Chael smiled and noticed Ash in the fire "Oh, so your little dragon is going through his "Phase." No need to worry, every dragon does. Well the fire ones anyway."

"Phase?" Amu asked. "What do you mean by that? Does he need more flame?" He seemed worried for Ash's health and safety.

Chael laughed "He will be fine. Every dragon goes through some phase. The fire phase is the easiest to handle. It is fine how you have it. No need to worry."

Chael raised an eyebrow "Do you mean why I know so much about what's been going on or why I know so much about certain topics?"

Chael smiled "Not many people ask that. Well you see, everywhere I go I leave a piece of metal embedded somewhere. It could be in someones clothes or in a wall or even a book. It is a very very small piece. Metal is my element and is very easy for me to synch with. So when I leave the piece behind I can pick up on conversations. Sound is only vibrations that ring into the ear a certain way for it to be received. So I sense the vibrations in the metal when someone talks and translate it into sounds. Every time you see me tap a wall or touch someones clothes or something that has no reason. I am usually embedding my metal." He put a hand through his hair and laughed "once you get it down it's fairly easy. It almost becomes second nature."

"Okay. So did you emb....em....embee..." Amu tried to pronounce the word, but failed. "Em.....Did you put metal inside me as well?" He asked, wondering where he could have placed the metal on himself.

Ash jumped as he touched the flames and got out of the pit, some of his scales were on fire and he was rolling them until they extinguished.The knight knelt down by the fire and made it hot but not flaming hot
"Come here Ash, this will be better."Ash slowely hopped back into the pit sneezing and he started to roll around in the hot embers.

"Sorry Ash." Amu said as he ran over to the dragon and watched him roll around in the embers. "He looks so cute doing that."
