.

__ Kenshin was in the front of the line as they walked into the temple. His Byakugan was still not allowed to get a good enough look at the place before entering. At this point, he was ready for anything and just wanted to get Avalanche out of her as well as the transgressors arrested. When a powerful barrier was being manifested Kenshin used his incredible speed to jump forward and out of the way. The hostage situation, as well as the android threats waiting in the wings, made the scene even more dangerous than he anticipated. In a blink, Kenshin was enhanced by lightning armor and seemingly disappeared as if a body flicker had occurred. Suddenly, he would reappear directly in front of Gonzo with dark blue lightning pulsating not only around by through his body as well. The Sannin had used a more unique application of the powerful Hatake Shift technique and enhanced his body even further with lightning armor. All of the immense electricity that would normally be generated to devastate the surrounding area was instead used to energize his body and drastically increase his speed and strength. Kenshin was moving substantially faster at this point than Kaito and would likely collide with Gonzo before he could take an action. Kenshin aimed for right fist to punch the rogue officer's abdomen and force him back and away from Avalanche. If contact was made between Kenshin and Gonzo then the powerful sonic boom of the lightning generated from Kenshin's body alone would be enough to safely distance him from Avalanche. The physical contact would also cause him to suffer from paralysis and burns as well as some broken bones from the full force of Kenshin's enhanced strength. If Kenshin's assist was successful then Kaito would have the opportunity to safely retrieve Avalanche as instructed.

With their super charged raiton chakra laced with volatile energy trailing them from their starting and stopping points and striking the ground just as they appear in their new location. This bolt of lightning creates a concussive explosion that is mixed with the mass of expanding arcs of lightning, similar to that of Chidori Nagashi. This, however, expands fifty feet shredding those within its range with deep lacerations. This jutsu consumes an activation of Shunshin when used. Only the movement used to maneuver the user in place takes place at body flicker speeds, the rest of this attack remains unboosted. Gonzo's whole body turned red when Kenshin gathered his lightning cloak. His hair grew long and three horns protruded into a crown around his head. "You're not needed!" Gonzo shouted as he was forced to move away from Avalanche to parry the oncoming strike. The shock wave between the two clashing blades knocked Kaito with the force that it could possibly kill him. That is, it would have done so, had Avalanche not intervened. Just as the shockwave would have collided Avalanche leaped from their place of hiding and wrapped their arms around Kaito. The force of Avalanche's intercepting tackle would force Kaito into an ice mirror they created, and the two of them would roll safely along the other side of the barrier which divided the room and appeared on the outside of it.
"What?!" The man shouted as his head turned to the side. The Avalanche which resided there faded along as the power of the vigilante's genjutsu had everyone believing that the masked one was in such a dire position. Meanwhile, Avalanche smirked as he looked at the boy who he held so closely to him. "Idiot. I told you already. I'm the vigilante, not you." They gasped with the last of their strength. Their head fell to the floor as the excess amount of chakra they used to maintain the illusion had rendered them unconscious. Truth be told while they managed to escape the two corrupt APD officers, it was only just. They tried to fight the two, but lost their sword in the process. It was only through a quick trick that they managed to keep themselves safe. Had Kaito not rushed in to save them, Avalanche wouldn't have found the last second strength to propel them through the now shattered ice mirror.

Selina gasped when Obei and Hajme were trapped by the barrier. It was her concern over Obei hurting herself that caused her to not be able to warn Kaito in time. "Kaito wait that's not-" She couldn't get out fast enough. The colliding force between the two forced Selina to burst into flower petals in order to dodge the strike. Had it not been for Avalanche then the two would have suffered extreme damage. However, Selina was able to dodge the attack, and the other two were safe by the barrier. Gonzo realized his plans were failing and started to get desperate.
"Lower the barrier, and activate all of these robots! Lord Sandayu may not have his army, but at least the forces which stopped him last time will die now!" The man shouted at the puppeteer. The four human puppets which maintained the barrier dropped their formation as the man's skin turned a blue color. Massive bat like wings grew from his back as he leaped off the roof and glided along the battlefield. It was then that all of the robot's eyes glowed with a hollow blue light. Selina sighed as a blunt weapon manifested in her right hand by a stream of light. "Obei, help me with the robots. Kaito, keep Avalanche safe. Hajime, the puppeteer." Selina shouted as she took her turn giving orders. Selina then turned and chucked her blunted weapon toward a stream of robots. The blade spun and became a disc of light as it cleaved through enemies. None of these robots seemed to have the same durability as R.E.A.C.H, which probably meant that these were the prototypes. However, there seemed to be a never ending stream of these hunks of metal. Just what was Gonzo planning?

