When Kahn noticed a low-flying Zubat he sent Caltrop towards it, afterwards shaking his head in disappointment when the rose returned stumbling back to him. He held whatever comment he might've had to himself and simply approached Apollo to alert him of the Roselia's injuries, to which he treated with a few potions.
Apollo straightened up after dealing with Caltrop, his eyes following after him as he toddled back to the other pokemon. He dusted his hands off lightly and leaned back, turning his head back to Cyrus so that he could address him. "Yeah, you're probably right. Maybe next time we can even go together," he suggested, though he kept his tone light at this, making it so he had made the comment off-handedly or as an afterthought. No need to get his hopes up. Maybe Cyrus would be more comfortable in a group-like setting, it was obvious that this one-on-one conversation wasn't his preferred situation. Apollo pursed his lips when Cy had admitted to being out of practice, but after several seconds of thought he managed to compose himself. "Really? That's a shame," he said finally. "You have some real talent, you should think about taking it back up again." He knew all about the inconvenience of traveling with large instruments, carrying around that cumbersome saxophone case day after day grew tiring, but he also knew the benefits as well, and frankly the pros overweighed the cons.
While Cyrus considered his idea Apollo took the time to look over the male's current outfit once more. It wasn't that bad. Sure, it wasn't as expensive as the sort of clothes he knew they were both used to, but at least they didn't look Arceus-awful. Of course... he'd actually never worn those sort of clothes, even after leaving home he'd still kept up his lavish lifestyle, but... at least he knew now that those cheaper stores actually had decent wares. He blinked and looked away from the clothes and back to the person actually wearing them, "alright, I'm sure there are some shops in the Plaza we could visit here," he said before he stood to his feet, his hands moving to casually rest against his hips while he began to search for a boutique.

Stow took down another Petilil with an icy blast while Sinbad snoozed in the shade of the tree that Argo was perched in.
Cyrus shuffled his feet a bit as Apollo had suggested that they could go to tanabata together next time. That would be nice, but... he had only been there to take advantage of the crowds. And that would most likely be the only reason he'd go back. But if he was with Apollo... he didn't want to let his child hood friend in on what he did for a living. "We'll see what happens." he responded simply, not shooting him down but not directly accepting the light suggestion.
"I'm not THAT talented. It's not like I can carry my mom's harp all around, either." he muttered, rejecting the compliment with a hint of pink on his cheeks. He never considered himself particularly great with music. Sure, he picked up on the harp from his mother pretty quickly, and could actually read music... He wasn't nearly as good as Apollo was with his saxophone.
Cyrus shoved his hands in the pockets of his jeans, well aware of Apollo's gaze on his clothes. It really made him a bit uncomfortable for multiple reasons. Was he being judged for wearing this terrible feeling clothes? Was Apollo only being polite when he complimented his clothes? Or was he... having perverted thoughts? That possibility made him tense up again a bit, making him a bit flustered. He wouldn't put it past him, what with his apparent tendency with texting. "Right. Let's go." Cyrus replied a bit stiffly, walking alongside Apollo to find a boutique. Sinbad can handle Stow and Argo from here.

Caltrop, after being healed, was had only just rejoined the group before he was directed to another pokemon, this one familiar to the rose. He took care of it easily and afterwards gave a smirk and bow, "zat wuz too eazy," he purred and afterwards lifted one of his roses to sniff. "Next time, zend me aftah a pokemon worth ze effort." Kahn rolled his eyes loudly and muttered something unintelligible before he spoke up, "I'll keep that in mind."
Apollo only nodded quietly to Cyrus' cautious answer, there wasn't much to add onto and, honestly, he was content with the fact that he hadn't been immediately rejected. He laughed at the dark-skinned male's modest claim of his talent, "I always thought you were good," he replied simply. Cyrus was obviously embarrassed, the pink tint to his cheeks a tell-tale sign, but unfortunately for him this was something he'd push for. In his eyes it was practically a sin to waste talent. "If you've gotten tired of the harp, there are other, smaller, stringed instruments you could pick up," he suggested. "The violin or fiddle, perhaps."
He stretched his arms skyward upon rising to his feet and brushed his bangs out of his left eye, tucking the brightly colored strand behind his ear. "Is there a particular style you're looking for?" he asked Cyrus, hoping to at least narrow down their search by adding in a few factors. "Do you want something similar to your usual clothes, loose with neutral colors, or something new?"