Kenshin was faster than Kaito and tried to knock Gonzo away in an impressive move - however, Gonzo reacted quickly enough that the interaction created a knockback effect. Avalanche, thankfully, seemed to be faking the unconsciousness and saved Kaito from the fatal concussive blast. However, the vigilante lost consciousness for real after delivering a line, leaving Kaito tongue-tied but relieved.
"You idiot... how do you keep ending up in these weird situations with me along for the ride?" The words were chastising but the tone betrayed his warmth. He didn't have long to dwell on it, however, because there were killer robot things descending on all of them. He needed to keep the vigilante safe from the robots but didn't want to turn his back on them in case something happened while he was fighting. He stayed beside Avalanche's form, generating a lightning field around them.
"Who authorized the research that led to killer robots? This village, I swear," he said the last part under his breath, wondering how quickly everyone could handle the robots so he could flee with the vigilante.

used: Rising Storm [ Shinkou Arashi ] | Rank X (B) The user forms the required hand signs, releasing a substantial amount of chakra into the earth, causing it to rise up in seemingly spastic patterns. However, the bolts of electricity that rise up within ten feet of the user halt both physical and ninjutsu projectiles it's rank and potency in chakra and lower from striking the user. In addition, physical projectiles that are countered in this way retain an electrical charge for two posts per rank of the technique, inflicting tiered paralysis on those who pick up them item.
Hajime's head snapped towards Obei, hearing that yelp seized him with panic, eye focused on that hand. She seemed to be handling it well so he choked back words, wanting to comfort the lady. Hajime blinked and all of a sudden Kenshin was all up in Gonzo's Grill, freezing up when he thought Kaito was done for! Only to sigh out a breath of relief when he was saved by the Vigilante. Haji' was grinning like a mad man when the idiot told the barrier keeper to lower it. He prepped himself to attack, glancing to Selina. "He won't be a problem, I promise!" He clanged his blades together, letting fiery Katon Chakra fill them. He was weaving together jutsu, Fire was sprouting up through the ground behind him. A bonfire grew, draconic wings sprouting from it, three large heads snaking out from it and bellowing out a raging roar at the Puppeteer and his four Puppets. "Five on One didn't seem right. Seeing as I have two hands and three dragon heads, that should make this a bit more fair!" He poured more chakra into his blades, electricity crackling threw the metal, arcing across with sparks and static. Soon his whole body was covered in a glowing aura of lightning! Hajime wasn't done yet! This was his bread and butter! He would make Belamos proud with his prowess of Katon Techniques. The center of the three heads, opened wide sending three Fire Balls towards three of those puppets. They took on the shape of three smaller dragon heads. The one on the left gaped its maw, blasting a fat fireball right at another puppet, the one on the right following suit at the other puppet. Haji' bolted right for the puppeteer, blades out by his sides as he took in a deep breath and exhaled a scalding torrent of boiling water! Right at him, attempting to close the distance while his fiery Katon Techniques kept those bastards busy so he could cut down the one controlling them!
True Hydra Technique [ S ] The user forms a string of required hand signs, giving birth to three dragon heads that sit upon a fifty foot neck emerging from the ground. These dragon heads can use Basic Combat physical strikes by consuming the user's chakra for each ranked action and are able to release one katon technique per post that does not consume the user's activations. The user may only manifest two of these three headed dragons at once. Katon techniques used by the creature have tier four burning and burns applied to them instead of their standard tier. Lightning Strike Armor [ B ] The user expels chakra around their entire body as an electrical disc appears above their body and washes over them, coating them in an electrical aura that defends the user from damage of the armor's rank and below with an upkeep of ten chakra per post. If the technique's original cost is met or exceeded with an attack it defends against the technique ends. Foes who make physical contact with the user during this state are dealt tier three paralysis on the limb connected to the point of contact. Scalding Water Cannon Technique [ B + D Katon ] A move that lets the user spit a powerful beam of boiling water, strong enough to cut through wood and hot enough to scald flesh. Eventually, it becomes powerful enough to carve through stone. For an upkeep of D-Rank, the technique can be continued past the first post, for as long as the user can hold their breath. This technique may be treated as a combination of Katon and Suiton natures. If the user applies a D-Rank amount of katon chakra to the technique then Tier 3 burning is applied. Fire Dragon Flame Projectile [ B ] The user expels fire from their mouth after forming the necessary hand signs. Each of these fireballs treat defensive techniques and armors as one tier lower during collisions. Each fireball inflicts tier three burns upon impact. Obei held her damaged hand, cursing to herself as she clutched it with great force. The pain felt had managed to kick start her inner beast, beginning to focus more on the battle ahead. thankfully Selina and Kenshin had made it through the barrier while Haji and him would be trapped in the chakra bubble. Something that Haji had probably only ever dreamed of ever since this moment. Kaito and the masked man collided while Kenshin's S-rank attack would cause a powerful sonic boom to sound off. "Hah-Jee!" Obei pulled Hajime to her side and wrapped her body around his in case the shield wouldn't be enough to hold him back. Thankfully the shield withstood the attack, the oni raising her arms to see the bubble still in tact and setting the smaller male back down. Kaito seemed to have Avalanche all ready tamed for the time being. Upon his words, the shield was raised as the puppets around them would become activated.
"Obei help!" Obei shouted, charging through by Selina's side while her hands would glow that ethereal shade of azure, hyoton chakra pouring out of the skin in some areas. She brought them both together while raising her fist and punching the ground, the transfer of chakra almost instant. In a second, a vast forty yard field of ten foot icicles erupted from the floorboards of the temple. Robots would have their innards pierced through and disabled, though some had avoided the attack and continued towards her. Alongside Selina, she was deck robots left and right. A few swarmed her and piled on, but were thrown off just as soon as they stormed her. One robot would have their head put into the ground while Obei inhaled and brought chakra up to her chest and expelled a strong icy wind, blowing a group of robots back against a wall, the bitter cold pushing them against it.
"Robots no stop." Obei commented to Selina, punching through another one. "Obei keep Suh-Lee-Nah safe. Even if not stop."