Yet another Petilil was met with misfortune as Stow blew it away with a Blizzard attack. Argo didn't seem to care much that his trainer was leaving him behind, and Sinbad remained under the tree, snoozing.
Cyrus fidgeted a bit as Apollo insisted that he was good at playing the harp and that he should pick up another similar instrument. It wasn't really that he was tired of playing the harp, but... carrying most instruments weren't really good for his line of work. However, knowing how Apollo can be with music, he considered his suggestion. "I'll think about taking up the lute." he replied, hoping that would sate his friend's desire for him to continue playing an instrument.
As they walked off to find a boutique, Apollo questioned Cyrus on what he'd be looking for in clothes. Typically, he looked for silky, loose fitting clothes. Really though, right now... he'd really prefer anything to what he was wearing now. "I like what I'm used to, but... I don't know. I guess I could try something different..." Cyrus finally responded, a bit indecisively. He figured in the end, if it was better and more comfortable than what he currently had on, he'd be fine with it.

When a Grimer began to slide too close for comfort Caltrop was sent out to apprehend it, Kahn's eyes glazing over and tail swaying lazily through the air as he watched the battle progress. He'd taken damage from the battle, but with Apollo currently gone he'd just have to keep him out of a few battles, or at least the tougher ones.
Apollo kept a steady gaze on Cyrus, fully aware of the way the male squirmed underneath his look, one of curiosity and expectation. He wouldn't pressure him into getting back into music, but at the same time he refused to allow him to just give up. Perhaps it was just the nostalgic part of him that wished to see a familiar side of his childhood friend returned, there were bits and pieces that shined through the person Cy was now, but... eh; he was just thinking too much into it. "The lute? Heh, that seems right for you." Apollo's expression relaxed into a much more pleasant one, and the man chuckled. "Alright, maybe we can even collaborate; make some sweet music together," he wiggled his eyebrows in jest before he broke out into soft laughter.
"Okay," Apollo nodded as he listened to Cyrus' preference, humming in thought as he tried to integrate that into his search. He stopped, eyes lighting up, when he saw a mannequin in a nearby display window, donned in outfit that immediately caught his eye. "Let's head in here, you can try on a few things." Slinging an arm around the other male's shoulder he guided him inside, a bell on top of the door alerting the staff of their arrival. "If you don't find anything you like, we can try another place."

Stow was on a roll - destroying wild pokemon with ease, mostly due to the grass types that kept coming, only to be pummeled by a Blizzard attack.
Cyrus was a bit relieved as Apollo seemed to agree that the lute seemed like a good fit for him. He didn't really plan on getting one any time soon but... he was sure that it would be something his friend would keep on him for. Shouldn't be too hard to find a lute that would work. He then blinked, looking up to his friend as he made a comment about making sweet music together. The implications of it didn't quite occur to him until he noticed the look on his friend's face. Cyrus' face flushed deep red and he looked away immediately. "Wh-what the hell... why does he keep doing that? It's embarrassing..." he thought. It's not like it was even the most suggestive thing he's ever heard, either. Yet somehow... hearing it from Apollo rather flustered him. Damn that charming male, being able to just get to him like this! He couldn't even come up with a response to that.
Thankfully, by the time they found a store, Cyrus had calmed down a bit. His shoulders tensed a bit as Apollo put an arm around them to lead him inside. They relaxed again soon after as the shorter male just continued to walk with his friend into the store, trying not to think of the other's arm on him. The shop, admittedly, seemed quite promising. "This looks like a decent store." Cyrus commented, looking around. He kinda hoped that none of the store assistants would come to offer help - that kind of thing annoyed him.
==== Virus was bored after Meebus had left, deciding to go visit some pokemon in Cyrus' pc to pass some time. He got there with ease, checking in on Tilde first. "Tilde!~ How is my bodacious babe~?" Virus exclaimed. "Virus. Do not call me anything but my name. I am fine. Just a bit... disappointed at being in this box." the Armaldo responded. The Porygon2 chatted with her a bit, then stopped by to check on the Axew... who seemed to just be snoozing away. Finally, he went to the Treecko. "Hello friend!" Virus exclaimed. "If you were my friend, you'd get me the heck out of here." the treecko stated. The cyber pokemon blinked, made a bit of a sound before swiveling around the grass starter. "I'm your friend! I promise! I'll do anything for a friend!" he exclaimed. "Good. find me a new trainer." the treecko stated. "Will do~!" the porygon chimed, already removing the treecko from the pc slot and dragging it along. He then contacted a Porygon he knew named Data, who soon materialized before him. "Oh baby~ Data! I have a huuuuuuuuuuuuge favor to ask! Could you please find a new trainer for my pal here, Treecko? Take him far away from here~" Virus asked in a rather... suggestive manner. The Porygon sighed, then agreed. "Fine. But you owe me, Virus." Data said, then took the Treecko and disappeared.
Virus was hopping about the data streams, exploring pcs when he had a brilliant idea. He should probably fill the treecko's slot with something even better! He came to a stop at a pc that had very few pokemon. The logs seemed to say that it belonged to one Rosette Fairmont, and that there wasn't much activity. And though generally Virus knew it was best to take from the pcs that had too many pokemon to notice if one went missing, he suddenly grabbed a pokemon from the box, fleeing. It was an Eevee! That was a rare pokemon, right? Cyrus would be pleased to find it! Virus placed the eevee in Cyrus' pc where the treecko had been, then got busy on wiping his trail clean.