__ When Kenshin clashed with Gonzo the shock wave shook the temple it thundered through. Avalanche revealed the Art of Fake Death and managed to rescue Kenshin's reckless subordinate officer. Gonzo then ordered the release of the automatons out of clear desperation. Kenshin had to keep an eye on them in case his squadmates struggled excessively but he also needed to neutralize Gonzo before he could escape or find a way to do more damage. "I'll end you the same way I did your god!" Kenshin shouted in Gonzo's face before moving forward and attempting to clothesline the man's ribs and force him to the ground. His intention was to shatter some bones and inflict paralysis so that he could be apprehended and then processed by the police department after being given emergency medical attention. He hoped to end this quickly with his powerful taijutsu but was prepared for more of a brawl with the forbidden seal user.

Avalanche remained unconscious as their brave savior shielded the two of them with lightning. A single hand of the puppeteer manipulated the puppets to dodge and maneuver around the hydra strikes. The other hand of the puppeteer rose as a seal materialized and created a two dimensional barrier shield. This shield neutralized Hajime's strike as the puppeteer continued to fly away. In his wake, however, twenty more robots rose from the ground to try and dog pile the warrior. At least four of them would be impaled, however, by the combined forces of Selina and Obei.
Gonzo, meanwhile, was unable to dodge the oncoming taijutsu strike. The force caused him to fly back and crash into all of the computers which dominated the wall. As he struggled to stand, his body collapsed, and blood poured from his mouth. There was massive internal bleeding, and there was no way he was going to make it out of this temple alive. "Sandayu, my king. Do not waste your will on the vigilante.... Use me instead." He prayed. Just then, the man screamed wildly in pain. His skin receded to a normal color as his horns sunk back into his skull. After the screaming stopped, a force of nature chakra shook the room. The force dismantled robots by the dozen and would no doubt be felt by the heroes. Gonzo's body floated as a blood red aura soaked his entire frame. Drastically different eyes, those as black as coal, looked down on Kenshin. "You've aged. I guess Evergreen didn't give you all of her gifts after all." He said while the walls of the building around them started to shake. It was clear that too much power was presented in one area, and that the temple was not going to stand for much longer. "Until we meet again, Kenshin." He said, disappearing into the kamui realm.

Selina called back her blunt weapon as she used it alongside Obei to hold off the robot forces. She chose to conserve the bulk of her energy in order to be able to endure the onslaught of the robot army. However, as she raised her weapon to block one of the robots, a force of nature chakra overwhelmed the battle. She forced herself to defend against it, but as before she could even see him, her chakra sensory caused her to flinch in horror. 'No. This isn't supposed to happen yet.' She thought in panic. Selina swung her weapon to clear the way toward Sandayu as she used her incredible strength to knock aside a dozen robots in one swing. Her right hand rose as nature chakra coursed through her, surprising anyone who did not know about her training as a human sage. 'If I can end it here, maybe I can stop what comes next.' She thought despite the caving of the building around her. There were much more critical concerns to Selina at this moment then what was going on physically around her. In her right hand gathered light which then became filled with sage chakra. Selina then raised her hand and the burst of chakra became a blinding, impossibly strong burst of chakra. The likes of this power were things which Selina had never demonstrated nor utilized, even during the great kogarashi war five years ago. This power she hoped to never used, but knew that it was her only hope in stopping what was to come next.
However, it was in vain.
Her beam flew straight through the kamui foe, and collided into the roof of the temple. This only proceeded to escalate the speed in which the temple collapsed. Swearing under her breath, Selina released her sage form and look toward Kenshin. "We need to get out of here!" She shouted. Selina knew that Obei would follow her, and she hoped that Hajime would follow Obei. Kaito knew to keep Avalanche safe, which was why she exited out of the building first. Hajime had the choice to either continue to fight the puppeteer as the two of them could be swallowed by the rubble, or to take the tactical retreat and live to fight another day.