Despite the damaged he'd received earlier Caltrop didn't hesitate to take on the next pokemon his eyes fell on, attacking with renewed vigor. Despite the rather hefty attack the Zubat managed to survive, and while on its last wing still managed to do a decent amount of damage in return, forcing Caltrop to attack himself in confusion and then cause him to flinch, before Kahn stepped in to intervene. He braced himself against the fury of wind whipped at him before he attacked, easily taking out the wounded bat. Afterwards Caltrop simply huffed, now in a foul mood, and didn't bother to thank Kahn for his assistance before he stomped off. He didn't get too far, however, when a fallen disc caught his eyes. Upon closer inspection he found it not only to be in good condition but clean as well, and after confirming its sanitation he picked it up.
The line was dropped and seconds after eye contact between the two was made. Apollo waited and gave a rather Cheshire grin when he was rewarded for his patience, catching a glimpse of Cyrus' blush right before the trainer ducked his head down. As expected, his words had gotten a reaction out of the cream-colored male. It must've been something he'd picked up in the last decade, for he certainly didn't remember Cyrus ever being this prone to embarrassment. It wasn't to say that he didn't enjoy it though, no it was quite the opposite. "Red's a good color on, Cy," he mused, another chuckle escaping him.
His amusement had died down by the time they entered the boutique and, past events quickly forgotten, Apollo swept his gaze around the store upon entry, grunting in agreement to Cyrus' comment. During his brief scrutiny one of the sales associates moved to approach the two, a smile on her face-- as it was necessary to appear polite to any and all potential customers. "Is there anything I can help you gentleman with today?" she asked softly, receiving a grin from Apollo himself. His arm slipped off Cyrus' shoulder and he took a step further. "Not right now, beautiful," he replied, gently denying her help. "But, perhaps in a bit. You've got a discerning eye, I can tell, so perhaps you'll be able to give us your opinion when my friend here tries on a few pairs of clothes." The woman blinked before nodding, her smile growing to become a bit more genuine. "Of course, I'll leave you two alone for now."
Apollo turned on the balls of his feet to face Cyrus once the sales associate had left, clapping his hands together. "Alright! You ready to start looking, Cy? We can start by looking for pants."

Stow was unstoppable against the grass types. Sinbad's ear twitched and he raised his head to check on the rat's progress. He seemed to be in good shape, but might need a forced break soon.
Apollo commenting that red was a good color for him definitely didn't help the situation. Cyrus jammed his hands in his jean pockets, clenching his fingers a bit. "Itisn'treally." he grumbled under his breath. Luckily, it all calmed down as they entered the store. However, before they could get far, an employee approached. Cy narrowed his eyes as his friend moved forward to greet the sales associate. "Oh great... a playboy, too?" he thought, disgruntled. The Egyptian was quick to busy himself with really looking at the nearest rack of clothes. Anyone else might think he really liked the shirt he was examining. They'd be wrong, as he was just hiding his frustration while Apollo wooed the sales associate. He only looked away from the shirt as Apollo returned, ready to start looking. "Yeah, fine." he agreed, then headed off towards the section where the pants were. At least this store had better fabrics.

With Caltrop out of commission, because of his injury and pouting, Eris was sent out in his place to take on the next pokemon. She took it out with relative ease, only taking a bit of damage and yet, even from that one attack she walked away with her knees buckling and breath ragged. She would definitely need more training.
Apollo followed Cyrus to the other side of the shop, eyes taking in the merchandise and the oh-so-very helpful sales assistants. Of course, he was fully committed to help his friend find a new outfit, one hundred percent, but there was no harm in letting his mind.. and eye wander, was there? The musician managed to clear and focus his mind by the time he joined Cyrus at the clothes rack, a line of shirt, with only their sleeves poking out and the only true part of the fabric that was visible. "What size are you?" he asked, already searching through the shirts. "You look like a medium," he murmured thoughtfully and whipped out a shirt, pressing it to Cyrus' frame, scrutinizing it, then quickly shaking his head and placing it back. "Or a small."
Yet another shirt was taking out and pressed against the blonde, Apollo frowning gently before he took a half-step back to better appraise him. After a moment he looked past the shirt and into Cyrus' eyes, "what do you think, Cy?"