Kaito didn't take his eyes off of Avalanche as he heard bits of battle all around him. When Gonzo went flying an old dialogue filled the air, he couldn't help but look up to see Gonzo revert forms as nature chakra filled the area. The man seemed possessed as he addressed Kenshin directly.
And then the temple began to fall apart.
Kaito released the defensive lightning technique and grew wings of pure light. He held on tightly to Avalanche's body, using his wings to flee right behind Selina. As much as he needed to protect the temple and the village, he had to keep Avalanche safe. "What was that technique you used?" He asked Selina as he hurried back through the entrance with Avalanche in his arms, bewildered for a variety of reasons but he settled for asking his questions one at a time.

Obei kept bashing mechanized skulls unless they stopped or she did. The numbers and logic behind it were lost to time, her pale arms continuing to bash while she was huffing above Selina. From time to time the towering giant would check on Selina, one such time coming to a head as the woman had a horrified look on her face. In an Obei sized swing, she sped off deeper into the depths of the temple. This left Obei to only watch her go, a brief glimpse of chakra trailing behind her as she had managed to clear a majority of the robots in one fell swoop. She continued to hold the line as ordered, a part of her worried for the pink haired anbu. It wasn't until an explosion came from close by while the entire temple had began to shake from the foundation beginning to collapse. By that time, Obei had only a few trickle's worth left and Selina came to yell at them to retreat outside. The oni took off in a hurry, clearing the way outside. Right when her feet hit the ground outsid, the walls caved in and the temple to Evergreen had come fully down. Breathing a sigh of relief, Obei looking around at her comrades...and noticed they were one short. had hajime not managed to make it out?
"Hah-Jee..."
Obei let out a soft whine, going back over towards the rubble and beginning to toss things out of the way. They were small at first but would soon evolve into frantic clawing at anything she could get her hands on. Walls, foundation, things were tossed aside in a blind fury while Obei's sullen eyes search desperately for the orange haired boy.

As everyone began their retreat Hajime would keep up his pursuit of the Puppeteer. His Hydra was trying to take big ol' bites outta of those bastards! CRASH! A huge chunk of stone smashed down where he had been just a moment before, having sidestepped right out of the way. "GIVE UP OR WE BOTH F-" There's another huge crash, cutting off some words. "-NG DIE!" Hajime belts out those words, dashing after the villain, blades drawn and at the ready as he attempts to close the distance. All the while their space was getting less and less, the entrance was closed off. He sprinted at the man, attempting to close just a little more distance. He took a deep breath, chakra flowing through those sharpened blades. He slashed through the air, cutting through the dense atmosphere. Three arcs of chakra were sent careening at the man, from each blade. He couldn't wait any longer, he was low on chakra He tried to catch a glimpse of his attack hitting but he'd already fallen into the ground. He was using the Military Movement Technique, practically swimming through rock, to where he hoped was safe.

I dunno where my on going techniques went but the Hydra is still attacking the puppets, and his lightning strike armor is still equiped. chakra has been taking out for both's upkeep.

__ Before he could arrest the cultist after successfully defeating him in the duel, a familiar voice left the corrupt officer's lips. He squinted as his rage grew within him. Clearly his old adversary had crossed into the next realm and was able to control his mortal followers. He did not speak and was forced to watch him evade the situation with no chance of the police captain capturing him. His hands and teeth clenched at this sudden revelation. Kenshin was not certain if Sandayu had actually become a deity after his death as he claimed but this seemed to confirm that possibility. Nevertheless, the sage had to contain his fury and act in the dire moment he was in. As the temple was crumbling and caving in, Kenshin watched most of his squadron leave except, of course, Hajime. With an irritated grunt, Kenshin ran towards Hajime once he completed his attacks and it was safe to approach him. He lunged in to tackle him and push them both out of the vicinity of the crashing building. Kenshin took some of the juice out of his persisting lightning armor to protect himself from any harm from Hajime's armor without damaging him. Hopefully Kenshin and Hajime would be able to safely leave the building like the others.