Stow was still having a great time demolishing opponents. Sinbad watched, tail flicking. The rat seemed to be getting almost reckless, despite not having been hurt at all, yet.
Apollo's interest in the sales associates annoyed Cyrus mildly. He ended up focusing on the clothes before him. Why the heck should he care that his friend liked to flirt? It seriously wasn't a big deal, and yet he felt a bit irritated. Maybe it was just... not what he expected? Yeah, had to just be getting to hang out with him after a decade of being absent. The Egyptian glanced up at Apollo as he questioned his size, guessing medium before amending to small after holding a shirt up to him. "... small." he grumbled, even though his friend seemed to have it figured out already.
Apollo held another shirt up against him, looking it over. It was a nice fabric, and Cyrus was impatient. He also didn't feel much like having more shirts held up against him. "I like it. I think it'll work." he stated.

A Cottonee began to flutter in the wind, instantly catching Kahn's attention. It waggled its leaf in greeting, upon catching the feline's eye, and began to float closer. Before it could, however, a purple, acidic bomb came from out of left-field, blindsiding the cotton puff, and sent it hurtling away. Kahn whipped his head in the direction of where the attack had come from, his eyes narrowing when he saw Caltrop. He grit his teeth gave a large, exaggerated, eye roll and rested his chin back onto his paws.
"Hm." Apollo hummed thoughtfully when Cy admitted to being a small. "It's good to know something's haven't changed yet," he joked, and then he was back to business. Instantly he moved to take a step further into the aisle, eyes narrowing in on the small section slowly. He was prepared to start pulling out more shirts when he was stopped, Cy making a quick decision-- almost too quick in his decision. "Are you sure? That's only the first one, there are other ones you could try on." He wasn't trying to spend the entire day in the boutique, but a little thought ought to be put into decisions like these. But, it was Cy's choice. The musician held up his hands in defeat, backpedalling out of the shirt's section and heading back towards the pants. "Alright, let's go find a pair of pants that'll match," he suggested, swiveling around so that he could actually begin walking straight-forward without the danger of bumping into anyone.

A rather bold Skitty crossed Stow's path, fighting him back after not falling to the first Blizzard. Stow took it down regardless, letting out a victory screech. Sinbad decided that that was enough for the rat for now. The lion padded over and took the rat's choice scarf for himself, much to Stow's displeasure. Sinbad then grabbed the rat by his tail and padded away, taking him away from where he was battling. Stow was too petrified to fight off the big cat.
Cyrus' face scrunched up a bit in frustration as Apollo joked about his size. That was just... something horribly embarrassing. Yeah, he hasn't really grown much since he turned 15. Sure, his size had some benefits, but... He really didn't like being called out on for his size. "Ha... yeah..." he grumbled a bit. After her victory she clenched her hand into a victory fist, rather pleased with how easy training was, that move she'd been taught had proven useful. Even if acting was her true call, she figured that battling could be a side thing, a hobby even.
How many jokes were centered around Cyrus' height, the question popped up into Apollo's mind as he strode towards the pants section. The answer must've been a high number considering that Cyrus wasn't even average height, there were women who were his height or even taller. Suppressing a chuckle Apollo stopped when he reached a rack, the sound of metal sliding over metal reverberating through the boutique as he separated to try and better divide them. He wasn't sure of the other's actual size, but he knew not to bother with anything over 35 inches. Cy wasn't much of a 'jeans' person either. A Delcatty, perhaps a parent to the skitty that Stow brutally defeated, appeared. It was quite agitated. Sinbad couldn't reason with it, so he had no choice but to fight it until it admitted defeat and slinked away.
Cyrus wasn't all that keen on sticking around the store much longer. It really accentuated his shortness to be getting clothes here. This is why he hated shopping in stores. There was always some comment to be had about his size. It was incredibly annoying. Cyrus stopped by Apollo in the pants section, eying the pants rack. "Twenty-nine... " he grumbled, not even wanting to bother with the length of the pants.

Caltrop, despite his weakened state, felt that he was on a roll and as such he took on the next pokemon that came their way, throwing caution to the wind. He managed to take a Grimer by surprise, startling it into raising its defense instead of outright attacking, a lucky break for the dark rose who took it out in the next turn.
"Twenty-nine," Apollo repeated Cyrus' size slowly placing the pants he'd snagged back onto the rack. He'd overestimated the other's size, by quite a bit. "Alright then." He nodded, keeping whatever comment that could possibly be made from such information to himself before he began to walk down the aisle, waving for the other to follow after him.
